Reviews of local pros in Glen Gardner, New Jersey

Jesse and his team were excellent. He gave me a fast and fair estimate. They completed a pretty complex job in one day and cleaned up the site perfectly. I highly recommend Spartan Tree Service.

From the estimate to the end of the job, Jesse was a top-notch professional who delivered! He and his crew take great pride in their work. Jesse was laser focused when taking down two large maples close to our house and took down a dead ash, falling it between two other trees with precision. His crew, Mike and Zack, stacked and cut wood for us to use later, chipped and cleaned up branches and limbs, leaving our property in great shape despite the machinery that was buzzing around throughout the day. Stump grinding left no sign of the trees and bushes that were once there. Jesse and his crew ensured that when they left, we were satisfied with all that had been done. We were extremely pleased with choosing Spartan Tree Service for the job!

Spartan Tree Service is amazing! Jesse took our inquiry involving a dead tree quickly, came to our house to assess the situation, quoted on the spot, and our tree was down promptly. He is very kind, professional, and timely. 10/10 recommend. I would give higher than 5 stars if I could.

I had to reach out to several tree services when my kids alerted me to problems with a large tree in the yard next to my house. The bark had pulled away and there were cracks along the trunk and it was leaning, in danger of falling on the roof over my child’s bedroom. Jesse from Spartan Tree Service got back to me very quickly and when I explained my situation he came out to evaluate immediately. I have a very wooded lot with an almost 100 year old home, so many of the trees around it are huge. But, with the ash beetles over the past few years we have had several trees die and it has been a huge yearly expense with other companies that have resulted in negative experiences. However, I am so relieved at how well things went from beginning to end with Spartan. Jesse evaluated my yard and let me know only the trees that were at the most risk of endangering the house to keep things affordable for me. He saw the issue with the main tree and agreed it was urgent it be removed and he was able to come the next morning with a crew of guys (that were both professional and nice) to remove that and 7 other trees. They even grinded several additional stumps left over from a previous tree service who never returned to finish the job. All in all, from first phone call to job completion it was about 48 hours and it looks great. I am very impressed by this company and will definitely be calling Jesse in the future when we need help with tree removal again. Awesome company and experience!

Jesse and his crew came to cut down 4 big trees on our property. They were punctual and left the site spotless for such a big job. We will definitely consider them again for other tree work needed.
Definitely a company you can trust to get the job done right!

I was referred to Jesse and his team by word of mouth, and I am very pleased they were recommended. He assessed my concerns quickly and completed the job quickly. I had multiple ash trees that needed to be taken down, dead pine trees, a very large willow that fell with the July 2023 flood (that willow dulled 4 chainsaw blades in 10-15 minutes when we attempted to get rid of it), and a walnut tree removed, they even grinded the stumps! You couldn't even tell they were there after they left, my property looks brand new and better than ever! Jesse was also flexible with my schedule. I absolutlely would highly recommend Spartan Tree Service for all your tree needs. Thank you for helping me with mine!

Outstanding team! Tree was down quickly and cleaned up in under three hours. Great crew.

I highly recommend Spartan Tree Service and here's why: they're fully insured (workers comp and liability) they have their own crane, which most tree guys don't; the owner responds to you quickly when you call or text and he shows up when he says he will. He and the crew did an excellent clean up when they were all done with the work. I'll certainly use them again when I need more trees removed. Give them a call, you won't be sorry!

Jesse and team always do a great job for a fair price. This is my second time using Spartan and they came through again. They're thorough, professional, and have some state of the art equipment. Highly recommend.

Jesse and the team do fantastic work. They are courteous, respectful of the property, and put extra effort into cleaning up to leave the area looking neat.
Price was very fair as well. We will be calling Spartan again the next time we need work done.

Jesse and crew were hired to remove 14 dead ash trees on my property. They did an excellent job doing so, and they even took care of some additional fallen trees/logs/brush in the area. They also did an amazing job at cleaning up the site afterwards. Highly recommend Spartan and will be using them any time I need tree work in the future.

These guys are the best! We had a tough job all other tree companies would not even consider doing. Jesse with Spartan Tree Services was very responsive in coming to look at our tree and and able to orchestrate a very technical high risk tree removal in less than 24 hours. His crew was beyond fantastic with a deep connection to our area. Spartan Tree the best around.

Best tree service I have ever used. Exceeded expectations. So professional, Jesse and his crew did a fantastic job. you would never have known we had trees dropped in our yard. It was so clean when they left. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommend Spartan Tree service!

Spartan did a great job for a good price! We had many large, dead trees around our house and our neighbors' house that needed to be taken down. The layout of our property is not easy to work at. Jesse and his crew were very professional and did an outstanding job in a short amount of time. They cleaned up the property beautifully. He's got the right equipment for difficult locations. We are very pleased with Spartan's work.

Extremely happy with my experience with Spartan Tree Service. Jesse and his crew were able to get a large job done quickly and efficiently in one day leaving our yard cleaner than when they arrived in the morning. They are very detail oriented and know what they’re doing. They got here early and worked hard all day, would recommend to any and all who need work done.

What an incredible experience we recently had with Spartan Tree Service LLC. From start to finish, Jesse and his crew were beyond efficient, experienced and thorough. We had several huge trees taken down. One of the huge trees was a mere few inches from the power lines that run along our street and a transformer. Yet Jesse and his crew were able to maneuver his amazing state of the art (robotic) machinery with the right skill and dexterity necessary to remove it. There is no doubt about who we would call if/when we should need more tree work. Absolutely the best experience on all fronts we've ever had with any tradespeople.

Jesse and his crew were quick and efficient on an emergency job that needed to be done fast. They handled all the hard work easily. Would recommend any day of the week, rain or shine, and especially if you have a tree through your house.

I am so pleased with the quality of work done by Jesse and his team. I have been working to get rid of the ash trees for 3 years now. Spartan hands down was the best … start to finish- knowledgeable, timely, (estimated job quickly & came when he said they said they would), courteous, safety focused and treated my home as their own. Fair price for such hard work and beautiful clean up. I told Jesse I could hardly tell they were here but the ugly dead trees are gone. They all made my day!!! I will definitely use Spartan again. Really hard, focused workers. God bless these guys and keep you safe. Thank you Spartan !!!

We had a great experience with Spartan! We had a dangerous tree dangling over our barn and they removed it for us. Jesse was prompt in providing us with an estimate and was able to complete the work that week. Very professional and thorough and they left the area cleaned up nicely. I thought the crew was very courteous too.

Cannot say enough good things about Spartan Tree Service! From the initial meeting with Jesse, the owner, to the walk around with the tree crew at the end of the job, they were nothing less than professional, courteous, knowledgable, and did a fantastic job!
I liked their focus on safety as they all wore protective gear and took all the necessary steps to ensure that all 3 trees came down safely with no damage to a nearby house and fence. There was no rush or cutting corners.
Their price was very reasonable and their timeline was rather quick. They arrived on time and got right at it.
I would highly recommend Spartan Tree Service for your tree removal needs!!

The service was very good. The tree was very large and in a difficult spot. Very impressive job. I would call Spartan Tree Service again.
