Update: Still No Reimbursement. Despite winning my NYS Court case against Mazgan, I'm now dealing with a separate issue as their failure to pay the judgment has forced me to seek assistance from the NYC Marshals office.

Mazgan initially quoted me $250 for the work, but then charged me $800 after just 2 hours of labor - that's an eye-watering hourly rate. They promised their expertise would ensure the job was done properly and took as long as needed. However, I got stuck with the bill and eventually paid. Just a couple of days later, the furnace stopped working again, prompting another visit from Mazgan. Initially, they wanted to charge me another $800, but after some negotiation, they came down to $400. The whole experience felt predatory and unsavory.

When I asked them to leave, they continued to push their services on me. I've since disputed the charge with my credit card company and plan to take further action if necessary. It's infuriating that Mazgan still sent me another invoice for their second visit, expecting me to pay again after being thrown out.

Mark set the tone for his team - Sadie, Jaki, and Gershon. They all share excellent qualities: courteous, professional, intelligent, and considerate of renters' and homeowners' needs. They're thorough, investing time to get the job right, and offer helpful suggestions on related aspects. What impressed me most was their willingness to tackle a Sunday service call, including replacing my water heater on short notice. I'd highly recommend them again without hesitation.
