I'm writing this review to share my experience with Pro Energy Solutions, hoping it will be helpful for others considering their services. While I've tried to be patient and understanding, and given them several opportunities to resolve the issues, I've ultimately been left quite disappointed. This was a significant investment of over $60,000, and unfortunately, it hasn't lived up to expectations.

The installation process, while initially quoted as a one-week project, stretched to three weeks. The work crew often arrived late in the day and sometimes stayed very late into the evening, which was disruptive to our family, especially with our young child. There was also an incident with the removal of our old oil tank where a part was missed, leading to a fuel leak in our basement. I appreciate that they responded quickly to address the leak, but it was a stressful situation that could have been avoided.

Since the installation, one of the thermostats has never functioned correctly. It controls a portion of our system with the air handler in the attic, separate from the mini-splits we have. Instead of diagnosing the problem with the existing system, the company suggested a $2,000 upgrade to the mini-split system, which was already working fine. This felt like an attempt to sell us something unnecessary rather than address the actual issue with the faulty thermostat.

We were also promised a $5,000 rebate, but only received $4,500. I've been trying to follow up on the missing $500 since September 2024.

Communication with the company has also been a challenge. It's often difficult to reach them by phone or email, which makes resolving these issues even more frustrating.

Overall, my experience with Pro Energy Solutions has been less than ideal. The extended installation time, the fuel leak, the ongoing thermostat problem, the rebate discrepancy, and the communication difficulties have all contributed to my disappointment. While I understand that things can happen, the accumulation of these issues has been quite concerning. I hope this feedback is helpful for both the company and potential customers.

Had minisplit systems installed, had no issues, work was done clean, quickly and professionally. consideration was taken for the install locations, and the appearance of the install.
The electricians doing the electrical work, Carlos and David were friendly, efficient, and also considerate, going above and beyond to keep the work clean and hidden when possible. They really did work efficiently and professionally. The installers for this company seem to all be good people who care and are knowledgeable about their work.

Posting this out of sheer desperation…we’ve been working with this company, we were sold a 16k unit last Tuesday. As of now (week later) we have yet to have any air conditioning, and instead we have a random hole drilled in our living room wall (no explanation for this, other than offering cash to repair), and an offer for portable AC Home Depot credit. Our kitchen lights were also out for a day, also with no explanation. It’s been nothing short of a nightmare. When you call to speak with anyone at the main number, they divert blame, no apologies, just attitude. There’s no attempt at wanting to help, just avoid. We’re so regretful at ever getting involved with them. I was told today the unit they installed for us has broken parts (like we should have to suffer for this!!??), and I’d get a call this afternoon with update. Again, predictably, nothing. Wish everyone caution.

UPDATE: Writing again since it seems to be the only way to get any action from this company. Multiple calls are not returned and messages are taken by rude receptionists. How they’re still running a business, I don’t know. We’re waiting on reimbursement for portable ac units we were told to buy while the ac install took over a week…still no word on the hole in our living room wall…and waiting to know what our discount will be given the total disruption, cost, and inconvenience of this experience. The complete lack of any urgency or caring is remarkable.

Edit to respond to business response: Shannon called me claiming he lost my measurements. He explained he was new at the time and may have also over exaggerated the price. He explained he will need to come back to redo the measurements. I explained I lost a lot of trust and I’m not sure if I want to continue. I’ll look for the estimate and we can discuss from there. Shannon came out to my house to do a free Energy Assessment to determine the work that will need to be done to get my attic up to standards while utilizing the NJ rebates for Energy Efficiency. He spent around 3/4 hours at my house doing his testing. He estimated that the job will be around $20,000 to air seal and lay insulation in my attic. Our appointment was almost 5 months ago and have never gotten an official estimate or follow up. I called the company, asking for a status with no returned call. At this point, I am giving a low rating as I feel like I wasted 4 hours of my time with no path forward. If I do get contacted back, I’ll update this review based on the conversation had and identified path forward.

Pro Energy was contacted to fix a combi unit at my house. They responded quickly with professionalism and resolve. They also went above and beyond when it came to pricing. Thank you.

The technician Joe did a great job servicing our 2 zone heater system. Now I’ll be less worried about them operating properly through the winter.

I set up an assessment with Vince. This company was recommended to me by Home Depot. Vince really helped me out by adjusting his hours to come during the weekday when I get off of work by 6:30 PM and he Was very detailed, very professional I felt heard he asked me what my issue was and what I experienced . I was able to express and tell him all the issues I’m having he looked in my attic and quickly realize what the issue was and help me understand next steps to get it fixed and he really went above and beyond to help me with my issue. As someone who has no idea about heating AC insulation anything like that he did a great job In explaining in a way, I could understand what’s going on and provided the documentation that I need To get the items I need fixed , he was really great. I recommend him , definitelygo with Vince specifically for your needs.! He’s a very nice guy and really took care of my house and was careful even attentive to little debris that fell from my attic a very caring person.

After experiencing a series of issues with my old combi boiler setup, I was initially frustrated and uncertain about next steps. The team at Pro Energy Solutions took the time to investigate thoroughly and eventually replaced the entire system with a new Weil-McLain Simplicity combi boiler.

Since the installation, everything has been running smoothly — consistent hot water, reliable heating, and no pressure-related issues. The system has been a huge improvement, and I appreciate the professionalism and responsiveness throughout the process.

What stood out most was their willingness to make things right. It’s clear they value their reputation and care about long-term customer satisfaction. I’m grateful for their follow-through and would gladly recommend them to anyone needing a trusted HVAC partner.

Two visits were needed for the oil furnace tune up and the subsequent repair. Each time, the technician and his assistant explained everything while being competent and courteous.

Did a great job replacing my furnace and installed next day. Only issue was the techs left the work area dirty and office personnel did not communicate with the techs.

TL:DR: Use these guys! They are great!

OK, the full story. Just over 11 years ago our central air system broke. The reason for that early demise of a well-built 30-year-old system was in part to poor installation (our townhouse was built by three (3) drunken monkeys and a flamingo on crack cocaine) - the original coolant lines were run through the concrete patio, without a sleeve, and there were dozens of "90-degree" bends in the lines.

Flash forward to the beginning of May when we figured out that we can actually swing getting the system replaced, so we did what every good homeowner does; we investigated, got quotes, and knew what we wanted and what our budget was.

Four (4) companies came out to visit our humble abode, the first one came highly recommended by a close friend, who I liked, but did not provide a quote until the evening I green-lit Pro Energy Solutions (more one them shortly). The other two (2) I felt uncomfortable with, to the point where I thought his whole pitch seemed sketchy.

We connected with Pro Energy Solutions through Home Depot. Now, I will clearly state that their price was higher than the highly recommended guy by a few hundred bucks (after you factor in everything), but Pro Energy Solutions was the ONLY installer to provide THREE (3) QUOTES! An economical, mid-range, and high-range system, the latter two (2) are backed their for TEN (10) YEARS compared to 5, and their labor for THREE (3) YEARS compared to 1-2 years (for the low-end/competitors quote). Additionally, they were able to get me on the schedule within 5 days, where the other contractor told me it could be a week or two.

In addition, Pro Energy Solutions has a 24 hour service line, but I hope I never have to use it.

Their installers came out early on a Monday, and although there were MINOR (very MINOR) issues with the accessories, everything went amazingly well; now I had them back out 2-days later for the aforementioned minor issues, and their guys found and corrected a few things they felt would be better to just address now, rather than have the chance of an issue in the future.

Now, that 2nd visit was yesterday (June 13. 2018), and I've not run the furnace yet, but they assured me they will address any potential issues should they arise without any fuss come winter; and I trust their word.

VERY HAPPY!! Not only was the work done prior to the heat-wave we're about to get hit with, but the level of customer care and attention to the details, makes me very happy that I paid a few extra bucks for quality!

The technicians were on time, professional and efficient. They came in. Did the job on and finish on time and I can’t say enough about the price.

Professional and prompt. The whole experience was great from the consultation through the install. The guys were all experienced and informative. I highly recommended.

Great service, timely and communicated well. My only complaint is the tech had no change or other method for payment and was forced to give him more money. But other than that no complaints.

Quality oil burner installed. Disposed 40 year old burner. There were some challenges along the way but it was addressed and quickly resolved. Awsome crew.

I had to replace my furnace during some very cold winter days. Pro Energy responded to my call quickly and scheduled an install the next day. The installers did a fast and professional job, they got the new unit in and the heat working within 4 hours. I was impressed!
