Angel is really professional and knowledgeable and friendly. He helped our building to fix the light problems in the hallway and we are going to use him fix our apt lights too. Highly recommended! He is helpful! He will be your good choice !

Angel and his team have done multiple projects at my home including adding a sliding door and stairs. I recently had water damage to my basement ceiling and his team came out right away to repair the ceiling . He is very responsive and stands by his work.

Hired smart solutions for a full renovation at my new house, they were excellent since our first consultation appointment, always on time and they keep you updated every day with pictures and videos, they handled my permit applications, architect and engineer drawings, demolition, framing, electric, plumbing, Hvac drywall, finishes, kitchen design... And much more, I felt confident of Angel managing the project and it was a layed back and enjoy experience. I'm already getting started on a new project and they will be my contractor to go for all my house flipping investments

They use an answering service, so every time I called they asked me bunch of questions. Like what is your zip code to see if you are in the "service area". I left three messages with the answering service over the course of 4 weeks about my project and it was only when I was rude and said what the heck is going on, did I finally get a phone call back from Smart Solutions. This was not to put up a shower rod this was a very large job. When they finally reached out to me they said they were very busy. Clearly they need to hire someone internally to handle call backs. Maybe if you can actually get a hold of them they are very good but I had a hard time just trying to do business with them.

From top to bottom Smart Solutions has the best electrician's for small to big home projects in the Jersey City Metro area. They handled our electricity and internet requests promptly, and they were professional and pleasant throughout the entire project.

We had quoted several companies before choosing Smart Solutions, and we are thrilled with the results!

Inside: Added a new electrical panel. They essentially updated all our old outlets to USB and installed recess lighting in our bedrooms with ceiling fans/dimmers. They installed Ethernet ports throughout the house so we could access wired connections from anywhere. They customized our outlets and moves them to where we desired them to be placed.

Outside: They created a new line for our A/C's and added outlets to our yard so we could use electric outside.

This took planning and customization for what we wanted. Sebastian and the Smart Solutions team/crew worked with us on every detail. They have the best service and their work is guaranteed! I highly recommend them for all your electrical solutions.

Angel was excellent, he did a great job. We are very pleased with the outcome. We had 4 interior lights, two exterior Lights, and 6 outlets installed, and Ethernet cable ran from inside the house to the backyard. I would highly recommend these guys.

AMAZING !!!! We used Angel based on a recommendation from a friend and he was amazing! We live in Hoboken, and it seems like every little thing in the house has some odd problem, so we asked Angel to fix 5 random electric related problems in the house. Angel came within a couple of days of contacting him, was SUPER professional, fixed everything without a question, and gave us an extremely fair rate! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND using this company and will use him for all of our needs in the future!

I can’t say enough great things about these guys. Everything they said they’d do they did it 5+ stars. Besides their great attitude, they completed their job in a timely manner, always showed up on time, available for text/calls before/after their job, even after fully paid, and everything looks amazing!
This was the first property I’ve purchased and done this kind of work; but they put a brand new chandelier mount on a 20Ft+ tall ceiling ran all the wires and minimized the amount of holes they had to cut and patched them all up when finished. They hooked everything up to Lutron voice and control activated switches to pair with my already smart home.
They also changed all my lights to LED recessed lighting, as well as ran wires and installed 4 brand new LED recessed lights in my guest bedroom and did a CLEAN job!
I also had them move an already existing ceiling mount in the dining area to better fit my dining table, as well as install a new socket upstairs so I would have to run an extension cord.

All of this for a MORE than fair price! One company tried to quote me 4x MORE than what these guys offered. They really are a team of hustlers doing quality work and to make an honest buck.

I will definitely be recommending them and utilizing their services going forward.

Smart Solutions provides high-class service for their customers. We made a kitchen with them and the result went beyond our expectations. The process was smooth and transparent, and the communication with Angel was super easy. Highly recommend them for all kind of renovations.

I unfortunately have to give two stars to Angel. I actually appreciated his work ethics, came on time and did the work seemingly professional. I initially had him do electrical wiring work at my house and liked his work. I then hired him to do a bigger work of installing a Leviton electric panel for the house. He did all the installation and the last part was to get it inspected but then he completely disappeared. Has not responded to my calls or messages since then. Its been half a year since and honestly almost forgot about it since the electricity has been working fine (hopefully)... but now I wonder, did he actually get the permit he was supposed to? Why not finish the inspection job? Is it safe or do I now have to look for a new electrician to review his work? I need to ensure my house has electrical work to code that went through proper permits/inspections.

I see a thread of nasty reviews saying Angel is not licensed and responses from Angel or someone from his company retaliating. I have no proof or anything but a message to Angel - why not finish the inspection?...

I gave 2 stars (1 extra star) because I actually did respect your manners and work ethics when you were there compared to many others I've worked with. However, if you or staff of your company is not licensed and have not gone through proper permits, I cannot trust Smart Solutions and cannot recommend your company going forward.

Angel has been our go-to electrician for years. He has always been prompt, responsive, knowledgeable and professional. He comes in with a can-do attitude, cleans up after himself and just gets the job done. On top of that he's always incredibly nice and patient and takes the time to explain the issues to me. Jersey City can be a real mess when you're looking for a good electrician, but we love knowing we can always count on Angel.

Smart Solutions was amazing to work with. Angel helped us through the layout and design on a full bathroom remodel. He listened to our ideas and offered up ideas at the same time. In the end, the bathroom turned out awesome. We are incredibly happy with Smart Solutions and look forward to using them again in the future.

We hired Smart Solutions to fix a botched remodel of our master bathroom by another contractor. Smart Solutions crew was professional, fast and most importantly they did the job right. The finished bathroom looks fantastic and the quality of the work was top notch. Work included installation of switches, light fixtures, additional outlets, toilets, dishwasher, and various electrical and dry-wall repairs. A+ smooth and seamless experience.

It was easy to contact them and schedule an appointment to replace some under-cabinet lights. Angel came to provide an estimate that same day (!) and was very helpful in ensuring the replacement lights and switches I planned on purchasing were compatible with the with the wiring I had. Then we scheduled the appointment based on when I would receive the parts (he could have provided them but I wanted something specific) and he even called that day to let me know when in the 4 hour window he would arrived. The work was done quickly and professionally and they cleaned up afterward. I can't recommend them enough and looking forward to using them again.

Angel and his team added a few lines in my old home (with very minimal damage, which they patched up), made sure all outlets were grounded, and installed my above range microwave. They did a wonderful job and I appreciate the high quality of work. I also appreciated Angel’s flexibility - he was willing to hold off doing a majority of the work until my tenant was comfortable having people come due to Corona. Highly recommend!

Angel and team were really wonderful to work with - we had a leak in our house and the team identified the issue that stemmed from both our and our neighbors property. Unfortunately, we didn't have our neighbors support in making the necessary repairs on their side, so we were only able to move forward with the repairs to our home.

Angels team came and did the repairs and afterwards, while following up, let us know that the team ended up doing the entire repair to both sides to ensure the problem would be fully resolved, all the while keeping to our original contract terms. That speaks a lot to the approach and we're immensely thankful and will look forward to working with this group again!

Professional, on time, responsive local contractor in jersey city, this company goes above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. In jersey city is very difficult to find a good reliable contractor but i hit the jackpot with smart solutions. From small projects like kitchens and bath remodels to complete full guts, design custom homes and new constructions , these guys are awesome!!
