General Contractor reviews in Albuquerque, New Mexico

I went to a local landscape supplier today inquiring about 3/4" poly tubing. The sales guy said they sell 100' rolls, I only needed 5'. An upstanding gentleman overheard our conversation and said he had at least a 6' piece of scrap left over that I could have. I walked out to his truck and sure enough, he had exactly what I needed and gladly gave it to me. I notice the logo on his truck and it said Art's Landscaping. If these are the type of folks working for this company, I would gladly use them for any and all landscape projects. I work for a large general contractor, so to see this type of courtesy and generosity, makes me proud to work in this industry!

Had to redo the foundation for a double metal gate almost immediately after it was installed, because this outfit neglected to establish a proper foundation for it, and it sagged within months. When I asked Art Lujan to correct the problem, he informed me that the problem was due to the ground being wet because of the sprinkler system (which was in place long before the gate was installed, so Art should have figured that into the gate design). Art refused to honor his work, so I had to pay for the re-installation myself. When the gate was removed in order to repair the problem, we discovered that there was only about 2 inches of concrete for the foundation, and nothing more. Now, I will need to replace and/or repair the very expensive pergola Art installed in my backyard a mere 4 or 5 years ago, for the exact same reason (only this time, there's no concrete or foundation at all, causing an extremely dangerous situation where the pergola could topple at any moment.
I would NEVER recommend this company for any landscaping work, as they seem to specialize in shoddy workmanship, poor design and failure to back up their work when there are problems. They DO know how to mow lawns, so there's that.

The yard is uneven . We noticed this when we put the pool up. The grass still doesn't sit flat. People were friendly, but expensive.

This contractor was extremely courteous and professional! He responded to my phone call within 2 days and worked us in his schedule within a week. He showed up early the day we had scheduled and was very personable. Will absolutely hire him again!
Did a great job spreading gravel and maintaining a well structured grade to rejuvenate our drive. We are ready for the monsoon season.

I needed a 24’ x 70’ area dug out and leveled for parking and the dirt removed used for building a pad for our new building. Chris arrived when he said he would and in 1 1:2 days had everything completed. When the concrete contractor came he said Chris had the pad level enough he didn’t have to do anything to it before starting. Chris also helped transplant two good sized trees that had to be uprooted where the new parking area was dug out. Chris did all of this for a very reasonable price. This is the second project he’s helped me out with and with the quality work he does I’ll keep using him. Thanks Chris!!

Chris with Modern Rock was prompt, professional, left a very clean space and gave us the best quote to boot.

No concrete made it on our walls or other flooring, and Chris was the only contractor we contacted who had an idea for alternate approach for the room - although we did settle on the common option of raising the entire floor of the room.

I'd recommend them in a heartbeat, and if I had need of more concrete work they'd be my first call.

I contacted Modern rock to have a new driveway and culvert installed. Chris gave me an estimate and completed the work very quickly! I am extremely satisfied with the work modern rock provided at a very reasonable rate! If you're looking for help with a project big or not too small? Lol! Salas Construction Company LLC is a great company to hired for any of old and new constructions work. Their job is so great because I didn't have to worry about anything like the demolition and they cleaned up all the construction areas. They also helped me to get the right materials for the jobs. I am satisfied with the great job they did on my kitchen and 3 bathrooms. I love the way they did an outcome of my house looking the way I wanted it. Good customer service and the jobs where on time. I recommend 100%.
