Davidson Heating & Cooling

I've had a service contract with these guys for a few years now, and my parents had a service contract with them for many years prior. They are consistently superb: friendly, efficient, don't try to oversell, and do a good job.

The couple of times my parents' system or mine needed repairs done, they were fairly priced, handled quickly, and I haven't needed the same thing repaired multiple times.

In the beginning, we had a great experience with Davidson. The installers were great and the job was (almost) done well. The team even took the extra time to work around our complicated attic configuration and made sure that we knew how to use the equipment.

Unfortunately, after the install, it seems that we are no longer valued as customers. The only part missing was a custom return vent cover, which still needs to be specially ordered. We were told that it would take a few weeks to come in, but it has now been over 4 months and we still don’t have the cover installed. We have no problem waiting for the right part to come in, but there has been virtually NO communication from Davidson unless we call them. Even then, we usually are told we will get an update or follow up call and they never follow through. And here is the kicker: They have ordered and tried to install the new part FOUR TIMES and each time it’s “the wrong measurement”. I understand that they are not making this part, but at the very least they could have contacted us each time the part arrived instead of waiting for us to reach out and wasting weeks of time. During the most recent call to them, we discovered they finally got the permits in, but who knows how long they’ve been holding them for. We have also asked them to come and look one of the pipes and they never actually came or reached out about it again.

I really wanted to give Davidson a great review, but with every interaction they have shown that they don’t respect us as customers and lack professional communication skills. There are so many things Davidson truly does well, but they have dropped the ball with us.

On the coldest day of the year our furnace stopped working. Joe from Davidson HVAC found the problem quickly and heat restored instantly. The cost was a regular service under$129. Great service, prompt and very reasonable. Can’t beat that. Oh and BtW, this was my second service from Davidson HVAC. Thank you guys for a terrific experience.
