Been using Homegrown exclusively from everything to biweekly lawn cuts to large excavating and backyard remodeling projects; an easy five star review. Punctual, professional, friendly, easy to communicate with, and care about their (great) work. Can’t recommend enough!

We were very happy with Homegrown Landscaping. Working with Steve was great- they pushed hard to finish the job in time for a special event we were having. Everyone was professional and friendly. We loved the results and we got a lot of comments from neighbors and family on how great our yard looked.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. The service is subpar at best. They don’t even bother to pick up sticks in the yard—they just mow around them, leaving the place looking half-done. To make matters worse, they changed their prices mid-year without warning, and their weeding charges are outrageous for the little work they actually do. Honestly, there’s no real difference between this company and having a neighborhood kid cut your lawn.

The spring cleanup was mediocre, and they completely neglected the bushes, letting them become overgrown and messy. They also edged so deep and wide that it’s become a safety hazard—someone could easily trip or get hurt. On top of all this, the owner constantly talks about how expensive it is to run his business, as if that’s supposed to justify the poor service and price hikes. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Update 10/26/24: I was mistaken the company, Homegrown, bought my account that did raise my price in the middle of the season in 2023. I am absolutely Homegrown’s customer this year 2024 (wish I got a welcome letter or something). Everything else is accurate in my post. Matt, the owner, did call me to “try to make it right”. When I explained I did give them several chances for him to address my issues. He then basically called me a liar. Recommend finding a real lawn care provider who cherishes your business. Homegrown Landscaping isn’t quality or professional.

Had the team do restoration work after sewer line replacement, plus seasonal clean up and lawn care. Communication was quick, work was scheduled and completed quickly. They did an AMAZING job. Green Legion Landscaping and Tom are first class! They have done landscaping, lawn work, leaf removal and more at my house for years. They are responsive, price more than fairly, do the highest quality work and there to serve the customer in any way it is needed. Can't recommend their service enough!

I hired Tom and his team to remove a large mound of dirt and rocks with some trees haphazardly planted. They arrived on time and quickly assessed the job. It required a bit more labor than initially anticipated due to some rocks being cemented to an old stone fountain buried beneath everything. Nevertheless they ensured everything was done timely, safely, and with minimal disruption to my yard.

From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. The cleanup afterward was excellent; no debris left behind. Their pricing was competitive, and the quality of work was top-notch.

I will definitely be using their services again in the future! I couldn’t be happier with their service.

I found this company on Thumbtack and boy am I so glad I did! We needed a last cut for the year and our leaves cleaned up and put on the side. Everybody else told me they were either fully booked or they were charging me an arm and a leg. Someone came out and gave me an estimate same day we were more than satisfied. They were able to get the job a few days after which was perfect. Me and my husband are satisfied with the work they did and will use them again!
