Reviews of local pros in Colts Neck, New Jersey

These guys use to be good. My husband contacted them to have some trees pruned. He was told they would come out for an estimate. No one ever came . After 2 more calls and 2 more no shows we gave up. If you don't have a big job don't even bother with these guys. Not reliable.

Perfect job, quick and clean! Due to the snow, and difficult work conditions there were few hidden stumps left. After the snow melting, I called them back for the complete grinding of the stumps. The job was done in short time with no comments. I am very pleased choosing Junior's Tree Services. Many tanks to Debbie from the office, and Pete the who finished the job.

I called JRs Tree Service over 3 weeks ago for an estimate. I was told that someone would come by, evaluate the tree(s) and leave the estimate in my mailbox. After a week, I called back again to check on the estimate as I did not see anything in my mailbox. I was told that they would have someone come out that week. After waiting two weeks for an estimate I called them back for a third time and left a message notifying them that I am still waiting for someone to come by. No one has returned my call and I still do not have an estimate...

Excellent! I highly recommend you use them! They are professional, fair, and go above and beyond. We had a big job to remove 5 large trees and they finished it in one day. They cleaned up the yard, ground the stumps, and were safe removing the trees. Couldn’t be happier!

These guys are extremely professional, fast, and exceptionally kind. They removed two trees for us and ground the stumps. I'd absolutely use them again or recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much, JR's Tree Service.

We hired them to remove a large tree. I found them through one of the coupon mailers. They were quick to drop off an estimate. I didn't see them, so I couldn't tell them about the coupon that said "Must be presented with estimate", but they still honored it without question after the fact. They had to reschedule the removal due to rain, but were quick to call the day prior when it looked like the weather was not going to work out. When they did come, they were QUICK. The tree was down in no time. They cleaned up and didn't leave a leaf behind. We had a miscommunication about what logs to leave behind, so I called back the next day and they came 5 minutes later and picked up the last piece. I'd use them again in a second and highly recommend them.

we've used JR's Tree service over the years in Matawan and they're now doing more work on our new property in Old Bridge. Wouldn't call anyone else. JR and team do a great job!

Second time i called JR to help me - they removed 7 overgrown trees by my pool, removed the stumps, and trimmed a large tree over my deck. GREAT service, GREAT price, and REAL NICE workers. A few years ago they removed a large tree from in front of my house - also a gret job. I strongly suggest you try to get them to help you when tree work is needed.

JR’s tree service removed a large pine tree for a fair price and left no mess. I would definitely use them again and will recommend them to friends and family. Thank you for making the process super easy.

We first used them several years ago for general tree trimming in our yard. We had already received several pricey estimates given to us by other company reps as they looked at us with worried expressions, stating "This is going to be a tough job." When the owner of JR's came he looked around and gave us an estimate a fraction of the others while casually saying "This is no big deal" We have used them several times since then - the last time being yesterday. We were impressed again with the reasonable cost, efficiency of their operation and the clean up of any debris. I can't imagine using anybody else.

Just called for an estimate. Received a hassle-free estimate in my mailbox. Would be happy to use them, but the branch just fell in the storm a few days ago. Should have called. Will call again if needed. Recommended for hassle-free estimate service that doesn't come with tons of follow-up calls or other forms of advertising. Helpful.

JRS is nicely organized with scheduling appointments, and was very informative and patient throughout the permit process. They agreed to the price and stuck with it, even though it took me a couple of weeks to receive the permit from my township.
It took only two hours to remove a very large tree from my property. They were careful with not damaging my nearby shed, garage, and power line. The workers were great and I appreciate their professionalism and hard work. I highly recommend JRS to everyone, as they are the cheapest in the area and give extremely great service. Thank you JRS!

Great work for a great price. Got an estimate for a tree removal and got the job done very quick. Highly recommend JR's.

JR'S tree service is awesome. This is the third time we have used their service. Every time we have used them we had a call back and an estimate a couple days later if not the same day. Their prices cannot be beat.

Their team is polite, professional, and everytime on time. They are very fast at what they do and maintain a clean work site all day long.

I would definitely recommend their service to anyone needing tree work.

Save your self the time and pick another service. If I could give a -1000 stars I would. They just left our home. Rude, adveserial, and argumentative. This was the OWNER, kept telling both my wife and I. “I went to the wrong house because you don’t know where you live.” We gave him the address with zip code. Which is odd because if you live in Old Bridge you know that there is a vast Matawan zip code section. As a 20 year resident and a daughter of a tradesman myself we have hired so many wonderful contractors and given 100’s of reviews and referrals. The worst of the worst.

I have used multiple tree-cutting companies, and compared to others, Junior Tree Service works quickly and professionally, cleans up after the job, and, most importantly, offers a lower price. Others quoted me higher than Junior Tree Service.

I will only use this company from now on.

Recently needed a medium sized dead pine tree taken down. JRs Tree Service responded to my email promptly, came out to give an estimate with and without stump grinding, and then I scheduled the tree removal. Each step of the way JRs was easy, polite, prompt and the crew who came to take the tree down were amazing! Before I knew it the tree was gone. The price was beyond fair with a stump grinding included and I cannot be more satisfied with the whole process and the work done. Honestly an above and beyond run operation with an above and beyond crew.

Can’t say enough good things about this company. Professional, polite, and excellent pricing. I’ve used them before., And I will always use them.JR is a great guy.

Cleared a full 5 acres of trees in 3 days. Amazing work. Highly recommended. Thanks for the great work guys! Andy

Thank you, NJ Arbor, for conducting the tree inspection. Fortunately, pruning and trimming were sufficient, and I’m happy to hear that we didn’t need to cut down or transplant the tree.

Thanks so much !!
