We’ve been using Bartlett for years now and won’t go anywhere else. We started early on with other tree companies that would give the cheapest estimates, but you really get what you pay for - damaging the trees with spiked boots, dropping branches on the smaller trees, plants and lawn below, grinding up good and diseased woods together (we would usually keep the mulch), etc. We’ve worked with Gary and Chris on multiple occasions regarding soil quality, tree diseases, invasive species, etc. - They have been exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable every time. The crews come around with a safety inspector and do all the work and cleanup with finesse, all with minimal disturbance to the property. This level of professionalism, wealth of knowledge and integrity you just don’t get anywhere else. Looking forward to many more years of their service!

Small job for them but they took time to help with my tree problems and solve them. My trees were dying. Victor took steps to make the trees healthy and still checks in to see how my trees are growing. Victor is very knowledgeable and shows up on time. Great experience with him and this company.

Let me explain - Yes, they are a premium provider but the expertise that accompanies the men and woman who service you are bar none the finest. My first interaction was with Dawnmarie who set up our appointment. She has a beautiful voice and was such a pleasant person over the phone.
And then there was Michael Visser our arborist who answered all of our questions and with zero pressure. He provided so much information my wife and I felt like we were being educated rather than the typical - tree guy-fear tactic-must cut tree down-sales pitch. Michael’s professionalism was what made us decide to go with Bartlett. He prioritized all of our trees needs and really put us at ease, again, zero pressure. When it came time to talk about the scope of work Michael came back with a nicely typed contract- printed from his car-and he walked us around our property going over every single item.
Lastly the crew of men who came to service our trees are on another level. Everyone was in high visible clothing including hardhats & eye wear and not a single man wore spurs. Those men were phenomenal.

While the three man crew did a fine job I have to say I am VERY DISAPPOINTED that an on site arborist was not here (especially for the Japanese Maple). I was led to believe an arborist ( he actually said he would be coming) would be on site from the representative. I did a substantial amount of overseeing dead branch removal and pruning (more the purview of an arborist for whom I thought I was paying!) - and a bit more of the Maple was pruned than I would have liked. I don't know if this is a Bartlett practice, but the reason I went with the company is BECAUSE they tout on the job arborists. Really- I could have had my landscaper prune under my direction! Don't know if I'll do business with them again or recommend their work.

If more people had their trees trimmed professionally esp by Bartlett tree service, fewer people would cut their trees down. They did all the work without heavy equipment. Cleaned ALL the debris, and made my trees look gorgeous. They return calls promptly and are truly professional!

The crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job. Mike is an excellent hand pruner trimming not only the new growth but also opening the plants on the inside to allow air and sun to invigorate growth.

I normally like to be around when any body works at my house. But I just had the pleasure of using Bartlett Tree Experts. And my wife and I were just blown away. The crews attention to detail and safety are first and foremost! And Michael Visser is an outstanding arborist who went above and beyond, he was extremely attentive to our calls and responded to every txt message in a very timely manner. The men are like a team of coordinated tree soldiers !!! They even placed safety cones on all of our sprinkler heads and tree lighting. Honestly what other company does that. There trucks are all brand new and the men are all dressed in high visible garments. Absolutely incredible! I had Michael, an arborist from Bartlett, come out to look at our sick weeping cherry tree.

I had had two other tree experts here previously. The reason I was looking for a third opinion was because the two previous companies came up with entirely different diagnoses and solutions. Also, I wasn't convinced about the expertise of one of the experts, and the other expert came up with a diagnosis and solution without examining the tree.

Michael, on the other hand, did a deep dive into the tree's condition, from looking at the bark, the base of the tree and inside the stems, to observing the surrounding plantings, looking at the soil makeup and moisture, and a lot more. Incredibly thorough!

Additionally, Michael is just a genuinely nice guy who is obviously committed to his work that is clearly more than a job to him.

I am not a family member of Michael's, and I didn't know Bartlett before calling them a couple of days ago. So my observations are genuine.

While there's not much hope for my cherry, we will definitely be calling Michael at Bartlett first for any other tree issues we have down the road. Thank you Michael!

I was very pleased with Bartlett. I'm on the south shore of Long Island and have 8 very large trees I was concerned about. Thier arborists, Victor and Walter, put my mind at ease with their extensive knowledge, and came up with a solid plan to address the issues and walked me through the detailed costs and what would be done, including proper pruning and fertilization. The team that carried out the job, Melqui, Chris and Bernard were great, discussing with me in advance of what would be done, tree by tree, and carried out the work flawlessly. I would definitely recommend them.
