ICUNJ replaced a residential main sewer line for us. Professional service, prompt and accurate communication, thorough clean up after the job was complete. Would definitely recommend.

Solicited quotes from many contractors for a sewer pipe blast replacement. By far the most knowledgeable and experienced. Their relationship with township ops also came in handy. Whole project went very smoothly.

Used icunj on 8/8/2020
Experience was number one. Steve and his crew installed entire sewer line. Like it was a walk in the park. His crew is by far superior, all state of the art equipment, they work harder then any crew I ever hired in my life.
Thank u Steve from the bottom of my heart. Not to mention property is left spotless.
Thank you Steve

We had some incredibly old, long sewer lines to replace that just shouldn't be dug up. Digging the lines would have closed down our tenants including the US Post Office. ICU burst our old lines and replaced them with a new lines in two locations. They did it with a minimal amount of disruption. They ran into solid concrete around the old lines that we were unaware of. Really tough jobs ! A fantastic outfit!!

Selling a house is stressful.Finding out you need a new sewer line 3 weeks before closing is even worse. I called Steve after doing some research and I have to say his response, knowledge , advice and ultimately doing the work made this the best 5 minute call ive made in years. Integrity is a word that gets thrown around a lot but this man definitely has it . He took care of everything start to finish , permits, road closing , bond and of course the entire sewer line replacement via trenchless pipe bursting . He showed up when he said he would , mucked right in with his crew, stayed for the duration and made sure the work area was cleaned up. Also arranged the final inspection/permit closing . Oh and the price was fair to cap it all. I would recommend him and his crew for any sewer related issues in a heartbeat .

This was an amazing operation! This crew arrived early morning and went right to work and continued to work all day into early evening. Not only did they repair the broken sewer line without digging a huge trench and damaging masonry around the home, but they filled the hole and leveled the ground, planting grass and covering the area with straw.
This was one of the most pleasant groups if men we’ve ever had. They were of good cheer with us and each other. They worked carefully and cleaned everything, sweeping the whole cellar.
This was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and I wholeheartedly recommend engaging the services of Integrated Construction & Utilities. -
I reached out to integration construction utilities to get an estimate on a sewer line separation which I felt was caused by work done by PSE&G. Steven went above and beyond to repair my issue in a timely manner as well as documenting the repair process and writing a report which led to PSE&G reimbursing me for the damage to my property. Steven and team are A++ I highly recommend them and will use them in the future without hesitation.

ICUNJ was able to dislodge two rocks that were stuck in my sewer line after Rotor router came and charged me for a clean out that did not get the rocks out. It took them 3 hrs of hard work to move the rocks to the main line. I found them to be very experienced and professional and recommend them highly.

Before I begin, I just want to say that if you have a sewer line problem there is no other contractor that comes close to the knowledge and expertise of Stephen and his crew. With that said, when our problem occurred we were unsure who to trust with this type of job. After doing research we came across ICUNJ’s website and reached out for more information. Upon the first phone call, Stephen spoke with me for over 30 minutes and answered all of my questions without any promise of being guaranteed the job. We scheduled for him to come out to assess the situation with an estimate free of charge. He was beyond professional and immediately we knew that ICUNJ was the outfit to complete the job professionally and correctly. While we worked out the specifics with our insurance company Stephen was patient in answering all of our questions. Bottom line is - Don’t call anyone else. ICUNJ made a stressful sewer problem into a seamless resolution. Thank you again Stephen and crew!

I have experience dealing with contractors both at work and with recent projects in and around the house. Just meeting them you know that they are pros in their field. They finished the job in a day! Even the policeman assigned to the street closure was impressed with the quality of work. Steve and the rest of the crew treated my property is if it were their home and they were thorough with describing the steps and work involved. So glad I found these guys!!

I had my sewer overflow three times into my basement over the last three years from roots. I paid $500 each time for someone to come out and cut the roots, which was like putting a temporary band aid on a bigger problem. After the third time, the overflow happened again just a few days later and I started scrambling to figure out my options: excavation, pipe lining, or pipe bursting. Excavation was out of the question because it was under patio pavers and the cost would have been too much. I talked to 4 contractors about pipe lining, and after talking with them, it sounded like the right move. Fortunately, I called Steve from ICUNJ. Since his company does both pipe lining and pipe bursting, he didn't try to push me one way or another. After doing additional research, I can say confidently that pipe bursting is the better option if it is possible. I found most of the contractors cannot do pipe bursting and they tried to say pipe lining is the better option. The number one incorrect claim they said was that pipe lining is continuous and pipe bursting has joints.
Steve's crew was very professional and friendly. I was impressed they did the entire project in one day. I now have a continuous (no more root problem) 60 foot piece of HDPE pipe running from my house to the city sewer that will last me over 100 years. I highly recommend talking with Steve if you are in a similar situation. He was very helpful and patient in answering all of my questions. -
We called IC&U because of a sewer blockage that overflowed into my basement. Steve was highly recommended to us, we called and Steve the owner, answered the phone himself when I called. Within a half hour two the workers arrived and diagnosed the problem. The repair was done the very next day. Protective tarps were put down in my home, my driveway and the landscaping work we just had done was intact during the course of the work. My neighbors came out to see the work they were doing and we were all impressed from their professionalism, their neatness and care they showed for our property. I highly recommend this Company!!!!

We had a main sewer line failure at one of our homes, within hours of the call Steve and his team had the project quoted, very fairly might add and were in process of the replacement. Very impressed with the response time and service we received. We plan on using them on other upcoming projects we have. Great Job guys, really appreciate it!!

A few months after moving in to our house, we discovered that we had to have the main sewer line snaked annually to remove roots from a tree that was situated between the curb and the sidewalk. We did this for many years.
We got estimates from several contractors to replace the old ceramic line. All involved digging up the landscaping, stone walkway and cement sidewalk in our front yard. The cost of replacing the sewer line would be many times the cost of having the line snaked regularly over decades, and there was no guarantee that the hardscaping in our front yard and our driveway would not be damaged in the replacement process.
After our basement toilet overflowed twice in one week, we decided to bite the bullet and have the work done.
We researched “sewer line replacement” on the Internet and came across ICUNJ’s website. It clearly, thoroughly and intelligently explained everything one could possibly learn about sewer line replacement. I filled out the online form and received a call from Steve within the hour. It was a far cry from some guy standing in our yard, shaking his head and sighing as he described the costs and damage of the trench method of replacement. Here was someone having a real discussion with me, asking detailed questions about my situation and concerns while further educating me about my options. He was patient and articulate, and even pulled up a satellite photo of my house to get an idea of what might be involved in street repair. We arranged for him and his crew to come and do a free video assessment of the sewer line. All the other contractors I spoke with charged $300-$500 for a video assessment.
Steve and two crew members did their assessment, and Steve explained how they would deal with the situation by doing a burst replacement of the sewer line. No landscaping or hardscaping would be disturbed, and the cost would be substantially less than any of the trench replacement estimates we had gotten. Steve was extremely professional, patient and personable to my husband and me, and to his crew members. Not only would the work be guaranteed for life, but they would take care of any overflow problems that occurred before the work could be done, free of charge.
A date was set – no deposit required – and Steve and his crew arrived, having taken care of all town-related issues. They efficiently and respectfully did the job. No mystification of the process, no talking down to me as a woman, no exasperation or scratching of their heads, no mistakes or drama of any kind. No mess.
We learned that most of the roots problem was in the connection between our line and the town line. When the town public works supervisors arrived, Steve showed them the evidence. My husband and I had been told the same thing by one of the plumbers who had snaked our line in the past. However, the town denied any responsibility when we brought the issue to them, and having no incontrovertible proof, we had to drop the matter. However, due to ICUNJ’s work, the town now knows that any future roots-related problem is their responsibility. -
Steve conducted a residential sewer line replacement on on an old clay sewer line with cracks, damage, and root intrusion. The sewer line services two homes and was in tight quarters. Steve recommended pipe bursting to minimize disturbance to existing structures. Other companies wanted to use traditional open trench sewer line replacement which would require the demolition of a deck and walkway—not the case with pipe bursting.
Steve made the process as easy as possible and willing to work around our busy schedules. Steve and his crew are very professional and will get the job done right. I will personally recommend his services to my friends and family. -
Steve & his crew came out for our emergency overflow of our sewer line. They replaced the line in a timely fashion. They are professional and great at their job. Every step that was needed to be done was explained and the crew was very neat considering what the job entails. We highly recommended Steve and the crew of ICUNJ of Edison, NJ.

We hired Integrated Construction & Utilities after receiving a few estimates for a sewer line replacement. Steve's responsiveness, overview of his services and transparency led us to hire IC&U. Within days, Steve had his crew, local police, and PSE&G lined up for the work. Steve walked me through the process, and stopped throughout the day to explain each significant step. His team was a well-oiled machine— everyone knew their role, and worked together to stay on task and on schedule. Cleanup was without issue, and Steve was onsite to communicate with the neighbors in advance, and check in with them after. I highly recommend Steve and his team.

Steve is a consummate professional, incredibly ethical, & upheld the highest standards in our interactions. His crew are extremely competent, hard working, & very friendly. Everything in the previous reviews is completely accurate. ICUNJ is described in such glowing terms that it seemed too good to be true. But in my experience, they ARE that good!
I could not have been happier with their work on my very extensive sewer & water line replacement project. The pricing was very fair as well. Many thanks, ICUNJ!
