Constraction reviews in Colonia, New Jersey

Morrell Construction is top notch! I needed work done right away and they responded fast and provided me a quote. I wanted to make sure I was getting the best price so I called a couple other contractors (who were not as prompt as Morrell Construction), and Morrell Construction beat their prices by a landslide. I highly recommend this company, who on top of being responsive, they did fantastic work.

I used Morrell construction for some remodeling work in my home from a recommendation from a friend. They did a complete bathroom remodel and put in new cabinets in my kitchen.
These guys were great, very personable and professional all the workers were easily approachable and explained everything thoroughly down to the cost, which was such a comfort as I’ve never done anything like this before as a new homeowner and heard so many horror stories about getting ripped off.
I was able to call the owner Ryan personally to ask any questions during the process too which was great. They were neat, efficient and seemed to really value and look out for us and their work.
The guys even noticed a huge plumbing error in our bathroom from before I got the house and set me up with someone to fix the problem immediately before they went further as to avoid us a huge headache in the future.
I’m so glad I went with this company and will be using them in the spring to start work on our deck and pass them on to anyone I can. Thanks so much again guys!!!!!!!

Ryan and his team (shoutout to Vick and Kyle) were amazing. They did such a great job building a new shower, helped hang multiple light fixtures/mirrors/etc, sheet rocked and repainted our wall and even helped with some plumbing. There was truly nothing they couldn't do and they were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

Thorough professionals, excellent workmanship, and timely communication. This is not a combination I have easily found working with home improvement contractors. Ryan himself oversaw the work, and engaged with 3rd party subcontractors where needed. He assisted me with whatever was needed to complete my insurance claim as well. It was a fairly big job involving a bunch of repairs, flooring and walls and it was all completed in a timely manner with minimal intervention from my side. I strongly recommend Morrell Construction.

I have had two experiences with Ryan and Kyle. They built us a gorgeous master bath that I (we) cherish every day. EVERT DAY! My second call to Ryan last December was a distress call. A large tree fell in our yard and compromised the siding and gutters to our home. (Not to mention knocking out power in my home and my neighbor as well) He was there that very next day and got us sealed up. And it was not simple. I was pretty knocked out by his response and family like care. I recommend Ryan 100% and more. He cares. I love that. I will call every time and any time for "home help" And I know I can count on him and his team.

We had a total kitchen renovation by Morrell construction and they did a great job. We’re thrilled with the way our kitchen came out! The proof is in the pictures.

We needed some major urgent work in our crawl space due to water damage. Ryan and his team were able to stay working within a day of the estimate and did a great job. Their work is high quality, the crew was very friendly and respectful and they cleaned up everything after themselves. We have since used Ryan and his team for a few more projects and will definitely work with him again

If you want someone to go the extra mile and treat the house like it’s theirs, then these are your guys.

Very professional and knowledgeable company Did a fabulous job replacing interior doors and some windows. Ryan was responsive and effective. Vick was amazing with his precision and quality of work Very thorough, clean, reasonable rates Can recommend without reservation

We live in our dream home because of Morrell Construction. The attention to detail, the craftsmanship and above all, the care to stay within budget have been so impressive. This renovation has been over a year in the making and we could not be happier with the result. Ryan and his crew are simply the best! If you’re thinking of doing a home addition or any type of improvement you’d be crazy not to hire Morrell.

Morrell Construction was great to work with. Ryan and Vick were very knowledgeable and did amazing work! He showed up the same day I called expressing my concern for what was going on with my current contractor. We had a leak that led to mold damage and an insurance claim. Ryan dealt with the insurance company and got me more money as well as giving me a better price! It was a great experience. They did fantastic work and i highly recommend them. Thank you all at Morrell Construction!

recommend for prompt service, decent work ethic and reasonable costs for repairs.

Gurdeep and his team painted my home and constructed a custom shed. Good work, done in a timely manner. Most definitely would recommend.

Gurdeep did an excellent work at my home. I had this electrical problem at home and I've consulted more than 3 people (even a certified electrician to fix it). Fixed it right away. Very professional abd courteous. I would hire him again with hesitation.

Gurdeep a pleasure to work with, making improvements both in and outside my home. He is reliable, very pleasant, explains his approach to solving a problem. He looks for ways to do the best job. He provides good value.

I would highly recommend Sawhney Contracting for all of your projects, large to small. Gurdeep is genuine, thoughtful, pays attention to details, and goes above and beyond to make one feel as if they’re his only client.
I’m from MA, and my elderly sister lives in NJ. His 1st project for my sister was to make a beautiful rock garden, with anchored railroad ties bordering the perimeter, he leveled and perfectly squared the entire yard before laying the 1st piece.
He completed the job in one day, and not to mention, it was Labor Day weekend of 2023, when everyone was busy, including him, and he went above and beyond to make it happen.
Now this is what compelled me to write this, my sister had to be moved to an assisted living facility near by, and Gurdeep rented a truck large enough for the contents of a large room, loaded it, and then made sure that each piece was placed exactly how she wanted it. That alone was enough to satisfy the both of us, so when I asked about the cost of the rental……..he told me that I didn’t owe him ANYTHING!!! He said that his own family had been in a similar situation, where the care of a loved one was at stake, and that he wanted to assist us in any way possible.
I was completely overwhelmed by his kindness and generosity, and that’s not all, her townhouse is on the market, and needed a microwave to be installed, once again Gurdeep purchased the microwave and installed it before the place was to be shown by 10am that morning!!!
The world is a better place because of him!!! Words cannot express my gratitude for this wonderful young man.

Gurdeep is a great contractor to work with, provides honest feedback and suggestions to complete the project optimally and flexible to accomodate any change in directions.
We got our basement completed after a flood incident, its now turned into a cool man cave to hang out!! Job well done!!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Deep on a reno project for my home. He was a referral from a friend and so naturally I figured this would be the best way to go. From the very beginning, it was clear that Deep was dedicated and hardworking as he has a regular gig in addition to this. Throughout the process, Deep was consistently professional and approachable. He communicated effectively, making sure I was always updated on the progress and changes that needed to be made always offering advice when needed. His can do it attitude and willingness to go the extra mile (quite literally as he traveled to and fro over 2hrs at my locale) were evident and I genuinely felt he had my best interests at heart. Like any construction project, there were a few bumps along the way. We encountered a few mistakes, which, while frustrating at the moment were handled with integrity. Deep did not shy away rather he took full responsibility and worked diligently to correct them without hesitation. That level of accountability and transparency is rare and appreciated. In the end, the quality of deep’s work was met with great awe and satisfaction. His continuous dedication to his craft and commitment to making sure I was satisfied ensured a very successful outcome. I highly recommend Deep for your contracting needs. His earnestness, hard work, and ability to own up and rectify situations unforeseen make him a trustworthy choice and a stalwart ally. If you’re looking for a GC who does really care about trying to get it right and delivering a good job and easing your wallet… Deep is the one to call.

We couldn’t be happier with the work done on our new kitchen tiles. From start to finish, Viktor and the team were professional, punctual, and clearly skilled at what they do. They paid great attention to detail, making sure every tile was perfectly aligned and the overall finish looked clean and polished.

What really stood out was their work ethic and respect for my home—they kept the workspace tidy and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. They also took the time to answer our questions.

The final result completely transformed my kitchen. It looks fresh and beautifully done. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality tile work. Great job all around!

Highly recommend! The front door installation was done quickly and looks great. He was very responsive, answered all my questions, and arrived exactly on time. Super easy to work with. I would absolutely use him again!

Viktor did an excellent job on my bathroom in Westfield, NJ. The quality of work exceeded my expectations, and everything was completed on time and very professionally. Communication was easy and smooth throughout the project. I’m very satisfied and highly recommend him to anyone looking for top-quality remodeling work.
