7 months later and Lou has still not replaced the Back top toilet Cover his men cracked. Ever week there is a new excuse. How mucher longer do I have to wait Lou?

i hired Lou to replace furnace and condenser last year
he told me he would be on the job but after weeks of broken appointments and excuses he sent some other people to do the job
they only installed the furnace and after literally months of more excuses and lies the summer came around and we had no condenser which meant no a/c
i wound up hiring someone else to finish the job and sueing Lou and Lane Mechanical because i had paid in full
ofcourse Lou never showed up to court

Lane Mechanical serviced my heating and cooling a few weeks ago. I got a few estimates from others but this company stands out from the rest. They go above and beyond expectations across all categories - service, professionalism, you name it. Lane Mechanical will be my go-to company going forward. Thanks guys!

His guys cut up my framing to where the beams needed to be sistered, finished half the sewer line they were installing and then refused to finish the job without more money. We agreed on a price to complete the job as it was more complicated than he thought and then backed out last minute without letting me know ahead of time leaving me to find a replacement plumber over a weekend staying my whole house at least 2 weeks for completion.

Lane Mechanical says that they stand by their work and if you have a problem, they will be there. However, when there is an issue, they claim not to have anyone available. There have been multiple issues, most recently, the owner advised us to contact another company to make emergency repairs since our heater stopped working during a weekend of extreme cold temperatures. He said that he would cover the costs if we could get someone because he was short handed. Since that time, I have submitted the receipt electronically and in the mail. I have also made several attempts to contact him with no response.

DON'T USE LANE MECHANICAL. In good faith I paid in full to fix my furnace / AC and I've been chasing him to complete for 6 months. Multiple no show appts and does not replay to phone / text.

My furnace wasn't working last night when it was 20 degrees outside. I contacted Lane Mechanical and they were available almost immediately. They are honest, professional, competitive in pricing and quick at replacing the parts that were needed. I would strongly recommend giving them a call, you won't be disappointed.

I just moved to the area and was eager to have my dryer hooked up as soon as possible. I needed a gas line connected as well. Lou was extremely busy in the height of summer business but he made the time to come as soon as possible. The next day he followed up to make sure all was well. Very prompt and professional, I will recommend highly.

We have had nothing but problems with the hvac system Lane put in our home. Our new furnace Lane mechanical installed was faulty and had to be replaced, which after numerous calls spanning over months was eventually replaced. Now the new system Lane installed does not work properly and the heat does not get above 62 degrees. We have called the company numerous times for a service call, as per our contract we have 5 years parts and labor on the system. The company has been totally unresponsive and our heat still isn’t working properly. Lane is good to come out and replace a system for thousands of dollars, however, they DO NOT stand by their warranty. Better Business Bureau lists this company as no longer in service, so there is no remedy through BBB.

This past Sunday, our furnace died. Louis came out to check it within a few hours. Unfortunately, we were unable to repair the burnt out motor that day. Instead of repairing, we decided to replace the entire unit and also replace the AC & hot water heater (projects we were planning to do later in the year). Louis outlined all possible options for us and gave us an extremely competitive rate on all three units combined. In addition, he alerted us to special incentives/rebates available through NJNG. His team was at our house before 8am the next day and had the entire job finished by 3pm! I would highly recommend Lane Mechanical.

Lane Mechanical is my heating / cooling expert in NJ. A few years ago, they came on a Sunday to replace my very old AC that failed. After that positive experience I asked them to convert my electric heat to gas heat. The heat bill went down tremendously and the new system also replaced the old water heater with a very efficient tankless waterheater. Louis and his team have been taking care of all the service needs in a cost effective manner. He always provides solutions without trying to sell you new things. I hired Lane Mechanical to put in a new central a/c system. The work went on schedule while Lou was getting his money. There were some things that needed to be corrected along the way but it was fine. When the system was up and running the contract stated that final payment is to be made. But there were many things that needed to be corrected including sheet rock repair, failed inspection, and some other minor items. I made the final payment in good faith trusting that Lou would take care of the items. After many phone calls and emails he finally came back to address the inspection issues and the other minor issues(minus one thing). Unfortunately, after many more phone calls and emails regarding the sheet rock repair he has disappeared. If you hire Lane Mechanical do not give him final payment until inspection is completed and there is 100% satisfaction. Have it all included in the contract prior. He only received 3 stars because his guys were nice, respectful, and skilled. They just seemed to lack direction from Lou at times. Anyway, I was very disappointed with how I was treated after I made final payment.

Update: I have had the system all summer and have been experiencing breathing problems. When they originally installed the system they placed the wrong size filter in the air handler. They came back and promised me that they replaced and fixed it. I just checked and they jammed the old filter in and it fell to the bottom on the handler. They lied to me. So basically I have been breathing in dirty air all summer and now have breathing issues. The doctors I have seen dont know how to diagnose me. Well now they know. Do not hire this company.

I would recommend Lane Mechanical Heating and Cooling to anyone who wants great quality of work. Installers were courteous, neat and careful removing the old heating and air conditioning unit and installing the new units. Louie responded to my phone call immediately and had workers to my house at my convenience within a few days. The arrived at the time scheduled and worked hard throughout the day. Thank you Louie and staff for everything you did for me stress free!!!!
