I recently had a socket and switch installation done at my home, and I am really pleased with their service. They did a very professional job and used high quality materials.
The technicians were efficient, arrived on time and completed the job safely. They replaced my old switch and socket and set it up with a new one, which is now working great.
What I liked the most was their attitude and the quality of their work—everything was absolutely satisfactory. I would definitely recommend their service to others.

These guys are great. A main circuit breaker tripped in my house and it caused power to go out on the entire 2nd floor. I called just about everyone nearby that was listed by google, and no one called back. I started calling electricians in the next town (Bergenfield), and got a call back in 15 mins from NVE.

The owner (Jon) listened, and sent 2 electricians who knew about the problem when they came in. I was expecting major work because a main breaker was instantly tripping (ie. not the smaller room/section breakers). They zeroed in on the problem (lighting wire with insulation that wore out and shorted). That was amazing because I have many lights in the affected area, and they were able to fix within an hour.

They're prompt, professional, do what they say, and they're qualified: both the owner and the company itself are licensed in NJ to do electrical work. Note that many others are just licensed for "Home Improvement".

I'd recommend Northern Valley Electric to anyone who needs qualified electrical work.

I had no power in my house. I called Northern Valley Electric and they were very responsive. Frank and his team showed up on site and replaced the main breaker in my electrical panel and restored power. They were very reasonable in their pricing. And I highly recommend Northern Valley Electric.

I can’t say enough good words about this company. There was a massive storm that took down the power line to my elderly mother’s house where she lives by herself. Power company could not turn her power on back that night due to managed of the conduit pipe. I urgently called Northern Electric the next morning knowing that they were probably going to be busy with all the outages in the area. Jill was so kind and understood my concerns. She asked another customer if they would be willing to move their appointment given my mom’s situation. They graciously agreed and within an hour, the electrician Rich was at the house attending to the damage. He and his crew went above and beyond to fix the damage and they even took the extra steps to contact the inspector as well as the power company to urgently come out to restore her power. They pushed back on myself and Jill but Jill pushed hard and a crew finally came over that evening and restored my mom’s power! She was so happy that she was in tears. I can’t thank both Jill and Rich enough for their kindness. I would recommend them to everyone!

This team is unbelievable!!! They are so friendly and so professional. They double check each others works and make sure everything is perfect! They truly go above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy and the space looks great when they are done with it. I had they put a plate up that was white and they had the sight to tell me it wouldn't look right and I needed to change other outlets and switches to white so everything looked the same. Couldn't recommend this team enough!!

I used Grounded Electric to install a track light and a baseboard heater. Barret responded quickly to my initial inquiry. He sent over his team the next day, and they did an excellent job. I appreciated that they thoroughly cleaned the area after the light installation. They were professional and friendly.

I contracted out Grounded Electric to install an EV charger for my electric vehicle. I had done my research and had purchased the parts needed for the install. I ran the heavy gauge wire myself, along with purchasing the proper breaker for the panel. My panel was full already, but a triplex breaker would allow me to squeeze this in. When I had requested quotes from various electricians, the responses were all over the place.

One place refused to come out at all because I ran my own cable and they don't work on other people's work (rudely might I add). A few didn't respond at all. Other companies tried to upsell me into a bigger panel or a sub-panel. When I questioned why my breaker wouldn't work, one got very defensive and argumentative. I wasn't insinuating anything, I truly just wanted to know why my plan wouldn't work. That same person also man-handled my brand new EV Charger. He opened my brand new, sealed charger (without permission) and proceeded to take the thing a part. I very concerned he was going to either break it with the force he was using or scratch it up with the knife he was using to get it out of the plastic wrap.

Speaking with Barret was a breath of fresh air. Not only was he very professional, he was very accommodating as well. He was supposed to come the next morning, but later called to inform me he would be tied up.
Instead of rescheduling, he was able to give me a quote when I described to him what I needed done and sending him some pictures. He asked if I was an "engineer" by the way I was describing everything to him and it sounded to him like I did my homework.

On the day of work, his crew showed up and we went through the game plan. They were very professional and their craftsmanship is superb. I'm very particular about cable management and how things are done (which is why I ran my own cable), so I can really appreciate how clean and tidy everything is. We tested the charger and everything worked as expected. I couldn't be happier with the service and the work that was completed. Highly, highly recommended
