Tree reviews in Holmdel, New Jersey

Took apart my fence, didnt put it back together fell apart and my dogs got loose.

I needed a dead oak tree removed that was near house and playground. atlantic gave the quote quickly and for best price. they were also ready to go in 2 days. they were significantly less expensive than other tree services in area. And some other services didnt bother to call back. i would definitely use again.

My review was deleted so I'm just here to say again that they removed trees, damaged our property, then ghosted us on the phone calls. This was a few years ago. Assuming they changed management or something because all their reviews on Google were erased, had them come back out for an estimate. The person was rude and dismissive and, since he wasn't even sure they could remove a tree from my property, he threw me my estimate and walked off while I was trying to talk to him about it. So, I'll never use them or recommend them, and ask yourself why the oldest review is 1 year ago when they've been around since 2000.

I have a mix review about this company. Did they did a good job cutting and removing the trees and clean up afterwards? Yes. My issue was that I was not told everything when I got an estimate. I walked around the house with John showing him what I want done. My estimate was for cutting a large tree in front of the house (with stump removal), 1 tree in my backyard (with stump removal), and 4 large trees just behind my backyard fence (no stump removal). Also trimming some of the tree branches from my neighbor's that were growing over my house. He said they will use a crane/bucket to cut the front yard tree. He didn't mention they will use that to cut the trees in the backyard.

My house is surrounded by a chain link fence. I had a concern about the fence and I ask him if he needs to break the fence. He said his guys won't break the fence. I was more concern how they going to cut the trees behind my backyard fence because there's no gate to get back there. He told me they don't need to break the fence and I was like ok. John gave me a reasonable quote, so I accepted it.

When the crew came, I was surprise that the crew leader say they need to remove the front yard fence and cut my cherry blossom tree in my front yard so that their truck can get to the backyard. John didn't mention anything about that. I thought they were going to climb up the trees in my backyard and cut. But the crew leader (also name John) said the price is too low for his guys to do that and that I would need to call the office to get another estimate. So I had to make a decision. Should I send them away or let them break the fence and cut the cherry tree? Since I was planning to replace the chain fence with vinyl fence in few months, I let them go break it and also cut the cherry tree. As for the backyard fence, they didn't need to climb over it or break it. They use their crane to move their guy up and down the trees and they finish the job within 4 hours.

If you plan to use this company or any tree removal company, make sure you ask bunch of questions and most importantly, a walkthrough on how they going to get the job done. If the estimator say he doesn't need to remove or break anything, get that written on the estimate. If there's a certain plants or trees you want to keep, make sure you get that in writing as well. Their prices are reasonable and they respond pretty fast. Just that they to do better explaining how they going to get the job done.

Great crew and great work at a fair price. If you are looking to have your trees removed, the team was professional and quick. We are very happy with the services provided by Atlantic!

We have used Atlantic tree 3 times. Each time, we are amazed by their professional and neatness.

They are fair, responsive and punctual.

I thought I was going to have to clean the yard a lot after having a stump ground, but the Atlantic guys were so tidy!!!

I’ll never use another tree service!

Second time using Atlantic tree and their prices are great! They came and cut a single large branch in no time and then cleaned up. The whole process a half hour. Thank you to your team.

5 STARS all the way! Very professional, prompt, and courteous! They went above and beyond and even took care of some branches I didn't notice hanging over my roof! They cleaned up well, were in and out and left the yard even better than how they found it! Thanks again Theresa, John, and staff! Don't hesitate call NOW!!!!!

Great price and excellent service. They did an outstanding job under difficult circumstances (tree removal in a tight spot that had to be cut and removed manually). They did so much work (trimming, 2 tree removals, etc)for almost half the price of 3 other companies I contacted. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Have used Atlantic twice in the past couple of months. The first time was to take a few trees out that were simply overgrown and the second was due to a down tree from a recent storm. I find Atlantic to be very professional, respectful, and leave a job better than they found it. They are also there in a pinch. Most recent job Kyle was the lead and he did a fantastic job. Highly recommend.

Great customer service - came and gave a quote the next day. Very thorough and drew up a plan which was great especially if your a visual person and like to have things in writing! Incredible prices as well. It was much more affordable than I thought it would be given all the work we needed done (tree removal, stump grinding, and pruning). Highly recommend! They show up on time (10 min early actually and were already set up!!!!).

Want to give a big shout out to Atlantic Tree Service! They did an amazing job cutting a tree on my property today that was very close to my house and I couldn't be happier with their work. If you need any tree services, I highly recommend them.

Called them and received a quote on the same day, accepted the estimate as it was much much lower than all estimates I received. (I called 4/5 other tree service companies that were highly rated but the quote was much higher), the crew were excellent, very organized and methodical. They ensured nothing fell on the roof, some Japanese maples that were near the tree being cut.

They brought in a big crew & heavy machinery and completed the work in approx 1 hour (including clean up)

Thanks Atlantic Tree Service!

Atlantic Tree Experts are fantastic! I called and within a day they were here for an estimate and work was complete a week later. I live on a hill and they had to have a climber come in and do the job. They made a very difficult job look easy! Very professional and reasonable pricing. I Would highly recommend them!

cannot recommend enough. they came out for a free estimate the next day, gave me the best price over other estimates by a lot (without knowing I had other estimates to compete with), and scheduled the job for two days afterwards. they arrived right on time, got to work, and were finished and cleaned up within a half hour. they removed a 40 foot tree of heaven, and my only regret was not doing this sooner!

Very professional & fast. They came and removed trees that were hanging over house. My wife and I were very scared of the damage that would be caused if the tree fell on the house. We called other local companies no one called us back, they came and got the job done

We were infested with lantern flies around the perimeter of our house. When I researched the tree on our property, turned out it was a “tree of heaven” which is actually a weed and very invasive. They excrete sticky sap and have a peanut butter smell that attracts bugs. It is the number one tree that lantern flies love and lay eggs on (as shown in first picture).

I called a tree company immediately. They came to the house and quoted me a ridiculous price for doing a flush cut to this tree and trimming our beautiful maple in the backyard.

I called Atlantic Tree Experts, and John came out to do the estimate on the same items and really gave us a wonderful package with grinding the stumps down on top of it, and it was about $1100 less than the previous guy.

The team got to work as I watched from the window. They were so impressive and fast! Everything was done in about 20-30 minutes. They cleaned up after themselves and even removed a big pile of wood that was in my yard, complimentary.

I highly recommend this company for anyone in Monmouth County that needs tree removal or tree trimming done.

Excellent experience!

I just used them yesterday to remove a tree that was in danger of completely toppling over, which would have damaged my fence, damaged one neighbor's shed, and probably landed on another neighbor's house. Had four estimates. Their price was half what the others quoted. Most likely because they had the large crane required, making the job very quick and easy for them. I was very pleased.

Highly recommend! Had some damage from a recent storm and needed some trees pruned and 1 taken down. I was very happy with there work. The guys were really nice and did such a great job. They were fast and cleaned up everything! Very impressed, If you're in the hazlet/holmdel or surrounding area I highly recommend using them!! Thank you!

A tree landed on my house and they were here to assess the damage first thing the next morning. John was on time and the price was reasonable. They came and took the huge tree away. They left everything spotless. Not a limb or wood chip was left and they had taken the fence down to get in and made sure it was put back perfectly. This isn't the first time I've used them and find they are neat, polite and considerate of your property each time. They leave everything better than when they first come in.

Phenomenal professionalism performed by these guys. They arrived and went right to work. Great job! And cleaned up when they were done! I know who to call for call my future tree work!!!!

I used Atlantic for the second time in 5 years to remove trees from my residential property. I chose them in 2019 to remove 5 large trees after getting estimates from 7 different companies. Their pricing was in the middle and fair, but the estimator that came was so professional and thorough, i called them again. The estimator came within the hour, and work was scheduled the following week.
The crew arrived on time, communicated what they were going to do, were respectful of my property, protected the grass and driveway bricks and pavement, since they had to drive over it with heavy trucks, and cleaned up nicely at the end. The 3 trees I wanted to keep were undamaged, and the crane operator and stump grinder operators were surgically precise while working around fences, the house, and our chicken coop, which they suggested covering with a tarp because the Forman didn’t want to stress the birds. A+ company and personnel.
