Poor customer service. Even worse "recommended service providers". Unreliable business. Wouldn't work with Sears again. Long version below if anyone cares to read it:
Called Sears to have them repair my refrigerator. Given my request was urgent and time sensitive, they "routed" me to a recommended third party. My experience working with the third party was awful - i called and scheduled an appointment with them between 8:00am and 4:00pm on a Monday only to have no one show up. I called the third-party service provider to inquire if anyone intended on coming to fix the refrigerator and they stated i had never made an appointment! I called Sears to make an appointment with a Sears technician as oppose to a third-party, not only did they want to charge me $120 for consultation fee (15% the price of a new fridge), the earliest they could come was 7 days from now. I didn't care for the prices they were charging - it was the lack of professionalism and poor organizational skills that makes me write this review. I won't work Sears again. -
David was very professional and efficient.
Took the time to answer my questions. -
Extremely happy with the service I received from the technician that repaired my washer. Extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant.

Had a repair done in October. Technician ordered a part that ended up not being needed for the repair. The part was returned and I was supposed to be refunded for the amount it cost. Still waiting to receive the refund. I called and emailed them and response I got back almost 4 weeks later said "Sorry for the delayed response. Currently, your refund is still pending". Horrible service.

My service technician was excellent. Found the source of my snow blower problem immediately. It was a gas flow problem. The service call was a little "pricey" but it was worth it.

The technician was very professional and patient. He helped cleaned up the fridge! My only feedback was the responsiveness of Sears Appliance Repair hotline. You can never get an agent on that phone. It’s always automated machine. I wish there’s a way to choose your appointment TIME.

Technician was excellent but Sears repair took 3 months to fix my stove. Same thing with my dishwasher repair. Took 2 months to be repaired. Seems like they drag out the repairs while receiving $65 a month for the warranty. Trying to get a live rep on the phone is a joke. When you do get a rep, you end up calling at least 4 different numbers to get a person that can assist you.

The technician was very rude at the time of arrival and did not introduce himself as a Sears Tech. Also, he said that it was 4 p.m. And he was coming to see what was the problem with my appliances as it was my fault for him being late for my appointment. Not professional, very rude, and not communicative at all, and you can't get a smile on his face.

To give Malcolm a score of 1000 would not be enough, he is professional, concerned, caring and more than that he "knows his craft" if he does the repair you know it's done right. On this service call I have to say I was deeply upset with Sears Service center, I paid the fee for the maintenance service for my Laundry center for the year when Malcolm diagnosed the problem he put in for the parts that were needed and when I received them he needed 4 pieces for the job they sent 1, so he had to put in another order for the additional parts, the following week I received the parts, and to my disgust, when the prompt stopped displaying that the technician was on his way I called the center which stated I had received the parts, so therefore without contacting me they canceled my repair appointment, my husband and I are upset, they then proceeded to give me another appointment, the 27th of the July, my journey began the beginning of July, on the 27th, these "so called workers" at this subscription center then chose to inform me, not by email, which is how I was getting my info from them, but by text, which for some reason I proceeded to check, that the tech, was overbooked and therefore would not be here until the 30th, trust my anger and disgust was at 100, I called the Subscription center and I went completely "off", the anger simply exploded. But Malcolm was sympathetic and through his encouraging words and his friendly personality and his expert repair service and professionalism I have my laundry done, if any other problems arise with my machine, all I can say send Malcolm, because ",I want it done right and I want it done by someone who truly does put the "paying customer first" "Thanks Malcolm "

The technician was prompt and very thorough and efficient. He asked me to explain the issues I experienced. He took apart the washing machine, told me what he was doing and diagnosed the issue. He educated me on every step of the way; I learned a few things. Problem resolved.

The service technician came on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was polite and efficient.

Microwave not fixed. Technician to order parts. No timeline when it will be fixed. Not sure if it can be fixed

Mr. Jim was awesome very polite and respectful and knowledgeable. Thank Mr. Jim may the lord bless you and your family always 🙏. Sears should be proud to have a person like you in there team.

The repair guy, David, was great. My only complaint is that when I made the appointment I was offered 10% off, but I wasn't able to access the coupon for that so I didn't get the discount.

Need experienced person for Frigidaire air conditioner. He could not repair. Only able to check it. I already checked with your phone tech.
Kindly send air conditioner repair person only.
Still blowing tepid air. Tek did the same diagnosis I did. He looked at filter. Moved directional back and forth. Then said he would be back in 5 minutes. Came back and confessed he didn’t know about air conditioners. He said will send an air conditioner specialist to change some parts. Because he didn’t know enough. He then asked me to sign verifying that he was here. it has been 4 days and I have not heard from Sears yet. I have a heart condition and a new born coming in a few days. Sears if you’re reading this! SHAME ON YOU!
Do the right thing and send an air conditioner repair person asap.
Thank you.
Ps. Your diagnostic person that came did nothing that I had already done. This Frigidaire air conditioner is less then a year old and. Only. Blowing air. Not cold air. Just like warm air. HELP -
He came and quickly found the problem. He suggested replacement of the water heater. Update on second day- It turns out that he never submitted the replacement request on hotline to Sears. We are back to square and he is now our worst experience from Sear service. Sears now sending another technician today to do the same job he must have competed yesterday.
Update on 9/20/2024: This is getting worse. I received email from Sear that my payment will be $1,498.00 I purchased my power vent water hear for $1,325 and paid for installation (includes delivery, haul away) $425, total amount to $1,750. Thereafter they sent me surprising unrealists low estimate . I have submitted by claim based on their email and waiting for the check. I have also contacted the consumer affairs NJ. I request all those who have been deceived to contact me so that we can ask Consumer affairs to bring class action law suit again Sear Service. I am planning to put the case this on all social media -
My service man Malcolm was great. My only issue is for the one part they charged me 136.02 . Come to find out they ordered the part from Amazon and the cost was only 16.99. Sears over charged me 113.03. It's ashame yall are taking advantage of folks that way.

I did not have a problem with the technician. He was courteous and polite. I did have a problem with the fact that I was charged $99 to "diagnose" the problem when I already told them what the problem was. Then, even though I sent the model number of the appliance so that they could have the necessary parts to fix it, they came without the necessary parts and it could not be fixed. Also, the part would have cost me $60, but the labor would have cost approximately $375.00, so almost $450.00 total. I don't think I should have been charged the diagnostic fee if they were not in a position to fix the problem that they said they would fix just because they didn't come prepared.
