Dock Builder reviews in Freeport, New York

A+ Service and response. Highly recommend

Great work. Great crew!

Super reliable, and their projects check all the boxes from a common sense, and economic perspective.

Kitzen construction is the best! Steve and his crew always professional and reliable. Always happy with all their work!!

Tight space with old existing bulkhead and old wooden deck. They were neat, prompt, priced right and courteous. My neighbor was so impressed he had them do his as well.

Steven has been tremendous to work with, helping me navigate a complex project. His professionalism is above reproach. His staff and crew are also a pleasure work with. Looking forward to my next project with the Kitzen team!

I’ve been living on the water for almost 30 years and I’ve done numerous bulkhead projects. Never have I experienced such professionalism as we experienced with this company. Steve is great to deal with. His crew came in and did two lifts along with all the electrical and carpentry. They worked like a fine tuned engine. Highly recommend.

I must complement Steven Kitzen of Kitzen Construction for such a great job on my home, and the other five homes that he did on my block, Kitzen Construction is a fabulous company for bulkhead and for finishing yards after bulkheading , you don’t even know that the job was done that’s how beautiful he does it. I would recommend Steven Kitzen and Kitzen Construction to anyone who is looking to do any major work on there bulk heading , or to do any major work in their yard. He is a hands-on boots on the ground guy. He never misses a call when you call him and I have to say I am so enthused and happy that I had this job done by him , for many many reasons not only the price, but the quality of workmanship. He is extremely easy to deal with, great pricing, and very fair, And extremely extremely very respectful and very professional workmanship. He visits the job every single day to make sure that everything is running exactly like promised, and even better I give him five stars anytime he’s a great great businessman and a great person to deal with.

Kitzen Construction is a top-notch company I would recommend to anyone. I have used them on a couple of different projects ranging from Marine construction to Residential construction. the company delivers a high quality work product in a timely fashion at fair prices. The staff is always courteous to deal with and are careful when working on the job site not to damage anything that's on site but not part of the project. The site crew always leaves the area spotless. If you are looking for a Full Service Construction Company CALL KITZEN CONSTRUCTION.

I highly recommend Kitzen Construction. I’ve had them do three different houses for bulkheads, as well as install two boat lifts. There were no surprises. The work was done perfectly, and the finished product was incredible. They always stayed on the timeline. They were the most reasonable company out there to do sea walls. Steven was a regular person to talk to, not like a robot. He completed the job before the expected end date. He came back three times for no charge to adjust things for me. I’ve dealt with a few companies and this is the best one I’ve had. I’ll use and recommend him always.

The Best of Long Island! If you need something done Steven and his teams are the guys you want for the job! I’ve lived on the water for over 25 years… and I was blown away with the work they did. They are so professional and do amazing work! I needed my entire backyard renovated from top to bottom bulk head, pier, floating docks and new boat lifts for my 45 foot cruiser…. my backyard is now a DREAM thanks to Kitzen construction. HIGHLY, highly recommend giving the owner a call and seeing what he can do for you! This man has a ton of experience that span generationally between him and his father so he knows what he doing.

I’ve worked with Steve (Kitzen) since 2013. He did my bulkhead, my entire back yard (pool, bars, etc), boat and jet ski lifts and much more. Steve’s work is amazing. He’s got wonderful vision and is a great communicator. Best part is, Steve was there after Sandy. The day before he help protect my glass railings. After Sandy he was there surveying the damage. His crew not only did so much for my backyard but helped out in so many other areas. When a storm impacted my float, Steve was there helping me through it. When my boat list had an issue, he was there. Only if you knew Steve like i do you’d understand this review is totally genuine. Two years ago we wanted to redo a portion of our backyard and Steve knew i was only going ask him to work on it. He was so fair pricing wise and can’t thank him enough. If you want to see his work, pm me.

Working with Kitzen Construction was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! From the moment we met Steve, the owner, we knew we were in good hands. It's clear that he takes great pride in his craft and genuinely cares about making his clients' visions come to life. I highly recommend Kitzen Construction to anyone seeking a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy bulkhead/ construction company. Thank you so much, Steve, and the entire Kitzen Construction team, for exceeding our expectations and for being an absolute pleasure to work with. We are grateful to have chosen your company for our project!!

Kitzen Construction recently rebuilt our bulkhead and did a fantastic job! The owner Steve is a great guy, honest, and very knowledgeable about marine construction/ backyard renovation. Steve is very easy to work and communicate with. His team, including the foreman John, were all professional, diligent, and respectful of our property. We had several companies give us estimates, and Kitzen gave us the best price using the best materials. It was not a simple job as we have over 100ft of bulkhead and needed helical piles for additional support. All of the work was done as promised and in a very timely fashion. We are now using Kitzen for helical piles/ grade beams for our patio and other backyard work. They came highly recommended from a number of friends, including an owner of a local marina, and I understand why. I can confidently and highly recommend Kitzen Construction to anyone in need of marine construction!

Kitzen construction did a beautiful job on my pier (110’) floating dock, boat lift and modified another boat lift to accommodate my two jet skis. He even supplied and installed my ez port jet ski docks. Considerable planning and forethought went into designing the perfect backyard oasis which truly makes it like being on vacation when I’m actually at home.

Furthermore, he obtained all the permits for me from Dec, army corps and the town put together a beautiful final product. Hands down recommend Steven and his crew of amazing employees .

We have had a sinking backyard for many years as do our neighbors. When our neighbor was redoing her bulkhead we were so impressed with the workman that we hired Kitzen on the spot. Now mind you these projects are involved and take a lot of time from start to finish but we could not be happier with our end result. Our house looks like a resort and Steve had so many great ideas for us to customize the project. Adding ropes, downward lighting and even mixing our deck colors. We can not wait to start this summer season and show off our new yard.

We had a great experience with Kitzen Construction and would recommend them to anyone looking to do marine or outdoor work! Our bulkhead was in complete disrepair and needed a total rebuild. We had gotten pricing from several companies and felt that their quote was fair. They started the job shortly after our permits were approved and we were truly amazed how hard their team worked to get it complete within 3 weeks; they did a FANTASTIC job and it came out better than I could have imagined. We opted for additional work afterwards to build a boardwalk, add railings, and level the ground with fill- it was super easy to work with them and they got it done timely. The owner was always in communication with us throughout the process and was very helpful when we had questions. Their team are some of the nicest and truly hardest workers I have ever seen. They clearly have integrity and take pride in what they do; their work is solid and the before & after photos speaks for itself!
