Bernie responded quickly to my request. The rate is reasonable. The team was very professional and efficient. Very nice people to talk to. They cut down three large trees and took away all the leaves and limbs. In the end they cleaned up the work area. Nice job.

From the quotation process to getting trees removed and cleaned off, I have been extremely happy with this company. Bernie was super helpful in getting quotation, and the crew arrived on time and completed the job professionally. Their price was very reasonable. I will definitely contact next time when I need their services.

Bernie came and gave us a reasonable estimate for the 40 foot blue spruce to be removed. The 3 man crew he sent were fabulous!! They efficiently and completely removed the tree with the clean up being 100% appreciated. No chips or any wood scraps were left anywhere on my lawn sidewalk or street. I would highly recommend Bernie Tree Service!!

Bernie’s team works hard to do it right - and they’re safe and neat. To take down my tree they had to work around two sets of power lines. Each downed limb or sectioned trunk was coordinated with surgical precision. My neighbors were so impressed they were calling me asking how to hire them: and three did a few days later.

I’m had an extremely positive experience with Bernie Tree Service. I have a large, old, run down property with several downed trees and other trees that were being strangled by vines in the front yard. I contacted Bernie and received a call-back within minutes. He and his wife showed up within hours of my initial call, surveyed the job and gave me a free estimate on the spot. Even though my job was enormous in scope, Bernie quoted me a very fair + reasonable price and scheduled the job for the following Monday (we met on a Friday night at 5:00 pm). His highly professional team showed up exactly at 8 am the following Monday and worked hard all day until 7:30 pm, until the job was done. I am so pleased with very aspect of my experience with Bernie + his team, that I already gave his information to my neighbor and will absolutely be using his services again when I tackle the equally daunting back yard in the future.

The price is very reasonable. The workers are very professional, got to our house before the scheduled start time and notified us about cautious measures - notify neighbor to move cars away. Crew of three started working immediately - one climbed up the tree with supporting rope and powerful chain saw to start sawing off the branches, then worked to cut off the trunks in pieces. After the first crew finished cutting down the tree, another crew came with powerful machine to lift the tree trunk for the truck to grind and use another machine to grind tree stump. The crew has to maneuver carefully in a limited space to ensure the cutoff branches do not hit any surrounding objects.

I’ve referred several clients to Bernie Tree Service over the years based on work they did at my own property. Bernie Tree Service (or the old company) was always dependable, responsive, and easy to communicate with, which made recommending them easy.

Unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. After a tree fell on a referred client’s property, I reached out right away and passed along a specific request from the client to be notified before anyone arrived. That request was ignored, and someone showed up unannounced—causing confusion and damaging trust.

I also made multiple attempts to reach Bernie directly, but my messages were routed through someone who showed little urgency. Since then, my calls have gone unanswered and are now going to voicemail. The communication and coordination I once relied on are no longer there.

Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend this company. I hope they take this feedback seriously, especially when long-standing relationships and referrals are at stake.

They didn't finish the job, still expected to get paid and called the police when we said we wouldn't pay them until it was finished.

Update: police sided with me and I paid Bernie the cost of the job minus the portion they did not complete. I will hire a reliable company to complete the job. And it is not on a mountain.
