Reviews of local pros in Nutley, New Jersey

There was a discrepancy on the billing name because THEY have spelled my name wrong that doesn't match on the contract. Unwilling to correct a minor problem and told me to look somewhere else. Management is rude and unwilling to problem solve. Look somewhere else. Waste of time and very unprofessional.

By far the best contracting now removal we have ever had - did an amazing job with the removal and salting on our commercial property -further - a -low accidentally caused some fence damage and the owner immediately responded and had a crew come out and fix it - top notch service and i appreciate their professionalism

There work ethics are top notch. Have used them for landscape construction and the job was done professionally and with great detail.
I also use them for grass cutting maintenance and each week they do a great job.
I highly recommend them for all your landscaping needs

Kevin has been my landscaper for more than a decade. He has done beautiful masonry work, fencing, sod and plantings at my home. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

McMillan Landscapers are professional and prompt. They have a convenient payment model and Kevin and Dawn are always available to answer any questions you may have. I recommend them with no hesitation.

Absolutely fantastic to work with. We had a big issue with flooding. In one day they did a ton of work, and since then, no issues. I highly recommend them.

This company will come at 730 in the morning on the weekend and start making noise for no reason. They will come and “cut” the grass at my neighbors house for hours but I’m reality it’s just them making all this noise with leaf blowers. Understandable that this is a business and this is how they make their money. But it’s inconsiderate to the community to be cutting your lawn on a weekly at 8 am, especially on the weekend or a holiday like today.

McMillan Landscaping is very professional and quick to respond to any questions I might have. Kevin and his team do excellent work. His office staff is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend using him.

We’ve used McMillian Landscaping to build a beautiful new patio, lay new sidewalks and they do all our landscaping work. Everyone is great to deal with - from the office staff to the landscaping teams. I HIGHLY recommend them without hesitation.

Kevin & Maureen were a pleasure to work with. Maureen is organized and responsive. This makes what can be a stressful process so much easier. Kevin and his team did a great job. They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it, and the results exceeded my expectations. I wish I could say that more often.

The employees here abandon their vehicle in a traffic lane on a major road to get coffee at Dunkin.

McMillan landscaping is a great company with a professional team ran by Kevin. They’re always responsive and helpful not to mention helpful willing to go the extra mile. I’ve been using this company for 10 years and very happy with their services.

I can't say enough good things about Kevin and McMillan Landscaping! I began using him when he first started his business for my home and commercial property. They have exceptional service! My lawns and plantings always look spectacular. The also handle my snow removal. As a commercial property owner, I wanted to make sure that not only my property looks good but during the cold, snowy winter months that everything is safe. I never worry with McMillan, my snow is removed promptly and are always attentive to ice. They have even replaced concrete sidewalks for me. . They are the best in the business!

My back yard had a lot of damage done by the remnants of Hurricane Ida on Sept. 1. I called McMillan Landscaping and Kevin promptly came out to take a look and come up with a plan. He assured me that he could get all the debris out and reseed the damaged part of the yard. His crew came and did just that...and they did it in an efficient and friendly manner. Highly recommended!!

My husband and I have used Kevin and his company since the very beginning of his business many years ago. They have done consistently fabulous work, are extremely responsive and have given us suggestions to do things that we would have never known to do. We just sold our home in Montclair and we have the nicest lawn on the block! The buyers of our home commented on how beautiful the lawn looked. We can't recommend this organization any more highly.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with McMillan Landscape Contractors to build a beautiful concrete paver patio in our backyard and new front yard walkways and porch, and we could not be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional, earning them a well-deserved five-star review.
The team at McMillan Landscape Contractors was highly professional, communicative, and dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of the project was executed to perfection. From the initial consultation with Kevin to the final installation, Kevin and his guys provided valuable insights and recommendations that helped bring our vision to life.
Their expertise in the field was evident from the outset, as they meticulously planned and prepared the site, ensuring a seamless and efficient installation process. Their attention to detail was also evident in the quality of the workmanship, as every paver was precisely placed and leveled, resulting in a flawless finish that exceeded our expectations.
Overall, we are thrilled with the results and would highly recommend McMillan Landscape Contractors to anyone in need of outdoor hardscaping services. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart from the rest.

We found McMillan through a web search when looking to complete a patio renovation project that involved taking out our two old, uneven, crumbling 1950s concrete slabs and old stairs, and replacing them with Cambridge pavers/caps. Their bid was competitive – but NOT questionably so (i.e., so low that you have to wonder why it’s so cheap) and their customer service was excellent and genuine.

From start to finish, our experience was nothing but pleasant and stress-free. Kevin answered every question we had without making it seem like a bother, and he was very respectful of our schedules and property. The whole team is efficient, professional, and friendly (I really wish I could remember everyone's names, but Victor and Martin come to mind as two of the employees, as well as Tom). One thing I always look for in contractors is not just how they treat their customers, but how they treat the people working for them. The interactions between Kevin and his guys were very collaborative and mutually respectful. They have fun with each other and it seems to be a great working relationship.

Not only did the job turn out beautifully, but it was started and completed even sooner than we anticipated. That’s a huge deal, because as we all know, contractors are often known for having projects drag on and on once they start. A+ all around; would highly recommend. Thank you so much, McMillan!

Very professional and reasonable. Came on time for estimate and scheduled work very quickly. Yard has transformed from an overgrown forest to a nice flat space and everything was left clean. Front of house looks so much better too. Workers were very courteous and worked extremely hard and neatly. Will definitely use again! Kevin is a great guy to work with too!

Kevin, Maureen and the team are great. Always super responsive via email which we loved! Our backyard privacy bushes looks great! They also did a spring clean up for us which was very helpful. They even went above and beyond by adding some seed and hay to some bald patches in the grass near our new landscaping. Would absolutely recommend to anyone for their reliability alone. We plan on using their services in the future.

We had Kevin and his team come out and take care of two jobs at our house. The first was replacing a very dated front walkway that was cracking. The second was installing a beautiful new patio for us in the backyard. Kevin came out personally, quoted out the job and Dawn was able to schedule us quickly. Kevin listens to what you need, gives options and suggestions.

His team were very professional, extremely prompt and efficient. The work was done exactly to schedule. He has a good eye for landscape and is a perfectionist, but does not force his style on you.

We could not be happier with the work and would recommend him to anyone looking for landscape work.

Kevin was a joy to work with. From permitting through completion. Kept in constant touch with us during the month he did our stone wall, patio, stairs job. Accessible, friendly, responsible, thorough, detail-oriented, etc. the work is beautiful and has completely changed the look of our property for the better. Would highly recommend.
