UPDATE: After posting this as a 3 star review, we received a phone call from the owner. He apologized for the high price and refunded us $200, as well as leaving his personal cell phone should we need to speak with him in the future. Since we have always been very pleased with their work and Tom addressed our concern promptly, I have upped this to 5 stars, where it would have been except for this issue. Next time, I will address the pricing up front.
I have been dealing with Plumb Rite for several years and have always been pleased. However, they have now lost me as a customer! Their technician was friendly and very knowledgeable. But at a very steep cost. The water heater they installed only 3 &1/2 years ago needed a new valve, the cost covered by warranty. We were charged $577.91 for the labor, which went smoothly and did not take an unreasonable amount of time. Additionally, we inquired about having a faucet replaced on our bathroom sink and the quote was for $549.00 which the office told me was their flat rate. We are having it done by a licensed plumber for less than half that price. Very disappointed in what seems like a ripoff by a company we have recommended to many of our friends.
