Kenny and his team did an amazing job on our house. We did a second floor extension/roof lift, re-did all the siding on our house and put on a new roof. He also did all our interior framing out and sheetrocking. He even had some design ideas regarding our soffit and corners that made a huge difference to the finished look of the house. The work was completed before the deadline we had hoped for and to an amazing standard. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. JC and Son did this work for us back in the summer of 2022.

3000 sq./ft. addition / reno

While Tarr's quality of work was highly recommended by a building inspector friend of ours we chose not go with them because they seemed to not want or need the work. Phone calls (about 4) each took 48 hours to be returned. We were told a detailed estimate would take 2 weeks and 3 weeks later we were told it would take one more.

Tarr's price was likely going to be better than the builder we ultimately went with but we didn't want to start a project with someone who didn't seem to care about their client.

I am extremely happy with the work done. The end result exceeded my expectations. Work progressed smoothly without any unnecessary delays. I was consulted at every stage amd was involved in the decision making anytime something unexpected arose. I received daily updates on the schedule for upcoming work to be done. There were no prolonged down days waiting for subcontractors to show up. I couldn't be more pleased.

My home came out amazing - could not recommend Tarr's highly enough. Not a single hiccup throughout the process and we did a full tear down/rebuild; feel like that's the exception not the rule with contractors. Go with complete confidence with Howie and team!

My project was to demolish an unused porch and "blow back" the rear (brick) wall of my 1st floor kitchen to create a large, joint open kitchen/den. Construction took approximately 3-1/2 months to complete.

From the outset TARR'S provided the most well thought out, comprehensive and therein credible estimate of the job which minimized uncertainties that might increase cost.

Once started there were no gaps, stoppages or unused days Each day I would receive a phone call from TARR's office staff informing me of who would be on-site and what would be accomplished the following day. This may sound trivial but I've known many folks where this did not occur leaving them uninformed, anxious and concerned about progress when days went by without activity,

Each of the specialized teams of workers arrived per plan and thoroughly cleaned up the work area before the day's end. The work quality was uniformly high, and I had no issues with any team's workmanship. Additionally, virtually every day, and sometimes twice a day, the project manager would stop by to ensure either I, or the work crew, didn't have any issues needing special attention.

While completion seemed to take a long time there was a lot that needed to be done from excavation and concrete footings to installing a 1700 lb. steel beam supporting the 2nd floor brick exterior wall, to final trim. In hindsight it all happened so smoothly that it now seems easy. The result has completely changed the feel of my entire 1st. floor in a very positive way.

I wholeheartedly will (and have) recommended TARR'S Home Improvements to others and will continue to do so. Not only did they do a great job but made it as easy as possible to accomplish.

Tarr just finished renovating our house from top to bottom and inside out, and did a truly amazingly amazing job. Not only is the quality of their work outstanding and extraordinary, they are also extremely reliable, honest and excellent clear communicators. Everything was 100% clear and transparent at all times and their were no surprises (and it worth mentioning that they did A TON of work!!). They were always available by phone and email and always gave prompt responses. Also, they helped us bring everything to code and took active steps to advise us on some instances when we weren't up to code and gave us several options to resolve the matters. They are conscious of budget choices and provided us with options. I would definitely work with Tarr again and highly recommend them, for small and large projects.

This time is our third project with Tarr’s. That being said it’s obvious we keep going back to the same contractor. The office team of Jen & Bridget with consistent communication and the installation teams make them a winning combination. We’ve recommended them to countless friends and my son only uses them as well. Not cheap, not ridiculous either, consistent with industry standards. They’re our go to, make them yours.
