Reviews of local pros in Basking Ridge, New Jersey

The entire team at Arbor Releaf was delayed due to weather setbacks but they were more than worth the wait! They have expertise, passion and pride for what they do, and top line equipment to get the job done correctly and efficiently. If you want the best team at the best price, don't bother slogging through getting all those other quotes from people with questionable customer service and outrageous prices. Go straight to Arbor Releaf. We look forward to working with them for years to come.

Excellent work at a very competitive rate for the 2 trees we needed to bring down. Mark was very professional and always available on text/phone throughout the process. Will definitely recommend and use again.

Excellent service! Very professional and good price! They cut down three large trees, grounded our tree stumps and trimmed a row of our arborvitaes. Will definitely use them again! Give Mark a call for a free estimate.

We have used Markas and Arbor Relief since moving to the area. We have had nothing but positive experiences from the first visit. Fair priced, hard workers, and they do really great work. I definitely give his name to anyone looking for a tree service.

We live in a single family home in Warren, NJ. We had a number of dead/dying ash trees in our front and back yard. We met with a few different tree service companies and finally decided to go with Arbor Releaf. Mark was very helpful and patient with us, answering all of our questions. His crew did an excellent job in a timely manner. In just one day they managed to efficiently cut down all the trees. They had the professional crane and lifting equipment to safely cut down trees close to our house. Some of the logs were removed off property, while others grinded into wood chips.

For the tree stumps that were on our lawn, they did the grinding to level everything and they made sure to get the utility flags placed beforehand to ensure no damage to any underground lines. They did the work in such a way to minimize lawn damage while moving trucks and heavy equipment. Overall we were delighted with the service from Mark and Arbor Releaf, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family. We hope to work with them again in the future.

We had some challenging tree work to be done including removing trees from a power line. The arbor releaf team did a great job cleaned up very nicely. They were very professional and pleasant to deal with. If you are looking around for a good tree company I would strongly recommend calling them for a quote first!

We had a new large crack in a very old tree which was hanging over our home.. was not a good situation with all these storms…Mark came right out for estimate & scheduled us next business day! Can’t say enough about he and his team! Reasonable & fair! Highly recommend Arbor Releaf Tree Experts!!

Great experience with Markas and entire team from Arbor. Markas replied timely to request for estimate and scheduled at time that worked best for us. He explained everything in detail and provided his professional input on the scope of the project. Pricing was given at same time and he said he would be able to get tree removed and branches trimmed near powerlines before the winter storm season. Markas made everything so easy which is a rarity these days. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Arbor Releaf. The arborist Mark is super knowledgeable and helped me figure out the best approach to managing multiple tree issues in my yard. The team was very hardworking and got the job done. If you do an apples to apples comparison with other tree quotes I received, Arbor Releaf easily had the best value. I would definitely use them again!

First time using tree removal services and I’m glad I have chosen Arbor releaf tree expert! The price was reasonable, Mark and his team did a great job!! I would definitely recommend and will choose again in the future!!!

They responded quickly to my request for service and completed the job within the week of my call. They completely cleaned up the area of the tree removal. Their pricing was very fair. I highly recommend them

The guys at Arbor Releaf are polite, courteous, and above all, professional. They were very fast to respond to our original request and walked our entire property to evaluate how we could best look after our trees and decide what to remove. In all, we had them remove 9 trees including 2 which we estimate to be over 60ft tall and locate within 10ft of our house. Arbor Releaf did a great job removing the trees without causing any damage to our home or property and charged an extremely competitive rate. We’re going to continue to work with them for all future pruning and removal projects and recommend them to anyone looking for help with their trees!

The team did an excellent job on cutting a few trees in my back yard and pruning branches over my garden. Everything is cleaned up and the price is also good. Will call them again if I ever need tree services again.

From all the tree removal companies I contacted they were the best priced. Service and the job were performed accurately and timely. Will use them again in the future. Highly recommended!

Update:

The owner of the company was very kind and did fix the grass where it was damaged by resodding the areas. It’s growing in nicely now. I would adjust to higher rating, but I just can’t get past the communication issues.

While they seemed knowledgeable and efficient, I am extremely unhappy with the service provided. At first we were very pleased with the quote and interaction with the owner. However, due to the busy season we had to wait a while to actually receive the service. Now that wouldn’t have been a problem except for how things were handled afterwards. When we reached out to try to inquire about the length of time they estimated getting to us, we received a message that had a very passive aggressive “shut up and wait” vibe to it and that they’ll let us know when they can come. We then heard nothing from them again and just had people show up at our house driving their truck onto our lawn with no notice whatsoever. As I work from home with clients this is not ideal. When I went outside to try and confirm what was going on and to voice my concerns about the truck damaging the lawn, I was told not to worry and that it would be okay. Cut to finding deep tire impressions and destroyed grass all over the yard. The back yard especially. Also, when we had discussed the service and price, we were informed they could leave the wood in the woods behind my property. What I wasn’t told was that they would drive their truck into the trees itself and they ended up damaging so many of the trees on and behind my property. This is such a disappointment because we had such high hopes with the good reviews for this company and such a pleasant beginning. All of this could’ve been avoided with better communication. Sad to see how it went. I will not be returning to this company for business again.

Overall, Mark and his team were very professional and did an excellent job. Very reasonably priced as I got 4 quotes. They cleaned up the yard nicely when completed too. They had a back log of work so I had to wait but Mark kept in touch and let me know timing. I would definitely recommend.

Mark and his Arbor Releaf company has done work for me several times over the past few years. They are incredibly reliable and professional. And a great value for their work. I strongly recommend them. They do a great job!

Arbor Releaf removed 8 large trees from my property and they did an awesome job. They cleaned up all the branches as a result of the tree removal, respected my yard and caused no damaged to my lawn with their heavy equipment. Arbor Releaf is much cleaner and a lot more professional than any other tree service we've used in the past. I highly recommend their service!

Arbor Releaf was by far the most reasonable estimate for tree removal and maintenance. The crew was efficient and professional. Will use in the future and highly recommend to neighbors.

This was my first time to get tree trimming and tree removal service done and am very, very pleased with the work done. I had 2 trees removed and a lot of them trimmed and the crew was very professional, all work was done with great care and all clean up done nicely, and they are not even over priced like others. I am very happy with the job done and will highly recommend to use Arbor Releaf.
Thanks to Markas and his crew.

Mark was extremely easy to work with and very professional. His team came in and seamlessly removed a huge tree and cleaned up all the debree perfectly. Highly recommend Arbor Relief for any tree trimming/removal.
