Swimming Pool Contractor reviews in Oradell, New Jersey

We had an amazing experience working with SJ Pools to design our dream backyard! From start to finish, their team was professional, creative, and incredibly easy to work with. They helped bring our vision to life with a beautiful pool and outdoor kitchen that completely transformed our space.

Welington is a true visionary and will transform your backyard—his ideas, attention to detail, and guidance made the entire process exciting and seamless.

The finished result exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We highly recommend SJ Pools to anyone looking to create a stunning backyard retreat. Now all we need is a palm tree!

Thanks for everything

Asked a very simple question if they service a particular area... they never answered me, a simple yes or no would have been nice.

These guys are the best. They did my pool, driveway and landscaping! Wellington is the Best!!!!!

SJ Pool and landscaping designed and build my swimming pool and entire back yard.
I'm very pleased with the result and the service. I Highly recommend them.

The best in the business. SJ Pools is the benchmark when I comes to unique, creative and functional designs. I highly recommend!

SJ is the best of the best. Detail oriented; truly have a knowledge of all the nuances of pool design and are honest and upfront people. Highly recommended!

We are extremely happy with the excellent quality of Wellington’s work along with his high levels of service and responsiveness. I recommend SJ Pools and Landscaping without hesitation.

I have never left a negative google review. We hired Wellington to do our paver patio in good faith. When he completed the project and we paid him, we noted that the width of the landing was only slightly wider than our door that swings out to get into the house. Therefore, you have to step back, open the door completely and then go around in order to get inside. Both our elder parents and our dogs consistently almost fall off the side. He came back to assess the situation and said he would make the landing wider for $500. That was one year ago, nine emails, three conversations with three different receptionists who say Wellington will call us back, and one unreturned call by my husband later. It is beyond disappointing and truly just terrible customer service. If Wellington truly stood by his work and cared about his customers satisfaction, he would have had the respect to call us back and stand by his word. He didn’t.

Welington and his team are fantastic. From the design to implementation SJ pools did a superb job. Creative, professional, and meticulous. I also liked that SJ took charge of the whole job including the pool, hardscape, lighting and landscaping so that we didn’t have to hire out separate contractors for each part of the job. Welington is extremely accessible as well for even the smallest of questions. It was also fun to stay updated with his posts of our job as well as his other jobs on Instagram. Would recommend SJ pools without reservation.

Welington and his team have been such a blessing to our family. We started a full yard renovation with a pool, 2 patios, pergola, landscaping and fireplace and ended with all of that and more. At 3+ years later I am still not only happy with the project but know that I can call Welington a trusted professional that continues to show up for us if we ever need anything. He has gone above and beyond for us since day one. The joy the renovation has brought our family is invaluable…as he always says “It’s not just a pool. It’s a lifestyle.” Our children spend hours each day in our pool and it’s everything we could have asked for.

I've hired SJ Pools and Landscaping several times for a variety of projects including a total backyard renovation and we couldn't be happier. The quality of their work is second to none and even more impressive is the level of integrity and honesty in which they conduct their business. I've recommended SJ Pools and Landscaping to several friends and they all couldn't be happier. It's so refreshing to see there is a company like SJ Pools and Landscaping out there that genuinely cares about ensuring their customers happiness. I am a customer for life.

We initially met with Wellington interested in a pool, he gave us a "YARD". He had a vision after seeing our canvas of a backyard which together we put a design and plan in place. As the project began Wellington would make visits and would spend time with us and the effort put in to ensure that any modifications to optimize the layout would be discussed in details with us. The quality of work is phenomenal, the vision is on point and the transformation is unreal. The crew, to name a few from Joe, Michael, Franklin, Tony, Mike, and Catie to name a few were upmost professional, polite, and put in such an effort day in day out. We are grateful to be part of the SJ Family, the slogan "It's not just a pool, It's a Lifestyle" is felt because you are not just a customer you count deeper than that, its not just a pool in the ground its the big picture of life and the joy you will enjoy every season moving forward!

“Your team was fantastic! They completely disassembled and repaired everything with care. I was especially impressed that they took a photo of how the furniture was arranged and set it back exactly the same before leaving. A true SJ experience—thank you, you guys rock!”

We had an amazing experience with SJ Pools! They transformed our backyard into a beautiful oasis with a stunning pool, outdoor kitchen, putting green and thoughtfully designed landscaping. The quality of their work truly exceeded our expectations.

What really stood out was their responsiveness and dedication, especially over Memorial Day weekend. When we needed urgent help to reconnect the pool technology after a brief power outage, they were quick to respond and provided immediate support—even during the holiday. That kind of commitment is rare and incredibly appreciated. I’ll also note that the owner, Welington, is very hands on. He takes great pride in his work and is always on site visiting the property. Same applies with Michael on his team who is very quick to respond. When you become a SJ Pools customer, you become family and part of Welington’s broader network.

If you’re looking for a pool company that combines great design, expert craftsmanship, and reliable service, SJ Pools is the one to call. It’s no wonder that they already have built some of the most beautiful pools in the Bergen County area. Don’t forget the seasonal palm trees that Welington ships from South Beach, Miami - it’s one of his signatures!

Bottom line - you get what you pay for with SJ Pools and it’s worth the premium when you get best-in-class quality work and service. I can’t recommend SJ Pools enough

SJ Pools and Landscaping should be your first choice when selecting a pool or landscaping. SJ Pools built our pool in 2021. Every day we are out there, it feels like paradise.

The communication was great. We signed off on the original estimate and paid in tranches as stages of development were completed.

Even with the post COVID challenges, our pool was completed on time and within our budget. The team at SJ Pools were friendly and efficient. We always felt confident that there were the best people doing our build.

Probably the best part has been the service since our pool was completed. We can always count on SJ Pools to be there if any maintenance is required. In a world where service seems to be a lost art, SJ Pools remains a shining star.

If you are looking for a luxury pool or landscaping, look no further than SJ Pools. You will definitely be happy with your choice.
