Steve, Michelle and the team were great to work with. Steve took the time to discuss the project in person, brainstorm a number of possibilities, and work with us to give our patio a bold new makeover! We are thrilled with the outcome, and if we need more landscaping projects, Bolesta will be our first choice.

Bolesta Landscaping did a fantastic job with various jobs for us. They turned an overgrown mess into a clean and tidy landscape while also cleaning up trees and hedges around our property. Stephen has a great eye for areas around the property that could use some work and makes good suggestions without being pushy. We’re very happy with him and his team’s work and will certainly be calling again in the future for any other projects!

The company was referred to me by a friend, which I mentioned to Bill on the phone. Bill came out to the property and was really nice and professional at initial meeting, as well as on the phone prior. Was told Id receive the estimate in a few days. Ok great. A few days went by, and No estimate. I reached out to follow up. Bill said Id receive the estimate by Monday (an entire week after he came out to the property). Monday came and went and still no estimate. Never received the estimate at all. Strange.

Bill and his team have been cutting my grass for years. Recently we asked him to come up with some ideas to transform the landscape of our property. Bill had some amazing ideas which he implemented over the course of a couple of weeks. The end product was amazing and far beyond our expectations. I highly recommend LDS!

I just finished a job using LDS, and can't say enough about both the process and the outcome. This wasn't a small project, and involved plants, irrigation, lighting, sod, mulch and design work. Bill and his crew started early and worked late every day. They were communicative, creative, clean and dependable. LDS knows their stuff, are passionate about what they do and take pride in both their work. A+ experience.

I recently hired Landscape Design Strategies to clean up and make several upgrades to our front and back yards. This involved several of their services; such as pruning various plants, planting a tree, installing aluminum edging along our gardens and putting down fresh mulch, removal of unwanted gravel and a deteriorating stone structure, restoring and sealing a stone patio and walkway, and leveling a portion of our yard where they installed a concrete foundation for a shed.

Given the scope of work, I wanted to have a pretty detailed breakdown in the estimate, which they patiently worked through with me. They were upfront about options that could potentially increase the cost, and we only ended up deviating slightly from the estimate because of some optional adjustments we decided to move forward with.

In my case, we primarily discussed the project over email. Based on my experience in the busy summer season, it's fair to say that they generally didn't initiate discussion to confirm things like timing or payments after the initial estimate, but did respond promptly if I reached out. I recommend communicating proactively if you're unsure about details of your project.

As for the work itself, it took place over a few days. The workers usually arrived early at around ~8 A.M. and worked to around ~5 P.M. I appreciated that they took some precautionary measures to avoid damaging our plants while working on removing, cleaning, and installing stonework nearby. The finished work is clearly done by professionals and looks great–I would highly recommend Landscape Design Strategies if you have a similar project in mind.

They showed up to my neighbor’s property. He lives on a corner, so there was plenty of parking for their three trucks. Instead of parking in front of my neighbor’s property, one of them decides that they should block my driveway instead. I immediately run out to ask them to move up a bit so that I won’t be blocked in (since I work from home and use my lunch break to run errands and my lunch break had just started). I go back inside. When I check again, they haven’t moved. So I come back out and take a photo. At this point, the guy that appears to be the owner gets mad at me for taking a photo, says that there’s no need for them to rush, etc. He even suggests that they aren’t blocking me in that much, even though it’s almost half of my driveway entrance (and I have a midsized SUV).

I would definitely not hire a company that has no consideration or respect for my neighbors. A simple sorry, we’ll move it, followed by prompt moving of their truck would have sufficed. Also, they should NEVER be parking in front of driveways EVER. If they happen to do this again, I won’t give them the courtesy of asking twice for them to move… I’ll just put in a call to the authorities and get them ticketed or towed so that they can be inconvenienced just as much as they are inconveniencing me. :-)

We used LDS to install a paving stone patio in our back yard replacing an existing deck and concrete walkway around our pool. We also had a fire pit installed. Our experience was absolutely top notch. Bill and his crew were great to work with. We are extremely happy with the outcome. The crew was exceptional. They had tremendous attention to detail not just installing the pavers but ensuring that they looked great. At the end of each day they would not just pick up tools and leave. They would additionally use blowers and a hose to wash down the area to remove the dirt and dust. All-in-all we had a truly 5 star experience with LDS. We highly recommend them.

LDS worked with us to create a landscape design using native plants and incorporating varieties based on our preference. Bill (the owner) was wonderful to work with and created a layout that matched our preferences and budget. The installers were professional and kept our property clean. I highly recommend them!

LDS has been working at our home in Middletown, NJ for 6 years doing varies jobs. It started with a natural stone walkway, to lawn care and most recently redoing our front landscaping. We are very happy with each job and continue to use LDS for our lawn care and couldn't be happier with the results.

LDS did such an incredible job cleaning up my dilapidated property. Years of neglect was no match for Bill and his team of professionals. They were so prompt, thorough and didn't leave a trace they were there other than beautiful, clean yards I had no idea were so spacious. They took great care of and tended to every single section. From weeding and mulching to the removal of two trees and more English Ivy than you can shake a stick at, I couldn't be happier with the results and I look forward to using LDS again for future projects. Finding a quality company run by confident, competent and honest people can be a daunting and intimidating task. I'm very lucky I found Bill and his staff.
