Appliance Repair reviews in Fairfield, New Jersey

On 7/14/2026 at approximately 9:05 AM, a Hobart Service van (Ford Transit 250, NJ plate XPE-M67) merged into my lane on Scotland Road without signaling, cutting off my vehicle and nearly causing a collision. My child was in the car at the time.
At the following red light, the driver exited his vehicle, approached my car, and verbally threatened me — despite having caused the near-collision himself. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a company representative operating a marked service vehicle, especially with a child present.
I’m filing a police report regarding this incident and expect Hobart Service to address the conduct of this driver immediately. A company vehicle should not be used to intimidate other drivers on the road. -

They make the best mixers. They are close to my business and have great parts. A bit high in price but nice quality.

Guys came out quickly and serviced my machine in no time! Awesome and friendly technician explained in great detail what happened! Highly reccomend!

You trust the "experts" to fix your machine. Simple mistake cost me another 500$. The "customer" needs to confirm the "expert" tightened all the screws. Doesn't make sense.

Hobart machines are too expensive for what they are and service is even worse . Stay away...I own two they always need service and its never less $300 to show min. Main board went on new one after 1 year they wouldn'y help. For a 4k machine this is really bad wish I has cheaper version and I wousl just replace new ever two years it would be cheaper less headache! You have been warned.

This place has some of the most knowledgeable people working here. I got sent here by my boss under the impression he had already coordinated with them and I was picking up a few parts. Turns out that he did no such thing and also didn't give me any of the information I needed to provide Hobart with. I wish I remembered his name but a guy working there was able to determine exactly what I needed and what it was for instantly after just looking at a small 2 inch broken piece of metal. Hats off to him. I'm betting my boss never sent them the email they need to coordinate so I'm sure I'll be back

If i could a 0 I would. They were suppose to fix a leak, well they came out and replaced hose but still leaking, then came out again and tried something else, we'll finally the 3rd time everything was fixed. Then I got a bill for $2k bc they charged me everytime they came back out. What terrible business practice. NEVER use them again. This is horrible how they screw people

We have had the machine for more than 10 years and need to change the grease, so we called the service to arrange a grease change. We were told that it did not need to change it now but in a few months. Since the technician was at our shop so we asked to change it the day. But he did not have it so need to come back with it. That was $501.26!
Nothing was solved but they charge us money. I don't think they are professional. We never had this disrespectful service but this company.
We called the service and someone will reach out to us but no one has called. -
John was awesome. He went the extra mile for us. He was wonderful, you’re very lucky to have him!

We called Jay Hill to repair a grill. Was charged $720. Called them back because it still wasn’t working. They refused to come back out. Seriously? Not the right thing to do. Luckily we found someone else to fix it for $200. Lesson learned we should’ve done a little more research before having Jay Hill come out.

May 2023 out banquet hall which is a non profit Knights of Columbus paid them 480.00 to fix a 800.00 fryer. Looked like a 25.00 part. 9 months later we’re having the same problem. This time it 500.00 to fix. The lady on the phone didn’t seem to care about our issue. So no, I cannot recommend them.

We hate writing reviews... particularly bad ones. But this needs to be done. We hired this company about 2 years ago regarding an issue with our Blast Chiller. They sent a tech out on two consecutive days as they were unable to rectify the issue on the first attempt.... And sadly at all.
When it was all said and done we were in the hole for several thousands of dollars in those two days! This would have been fine if they had actually fixed the problem; however; the very next day our unit stopped working once again. So after several thousands of dollars spent...
We were then hit with an estimate for over 8k to replace a compressor with no guarantee that it would fix the issue.
So in three days- we were looking at about 12k expense for these guys. Already wary of the results, we decided to hire a smaller, local company who came in and in 2 hours made some adjustments to the unit. Total Cost: slightly over 300 dollars.
Needless to say- its two years later and we're still functioning. The most insane thing about the entire experience however was that on Day 1(the original date of the service call), the tech came in spent about 15 minutes inside the blast chiller and about 30-40 minutes on the roof... then spent a couple of hours in his van(which we were billed for) while waiting for the unit to cool. When he returned the next day the same tech said he had to look for a leak. He then spent several hours looking for a leak (he didn't find one).. When we asked why he didn't look for the leak the day before when he was sitting in his van; he replied.. "It doesn't work that way." True story. We don't take pride in writing this review at all; but it needs to be said. -
Our technician, Addison, was very professional, clearly knowledgeable, and super friendly and informative. Wonderful service!!!

I just purchased a home with a professional range and wanted to be sure it was working properly. Jay Hill dispatched a technician the same day that I called and he located and repaired a small gas leak. He also answered my questions (many) about cleaning and maintaining the unit. I would definitely recommend Jay Hill and will use them in the future if any other service is needed.
