I have to start by saying I didn't hire this company. Our next door neighbor is having a massive amount of landscaping work done. Today, while they were dumping dirt into the neighbor's front yard, they misjudged the distance from the dump truck to the electrical poles, and the truck wound up taking down wires connected to our house, knocking out our internet/cable and damaging one of our gutter pipes. I had to deal with Verizon, I'm still not sure if I'm going to get a bill, and they didn't come clean about the crushed pipe--the cable guy told me about it. I had to call our roofer/gutter cleaner to fix the pipe. And if I hadn't been home at the time, I wouldn't have known any of this. They gave me their information to contact them, but I was quite upset about what happened and how much of my time was used trying to correct the damage that was done.

I’ve had a great experience working with Scenic and their sister companies over the years. When I first built my home about 13 years ago, I met with several landscape firms, but Scenic stood out for their thoughtful design approach, creativity, and depth of knowledge.

Since then, the property has truly evolved into something special. The gardens they designed continue to mature beautifully each year, and I still appreciate how everything comes together across the landscape. Their team handled both the design and installation, including the gardens, driveway, and detailed stonework, all with a high level of care and attention.

One part of the process I especially valued was being involved in selecting plant materials, from visiting growers and choosing elements that felt right for the space made it a more personal experience.

Over the years, they’ve remained responsive and reliable whenever I’ve reached out. It’s been a consistently positive working relationship, and I would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a well-executed and thoughtfully designed outdoor space.

I hired Scenic Landscaping as a first time homeowner this past year for my new home in Allendale. Even with a limited budget they far exceeded my expectations. My driveway was expanded to allow two cars to fit side by side which in turn made the house look much larger. The back property was covered in weeds and was cleared out and replanted to also become much more spacious. We have seasonal planters that continue to impress and have become the talk of our neighborhood. All these minor changes ended up making such a drastic difference. I could not be happier with the creativity and talent that this firm provided.

Scenic Landscaping has done an absolutely beautiful job at our Jewish Community Center. Right before the High Holidays, when we were on a pretty tight schedule, Scenic Landscaping was there for us, and generously transformed our center into a welcoming and beautiful space. My wife and I recently completed working with Scenic Landscaping and their related companies, Tapestry Landscaping and Tranquility Pools. This was the third home on which I completed a major project with them, going back to 1985.

For this latest project on a new home, they designed and installed retaining walls, driveway, swimming pool and all landscaping on our entire property.

We had Mitch take a look at our sloping yard before we even bought our home and he convinced us that he could turn it into something both usable and beautiful. I was skeptical but Scenic really delivered. Devin, Mike, Mitch, John and all the many guys who did the actual labor were so easy to work with. They are creative and enthusiastic about what they do and that really shines through in the final result. Essentially a 2 year project (more?) from ideation to completion, it was a tremendous amount of work and I never felt that we were getting anything but their best. A year later, I still feel the same way. I have and will continue to recommend Scenic many times over.
