General Contractor reviews in Bloomfield, New Jersey

Big thanks to Hugo for making the whole process smooth and easy. Highly recommend!

What can I say, this company is beyond expectations. This company is reliable and very professional in all they do. Hugo can fix anything; I gave him my problem and he answered 100%. I've found my house repair company for life....you will not be disappointed.

Hugo did an amazing job helping me fix my ceiling, including the Sheetrock work and painting. He was very fast to respond and was able to come out and fix it as soon as possible. The quality of his work was excellent, and the whole job was completed with incredible professionalism. He provided amazing customer service, was very friendly, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing repairs done right.

You can’t find a better contractor

Used HCRC for a small sheet rock job. The work was completed in a very professional manner, at an affordable price. Very pleased.

Hugo is very efficient and detailed. Finished the job in one day. Responded to my phone call right away and I would hire him again.

H&C came to my rescue.I had a botched job done and they came and re did the job to Perfection. I definitely will use them again when I need repairs and recommend to others. Thank you H&C for the great job done.

I needed a window replaced ASAP and Hugo came through for us! I will highly recommend and hire again for future projects! You will not find a better price!!

Hugo did a great job for me the price was right and the quality of work was top notch. Day and a half job done in one. I already have another project for HC construction.

It's hard to find good reliable people in this world. I was looking for a painter, got lucky and found Hugo. We were looking to repaint a large room, bathroom and staircase. We arranged a time for a free estimate. He was timely, curteous and knowledgeable. He offered to buy the paint at a discount since he is registered as a professional contractor with Sherwin Williams and I'm sure other paint companies. Three days he arrived on time, did clean work and we barely noticed him in the home. The price was reasonable for excellent work. I now know he does many other tasks as a handyman/contractor and will be happy to use him again and recommend him to others.

Recently we required extensive work at our home. Hugo and his staff completed all of the work on time and at the exact price quoted at the outset. His work continues to be first rate.

hugo has done a variety of projects for us - big jobs like installing basement insulation and crown molding and small jobs like replacing stair rails - he is always on time and professional and does a fantastic job!! we will continue to call him for any and all needs in our 100 year old home!!

Hugo is awesome!
Hired him for some missing baseboard moldings. I will always hire him for construction work needed.

Hugo is top notch. He cares so much about his work. He goes the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect for his clients. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

We have used Hugo for several projects in our home now and really can’t recommend him enough. Not only is the quality of his work excellent, but he always offers competitive pricing and puts a great deal of care and attention to detail in everything he does. We will be using him again for sure.

Hugo and his guys did an amazing job painting my condo. Will definitely recommend him!!!

If I could give Hugo 10 stars, I would!

Hugo is an absolute magician with a paintbrush! I hired him to paint my living room, and what he delivered was nothing short of transformational. From the moment he arrived, he was the picture of professionalism—meticulous, respectful, and laser-focused on every detail.

He took great care to cover every piece of furniture and flooring with precision, leaving no corner exposed. But what truly blew me away was how he went above and beyond, repairing cracks in the wall that I didn’t even realize were there! He didn’t just paint—he restored my living room.

The end result? Flawless. Elegant. Like something out of an interior design magazine.

If you’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, treats your home like his own, and delivers excellence from start to finish—Hugo is your guy. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Bravo, Hugo, Bravo

Hugo has done several jobs at my house. My wife is very particular about cleanliness and he is, first and foremost, very tidy and always cleans up after the work is complete. His prices are very reasonable, and the quality of his work has always been excellent. I have not seen a better person who installs and repairs sheet rock. He installed two exhaust fans in my house and even repaired a previous job that was not done correctly. My next job for him is power washing the vinyl siding on my house. He does all the work himself and I highly recommend him.

Hugo has done multiple projects at my home. From windows, painting, and kitchen backsplash were done properly. He’s efficient, communicates well, and is priced reasonably. We love how organized he is and how he cleans up after the project. Also, we are excited to continue to work with him. I recommend him to my friends and family.
