I have been a satisfied customer for almost a decade. Their staff is professional, responsive and friendly. If there is a problem, there is an immediate response and resolution.

We have had The Pool Company service our pool for over 12 years. The management is great, especially Queenie & the pool technicians are very reliable & personal.

The flow of the store is terrible. You literally have to navigate customers, employees and merchandise with no apparent structure. Yet somehow there's an air of "you should know what the structure is"! The way the store is merchandised is illogical with chemicals and accessories randomly plotted throughout the store. There doesn't seem to be prices on anything so it's impossible to self shop. They have everything you need and probably more but god help you if you can figure it out on your own.

Thank you WES for saving our weekend! Wes is very knowledeable in the pool equipement. I called the pool company close to their closing time and they promised me they will have someone there first thing in the morning and they stuck to their word!!

Great place! All of the employees including those on service, the retail floor, and in the office are extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely recommend doing business with the Pool Company!

Poor customer service/The lady I spoke with was extremely rude

I have been using the pool company for some years now. Everyone in the office and all the pool techs are just awesome. They are always there for you no matter what. I couldn't be happier with them!

Jake and West were here today in 100 degree heat in my backyard. They emptied the skimmer with two dead chipmonks with no hesitation and cleaned everything up! The pool water is shinning and moving all over! Great job guys, Maria Workman

Best in ground liner replacement service in Bergen county

Not sure what sure what changed here, but this place is permanently off my list and I share my frustration with anybody who has a pool. I have also heard from another former customer that an ownership change occurred that lead to service declines. I have found their service desk and technicians to be unprofessional, accusatory and "forgetful". We get 3 to 4 months per year with our pool, I'm not spending it trying to deal with these guys.

The retail customer service and home pool service people here are amazing. I’m a new inground pool owner and they have helped me immensely. They could’ve tried to sell me equipment I didn’t need, but instead cleaned my current filter and instructed me on the proper care for my pool. I can’t say enough good things about these people!! Very happy I found them!!!

We would have liked a little more heads up that the guys were coming over to close the pool.

First time owner of pool. Came to store with a lot of questions. The manager was fantastic. She answered all my questions and told me about the free water testing they do. So glad to have this company nearby to rely on keeping my pool clean. - Gary

After using the pool company to open my pool, cleaning it twice, doing some repairs and spending over a thousand dollars, I now needed a new pump.

I spoke with one of the ladies to get a quote to replace our Hayward pump, we checked the pricing to be sure it was a fair price and decided to go ahead and get it replaced.

We were told one price and when we got our bill, it was a higher price. I called to discuss the discrepancy with them and were told the price quoted was for a pump we hadn't even heard of and the Hayward was more expensive.

Bottom line is they didn't stand behind their original quote to us and lost a customer for $50. A little honest goes a long way but not here. I suggest highly if you do business, be sure to check your bill and the fine print.

I have been having my pool serviced with the Pool Company for 20 years. They handle everything from opening to closing to bi-weekly cleanings. Pool equipment only has a certain useful life so over the years I have had them repair, and replace when necessary, pumps, hoses, the Polaris, clogged lines,....

They always do a solid job and you know the cost up front. It is a family owned business that have many long time employees who I know by first name. If I have an emergency pool issue ( rare, but has happened), they always find a way to get me onto their schedule so that my family is back swimming quickly. Many times, it is the owner himself doing the more significant work.

They also have a great retail shop for pool rafts and toys as well as a parts department for do-it-yourselfers (I am not one).

If you live in or near River Vale, I highly recommend The Pool Company.

I used the Pool Company to open, maintain and close our pool here at Rio Vista Greens in Northvale and they did an excellent job. Their staff is great to work with especially Kerry and Jack and during their chemical sales their prices can not be beat. We will definitely use them again and again

This is not only one of the best businesses in Bergen County, but run by some of the finest people you will ever meet. This is family-owned. Krista and Jim don't simply run a business, but care deeply about their customers. My husband and I are customers for over 24 years. This year, however, was no ordinary year for us, as we experienced quite a number of issues with our pool. These issues were not easily detected. And it took someone who is well-versed and resourceful in diagnosing it properly. Jim was both diligent and tenacious in scoping out the various issues that were occurring. This is not just any Pool Company, folks. This is THE pool company. Bergen County, Rockland County, etc....This is a business you can trust. L. Calabria

If I could I would leave a negative review.
I'm new pool owner and turned to the pool company to open, clean the pool and explain to me ho to keep it clean and maintained. At first they seemed professional and very customer originated, had me replace the heather, pump and I order the full cleaning and preparation services. Paid over $4,000 (!). They everything, I'll give them that BUT a week after they left everything stopped working:
The heater stopped heating, the pump doesn't work at full capability and the pool was green, very green. For 2 weeks I asked them again and again to come and take a look, to help me understand what is wrong. They refused, saying they did not thing wrong and that it is probably my fault.
Bottom line: they were ok as long as I paid for everything they told me to replace - which I now doubt I even had to replace them at the first place. They do not provide the service they claim to provide. I would not recommend working with them .
