Deck Builder reviews in Brooklyn, New York

I am pleased to update this review and report that Jewel has now completed 4 projects with us, for a kitchen, pantry, bath, and full basement renovation. The kitchen, pantry, and bath renovation projects were key to getting a great sales price for our condo, and the full basement renovation of our house has added a significant amount of valuable living space.

We have been very impressed over the past 3 years with Jewel’s work, and would strongly recommend Jewel Construction Company to family and friends for any job!

Jewel and his team did an excellent job replacing our rooftop deck. We appreciated their experience and ideas, as well as commitment to quality craftsmanship, timely work and transparency throughout the process. The result was outstanding. Highly recommended!

I'm so glad that I found Jewel Construction Company and will be using him for future projects. His work is amazing. Jewel was very professional, patience and attentive to my needs. My one bedroom apartment needed a complete gut and Jewel helped me bring my vision to life. He completely renovated my whole kitchen and bathroom, designing it to perfection. He also re-did my wood floors, as well as a whole paint job. It was a pleasure working with Jewel, I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Jewel and his team renovated our backyard this year, we had a concrete deck in bad shape and broken concrete angled towards the house. Jewel worked with us to make our dream a reality to have a beautiful new steel and bluestone deck and bluestone patio with drywells and a natural stone wall. We couldn’t be happier with the results! Jewel and his team did a great job on all aspects of the multi monthlong project and was certainly the best contractor experience we’ve had since becoming homeowners! It’s also so great to have a good welder, Rana, on their team, something super tough to find in Brooklyn. Before and after photos attached!

I just stepped out of one of the two newly renovated bathrooms completed by Jewel Construction, and the quality of their work impressed me so much that I felt compelled to share this review.

From summer through fall, Jewel Construction transformed two bathrooms down to the studs, completely rebuilt my mudroom, and refreshed my backyard with a new fence and beautiful travertine pavers.

The entire team was a pleasure to work with—respectful, attentive, and always willing to help. I’ve owned my home for nearly three decades and have worked with many contractors, but this is the first time I truly felt partnered with a company that cared deeply about the outcome rather than just speed or profit. Jewel Construction approached every step and every detail with genuine commitment and care.

Their pricing was fair and reasonable, and when the inevitable small issues arose, any adjustments were handled appropriately and transparently.

I fully expect to hire them again as future projects come up

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jewel Construction Company for a major home improvement project, and I cannot speak highly enough of their outstanding service and craftsmanship. From the moment we engaged with them, Jewel and his team were incredibly communicative and prompt, ensuring that we were informed and comfortable with every step of the process.

The project involved sophisticated Trex decking and cladding, concrete repainting, pergola installation, light landscaping and lighting. The attention to detail and level of care that Jewel's team exhibited were truly impressive. They approached each aspect of the job with a high degree of professionalism and artistry, making sure that everything was executed to perfection.

What stood out the most was their commitment to quality and efficiency. Not only did they deliver superior results, but they also managed to complete the entire project ahead of schedule, which was a delightful surprise. Their punctuality and dedication to their craft made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional work that Jewel Construction Company provided. They transformed our outdoor space into a beautiful and functional area that exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a reliable, skilled, and efficient construction company, I highly recommend Jewel Construction Company. Their excellence is unmatched, and I would gladly work with them again on any future projects.

Thank you, Jewel and team, for your hard work and for making our vision a reality!

We've hired Jewel Construction Company for two projects. The first was a deck renovation, which turned out beautifully! This second project was more complicated, the demolition of an existing, but dated full bathroom. We live in a co-op building so it was very important that the contractor minimize the noise, dust and inconvenience to our neighbors. Jewel and his team did such an amazing job! Our neighbors gave them very positive marks and we love how our bathroom turned out. Jewel asks questions, offers solutions and cares about the details. We're thrilled with the end result and his crew's thoughtful care. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience working with Jewels. From the very beginning, his communication was excellent—he was always prompt, responsive, and clear, which made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. He was proactive in identifying issues and coming up with smart, effective solutions when challenges arose with other vendors. The work was completed ahead of schedule, and the quality exceeded our expectations. On top of that, Jewels is simply nice and easy to work with—professional, reliable, and genuinely pleasant. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and would absolutely work with him again.
