To put things in perspective, we had a free inspection come with a house we offered on due to a deal that fell through. We felt it was too vague so called the Roots in and the difference was night and day, not only are they quick and efficient, but they don’t dismiss ANYTHING from a report and know how to put the buyer in the best position possible. I had a very pleasurable experience with Roots Home Inspection. The inspectors were very personable and informative throughout the inspection process. Most importantly, they were able to find every flaw in the income property, I was in the process of buying. HORRIBLE experience, the inspection felt rushed from the moment we arrived at the house, water issues is the most important thing you want your home inspector to make you aware of. They told us the house had a french drain when it in fact did NOT. We move in only to find this out and learn there is seepage coming through the block in the basement. It cost us 20k to have an actual french drain put in. Roots never took the time to explain that the house had a perimeter drain not a true french drain which is a signficant difference. When we contacted them about this they washed their hands of it and became argumentative with me. Terrible customer service, expect them to point the finger at you for not knowing what theyre supposed to tell you if there's ever a post-closing issue.

Roots was very easy to work with and extremely helpful in the inspection process. They were available on short notice and nothing but professional. Bill Jr. walked us through each set of the inspection and pointed out potential issues and recommendations. The report was thorough and easy to understand. Even after receiving the report, Roots was very helpful in explaining some questions and offering us an honest recommendation for next steps. Would definitely recommend using Roots for your home inspection.
