I have used Uncle Matty's Tree Service several times throughout the years. Everyone (Matt, the workers, and the office staff) is courteous and efficient. They do great work!

They cut down 4 trees in my backyard and trimmed a very large one on front. These trees were quite a tast, the crew was professional punctual and polite. It was such a pleasant experience I’d use them again and recommend them to anyone in need.

I received a phone call from my neighbor around 11am that "Uncle Matty tree service" wanted to access my yard to cut next door neighbor tree limbs. "Matt Sabato" got on the phone and I explained to him how there is a vehicle in our yard and would rather them reschedule or wait because we want to get the car out first. I mentioned to him that the owner doesnt get there till 3pm and he said HE WOULD WAIT. I left work early around 12:30pm and they WERE THERE IN MY YARD with most of the job done. First off I see it as unprofessionalism because you told me you'd wait till 3 and then you just go our yard because I said I'd be home hours later.
I go outside and ask his workers who's in charge and they said Matt the boss but he's nowhere to be found.

I had read the reviews but i called anyway since a friend, who has used them in the past and higly recommended them. I called for estimate, was told someone would come 1-4 pm, on Thursday April 18th. Was home the entire time, and no one ever showed up, no call.

Matt's team tackled my giant oak removal project. The tree was in a bad spot, and partially attached to a fence. They removed the tree (+ stump grinding) with efficiency and skill, and charged an honest rate to do so. Miraculously, there was no damage to be seen, and they even managed to repair the now-freed fence. If you have a big job, this needs to be your first, and probably only call.

The service was excellent! The owner was cooperative, easy to work with and very fair with the price. The men were fast, efficient, courteous and professional! They removed 2 huge trees at a great price. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone for any tree services!!

Uncle Matty's cut down a HUGE tree for us today and I can't recommend them enough. They were prompt, professional, and left everything cleaner than it was when they got here. I highly recommend them to anyone needing tree work done in North Jersey!

After seeing the website and all the heavy duty equipment I thought my job would be too small. But they were more than willing to come and give me an estimate. They were able to schedule me quickly and it was a fair price which was great. The chipper caused a mess in the street and they cleaned it all up before leaving. Within a couple of weeks I hired them for a 2nd job. They do great work and I would highly recommend them!

Uncle Matty’s Tree Service is great. I’ve used them for 3 major jobs now, and the service was excellent each and every time. The owner, Matt Sabato, has a great crew with the skill, equipment and experience to tackle any size job. The first job I hired them for in the spring of 2018 involved taking down a massive tree that was in front of a multi-story rental building I had purchased. The tree was probably a century old, towered above the roof and the street, and its roots had blown apart the entire underground sewer system for the house. The crew was there all day and did an incredible job. They also took down a 90 foot blue spruce for me and did some extensive tree trimming at other properties as well. They always brings out the leaf blowers and rakes at the end of the job and clean up the work area so everything is nice and neat. I’d highly recommend Uncle Matty’s to anyone in need of a top notch arborist!

Uncle Matty's was recommended to me by someone in town and I am so glad I called. They came right out and got to me right away despite the amount of work they must have had. My tree was taken down swiftly and I am so happy with the work. Before they were even done I was recommending uncle Matty's to anyone with a tree. I have a few more trees that will be coming town over the next year or two and I will be using them again!

Super happy with Uncle Marty’s. I got an estimate within hours of speaking with Matt. I wouldn’t expect this as typical, but he had an opening later that day and we arranged for the crew to come. The crew was professional, friendly, went above expectations, and did a great job cleaning up after. We’ll use their service again in the future for sure.

Hands down one of the best arborist companies around. I cannot express how grateful I am for Matt and his crew. They not only helped us in an absolute emergency situation, they did it for Almost half of the cost of an uninsured competitor, while being fully insured. Matt and his crew are incredibly knowledgeable in their trade and took proactive measures to be absolutely as safe as possible throughout all their work. They also managed to be incredibly efficient and finished the entirety of the contracted job WELL ahead of schedule. They went above and beyond with their service and I will definitely be contacting them in the future if I ever need any more tree work.

This is my second time using this business, and this is the only tree service I would utilize in the future. Matt responds quickly to a call for service, he gives a fair estimate and it is amazing to me how efficiently and even respectfully he completes the work. He just makes you feel that you KNOW that you can trust him. I would HIGHLY recommend "Uncle Matty" if you are in need for this service!

Excellent service. I needed help removing dead branches and trimming a large tree in my neighbors yard that hung into my yard. I had received some quotes from a few other companies, but had struggled to get through to my neighbor to explain the situation and gain full access. I was referred to Matt for a second opinion by my landscaper. Matt's communication was A+ from the off. He visited our house the next day, made some suggestions, beat the quotes I had, and even knocked on my neighbors door for me and got approval to enter. I was scheduled in for the next day. His crew were excellent and did a job beyond my expectations. Meanwhile Matt continued the constant communication. It felt great to deal with a company who's owner was so hands on and would go the extra mile to ensure his customers felt in safe hands. I wish he was my uncle! :-) Highly recommend.

I had a tree in a difficult location that made removal a bit complicated. After calling 3 different companies Uncle Matty's seems like the only serious company capable of doing the job. They showed up as promised and did a great job removing a huge tree located in the back of a building. Highly recommend. Great job.

Uncle Matty thank you! I had 2 dead trees located in my backyard that needed to be removed. Others could not do this job because of the difficult location. Uncle Matty came by and explained in detail on how he was going to remove the trees safely. Gave me estimate (fair price) for the job.

I called Uncle Matty’s tree service and Matt came the same day to inspect my situation. I had a huge red oak stump that was lodged in a tight space in the back of my garage. Why would anyone plant a tree there is a question I will never know. No one would take this job because of the space it was in. Matt’s guys came by and somehow grinned the stump all the way down to the root and it was gone within hours. They were professional and courteous. And also cleaned up afterwards.
