Reviews of local pros in Plainfield, New Jersey

From start to finish a professional job all around. We hand intense water issues right around the December holidays - but that didn’t stop Ed and his crew from coming out day after day to get the job done - and done right! It can be hard to have someone come in and do massive work, but Ed and his guys put us at ease and treated us right. And - we’ve used them for tree removal as well in years past - and they are like ninja’s when it comes to getting in and out with minimal footprint and a job well done for a fair price. Couldn’t recommend Sage Landscape Contractors and Tree Experts more highly!

I hired Sage Landscaping for a drainage and landscaping project. This included improving above-ground drainage, replacing all underground drainage pipes, installing new French drains and catch basins/collection boxes, all connected to the sewer system. Sage removed a large amount of river rock in our front yard, removed trees and stumps, planted a new front lawn and designed/planted new landscaping around our house. Ed, Marcus, and the various specialized crews were knowledgeable, professional, and worked well with the irrigation system sub-contractor.

It was an enjoyable experience, and I found Sage to be more professional than other landscapers. I highly recommend Sage and look forward to collaborating with them again.

Thank you to Ed for freely sharing his knowledge and expertise on several related topics.

Sage recently completed an extensive landscaping project at my home in Berkeley Heights. I couldn’t be happier. When Ed first came out to look at the job, he gave us some great ideas based on his 40 years in the business that we quickly implemented. His quote to us was thorough and fair, and spelled out all the work Sage was going to do. His crew was very professional, and always kept up apprised of what they would be doing. As their customer, I always felt they were putting us first. I highly recommend Sage for any home landscaping projects!

Ed Sage and Sage Landscape have been our #1 go to landscaping contractors for nearly 30 years. We worked with Ed, Marcus, Lou and their crews on two different residential properties in Union County. They provided all hard scape infrastructures (retaining walls, intricate drainage systems, patios, walkways, pool surround, waterfall etc), our tree maintenance and our plant materials. We’ve been in our current home more than 20 years and all of the work completed by Sage has lasted and matured beautifully. The crews are very responsive and many of them have been working on our property for multiple years. Sage also assisted with emergency basement flooding, in a time of need. We would highly recommend them.

Excellent service! I lucked up finding this company during the winter when we experienced heavy snow. Always professional and responsive. Highly recommend!

Excellent work, on time, great communication. Definitely recommended company. Had them install a 5ft gate and fence. Very satisfied with the job.

Saul provided amazing service from start to finish. I called for a quote and he came out the very next day. We agreed on a price to remove all weeds, add top soil and re seed the front and backyard. He had his team come out and all work was completed in 2 days as agreed.Complete professional and great service. 100% Recommend!!!!!

Saul and his team were hired to create a 12x14 brick patio and lay mulch/plants in the front of my house. They did and outstanding job and are very hard workers. They completed the project within two days. Saul also worked within my budget and has some of the best pricing around for the quality of work that they do. Will be calling him and his team for all my landscaping and hardscaping needs.

Saul and his team are fantastic and I would recommend them for whatever job you have. He’s a very honest and straightforward person and quite frankly that isn’t something you can say for a lot of folks in trades. The backyard doesn’t look like much yet, but I’m confident it’ll grow in perfectly

I highly recommend Saul and his team! They recently transformed my side yard by clearing out old growth and dead trees, then installing beautiful new stone beds and edging. The quality of the work is outstanding, and the 'after' results speak for themselves. Saul is honest, hardworking, and a pleasure to work with. If you want a reliable team that delivers high-quality results, look no further!

We are beyond happy with the massive job that Saúl and his team completed on our lawn. They went above and beyond with our project and stayed in constant communication with us throughout the process. We couldn’t be happier with the results and they made our vision come to life!

Saul was awesome. He did a great job tearing out old messy weeds and replanting my beds. He was a good communicator and highly professional. I'm looking forward to working with him again in the future.

Saul came to give me an estimate. Best estimate by far. Work was done and once sod grew in it left my yard looking amazing. Great work. Many of my neighbors requested the information of who did my lawn.
