Oceanic repair was sent to my by GE to evaluate and fix my water softener. This occurred in July, they came out to evaluate on August 5. Dan told me he knew Ge would replace or have him rebuild the unit hut he would be in touch. In September and October when I haven’t heard anything I called and emailed Dan and the woman who had initially scheduled the appointment. All follow up went without ANY response. I finally called GE to see what was going on, we are now 5 months later and I’ve heard NOTHING! GE informed me that didn’t receive anything from Oceanic Repair until 11/30, when I called GE and they followed up with their contracted repair company. GE informed me they would be sending a replacement unit to me but I’d have to find an installer myself because Oceanic Repair had refused. Now, while I cannot speak to the logistics or details that occur between GE and Oceanic Repair, I can speak to customer service. The amount of time that was allowed to pass by in conjunction with the ignored and/or disregarded attempts on my part to get an update are unacceptable. It would have taken five minutes or less for Dan or anyone at Oceanic repair to say, you’ll be needing a replacement but we cannot install it. That is the type of courtesy that should be given to customers you interact with. I would not recommend their service to anyone.
