I have used Garden State for irrigation for decades. Just started on Christmas lighting. They are really good. The crew was efficient and professional . Light years ahead of my previous provider. So happy I made the switch.

I didn't get the name of the service technician who took care of the sprinkler turn on last week, but he was excellent! Really took pride in his work and made sure things were done very well. He went out of his way while doing the repairs to take care of the lawn. I was very impressed.

Very professional. They send emails as well as texts with up to date details on service appointments and tell you the name of the tech who will be doing the service call. Very pleased with their service. I have used them for several years now.

I called Garden State Irrigation in April of 2023. Joel P. is awesome to deal with. He was pleasant and professional and so was the install team. I had a water issue that came up after the install. I called Joel and even though the water issue had nothing to do with the install he helped me find the issue and fixed it.

I used them for winterizing the sprinklers. Oscar showed up early, that worked just fine for me and did the job very quickly. Will use them again without a doubt.

Garden State did a beautiful job shutting down my irrigation system for the season. The technicians name is Ruben Valle. Couldn't be more courteous or professional. I've had the system a long time and this young man showed me a couple tricks I wasn't aware of. I couldn't be happier with the service and you guys should take care of this fellow. It's hard to find good employees like him.

Ruben Valle and his team were great. They worked with my landscape architect and installed the entire sprinkler system and set all the timers up. They were on time, did great work and were very professional. Highly recommended!

The service side is actually pretty good. The accounting side is a disaster. I have had a 2 year billing issue. I have called and emailed at least 10-20 times over a 2 year period and never once have received a return phone call. NOT ONCE over 2 years. It’s a shame their billing department ruins the reputation of a decent serviced company. Have had to cut ties.

The technician Ruben Valle and his helper were friendly and professional and certainly efficient and blowing out the sprinklers at my house. The company is also very professional and when so far as sending an email to open up a map to let me know where the technician was and when he would arrive. Amazing service thank you

We've used Garden State Irrigation and Lighting for over 15 years, and wouldn't use anyone else for our irrigation and lighting needs. Mark and his team are professional and friendly. Rescheduling an appointment to better fit my schedule is never a problem. We also use them for our holiday lights. They set up, take down, then store the lights neatly in bins. I highly recommend GSI!

The hands on service and design is BEYOND amazing. I was able to have the owner personally come and discuss exactly what my landscape needed. Each time I had a question, before, during, and even AFTER the installation, I was able to speak with someone in the office who addressed my concerns.

I can be a little "worried" when it comes to making a big expense decision like this but the quality and care I received from the entire company as a whole made me feel confident in my decision. Over the years you deal with many companies that put you through the ringer and disappear. Not with this company. They've been around (I am a nerd and did my research on all local Bergen County companies) for years and it shows in their work.

Where else can you send a panicked email at 9pm at night and get an answer before the morning??? My sprinkler head near the street must've been hit by a landscaper and was gushing all over. Being a new sprinkler system owner, I didn't have a clue what to do!! I knew they were closed so I went on their website, clicked on the chat now, and it sent the office an email. By the next afternoon, someone was at my house and the office was able to walk me through shutting the system off completely so that it would not run again.

My irrigation system is now 3 years old and it's running perfectly! Even after a backyard redo, the tech, Alex, at my turn on, was sure to shut off the back section so it would not water the sitting area.

After taking a look at the lighting work, I may even consider some outdoor lighting as well!!!

As a property owner I have dealt with multiple vendors and service providers over the years. The professionalism that was displayed by Garden State Irrigation was abysmal in process and expertise. Not only did they submit a bill for work, but they requested that it be paid immediately even though the new sprinkler system they installed two years prior had already failed to operate.

I noticed one day that the zones were not operating normally so I called Garden State Irrigation back because they were the ones who originally installed the system. The service tech arrived and diagnosed the situation and stated he identified a part that needed to be replaced which he did replace. he told me two zones were stuck open and did not have the time to fix it. The company told me I had to pay them for what they have done so far while the system was still out of commission.

I told them i have no problem paying my bills when jobs are complete. They told me it was policy and would not come back to complete the job unless I paid 350 dollars. I called a different company and turned out my zones were fine after testing them individually. Turned out the whole clock was no good. I am very disappointing in this company considering I used them for the install and payed them outright as soon as the job was complete.

It was a pleasure to meet Joel, who was highly recommended by another company as the best to take care of lights and irrigation systems for our landscaping renovation. The app to schedule appointments, reminders and follow ups helps a lot. Joel is very professional and punctual, suggested a few ideas and explained all scope of the work that we need. We really look forward to using Joel’s service.

I am very happy with the service I received. Ruben was very knowledgeable and more importantly, very patient when he answered my questions and help me set up the app.

I had my sprinklers turned on in May. There are sprinkler heads that are not working and areas of my lawn that are dying because the sprinklers were not properly aligned to cover all areas of my property. I noticed the issue recently and asked for a person to come out and review. In order to book the appointment I would have to pay a $150 service charge. I found this to be a bit unreasonable since I've been a customer for a few years and I feel the sprinklers were not properly tested when I got them turned on in May.

Great service. Well organized and fully equipped service van. They keep you aware of all appointments and complications. William H. was amazing and very well familiar with our system. I would highly recommend Garden State Irrigation!!

Garden State has always done a great job since installing our irrigation system and maintaining it. Today I met with Joel to get an estimate for outdoor lighting and I couldn't be more pleased. Professional and friendly he did a great job explaining the package I was interested in as well as giving me great guidance on other options which will perfectly solve our lighting needs.

William Henneke was our technician today to turn off our system for the winter. He was very pleasant and took the time to explain everything that he had done. It was a positive experience. Thanks for the great service.

Erwing was very professional and arrived within the original time frame scheduled to do a fall water shut off . he arrived much earlier and left as I was in a meeting and didn’t expect him. I was also told by the staff that they tried to call me but the number “was disconnected “. They had kept an old landline # and didn’t update it to the number that I called to schedule the appointment. I will still continue to use Garden State
