Very nice person came out and gave a fair quote for tree removal. Unfortunately, never returned (several) phone calls and emails to set up a one to remove the tree.

They did a great job of removing a huge tree in our backyard in one day at a reasonable price with fast service! We will definitely refer them and we thank them for their outstanding job!

Peter is an exceptional, knowledgeable arborist and over all just a good soul who gives you a fair price and doesn't try to over sell you on work on your trees if they don't need it. I called him about a very large, old oak in my fenced in backyard that was literally falling apart. Because of the fence, it had to be removed without big equipment. Peter climbed it and cut it down limb by limb. His two-person crew did a great job with clean-up. Peter is really busy so it might take a few follow-up calls until he can get to you, but it definitely is worth the wait. If you love your trees like I do, call Peter. Other tree services will come in and cut whatever you want, but with an arborist like Peter he's only going to take out what's really good for the tree.

This is an overdue review from the fall of 2022.
I had Pete come out to give me an estimate to cut down a dead tree and remove some trees that had fallen prior.
Pete seemed like a nice guy, told me what I needed to do and what I didn't really need.
What was weird, was that he never gave me a quote on the spot, told me he'd get back to me.
I only wanted to quote two guys so I could quickly get the work done, so it was unfortunate that Pete never did get back to me.
I called the office multiple times, where a polite woman told me Pete would get back to me "this evening" multiple times.
Fast forward a week later, still no quote. By the time I tried to reach out to the other company on their quote they were booked up for a few weeks.
This seems like a small mom and pop shop, doesn't seem like they can handle much work or doesn't care to.

Also, there are four businesses listed for Moosewood Tree Service on google, all with the same phone number, seems shady to me.

You're better off not wasting your time like I did.

Pete and his co-worker were very professional. They were also very neat and fast. And after the cleanup it just looked like the tree just disappeared with no sign of how it happened, lol.
Pete is also an awesome and easy-going person!

I had a tree down due to the recent winter storm. They responded promptly to my call. Johnny came out, took a look and gave a quote for the tree removal and the grinding of the stump. The quote was competitive and we discussed further details on the phone. Johnny kept in contact with me. and held to our arrangements. His team was careful in ensuring no further damage was done.to the neighbor's fence during the tree removal. All traces of the fallen tree were removed The day after the tree removal, they came as scheduled and ground the stump. The area was very clean when they were done and I'm happy with the service I received.

Highly Recommended! John and his team were extremely professional and efficient. They had open communication about timeline, recommendation of work to be done, and cost. They were quick, and cleaned up everything so nicely. This work was for a tree that had fallen against our pool during a heavy snowstorm. John was extremely busy, but returned quickly to help us. Extremely reliable, friendly, and reputable to work with!

This is our 3rd time using Able Tree Service. They have done an excellent job with our trees. They are efficient and reasonable priced. When they leave they clean up all debris. Would recommend and use again.

Complete waste of time. After providing a quote and putting me on the calendar, he waited until the actual day of the job to text saying he couldn't do the work for the agreed price as he needed more equipment.​ A professional should be able to accurately bid a job during the initial walkthrough. It is an extremely poor business practice to bait-and-switch a client once they are already committed to a date and have planned around it.

Johnny and his team were great this morning! They came out to remove a tree for us that was starting to become a liability to our house and neighbors. Very professional and cleaned everything up. Will definitely recommend to anyone even thinking about any tree related services.

Came out to give a quote for a tree removal...was $2,000 more than than the next tree removal quote...and $3,100 more than the (licensed and insured) company we hired. So make sure you get several quotes.
