My experience with Evolution HVAC LLC and its owner James Burrell has been nothing short of disastrous. From the moment they took on our installation, I knew we were in trouble. The lack of follow-through was staggering - most calls and emails went unanswered for weeks on end.

The problems started from day one. They damaged my new furnace beyond recognition, denying any wrongdoing despite my eyewitness account of them hitting it with a hand to seat it while the blower was still running. This was just the beginning of a long list of issues they created during the installation process.

One year after the fact, I'm still waiting for these problems to be fixed. The furnace shakes like an unbalanced blower or bucket wheel when it's running on high speed. It's not just a vibration - if you place any tool on the furnace, it vibrates off. I've lost count of how many times I've brought this up with James, but he consistently claims he doesn't see it.

The gas valve was leaking after installation, despite being sealed properly before the job. When James checked it out, he said he didn't smell any gas, which is suspicious considering our basement was filled with gas shortly after the new furnace went online. It took months for them to finally replace the valve, only to strip the threads on the handle during the process.

The humidifier installation was a joke - it took over 10 months for it to work properly, and even then, it would run constantly instead of just "fan on". James claims he's worked with many Carrier furnaces, but I've since discovered that he doesn't actually know much about mine. The DPST switches are mounted upside down from the factory, according to the manual - a fact he was aware of but seemed determined to ignore.

It's been over 24 months now, and we're still waiting for these problems to be fixed. What's even more egregious is that James ran out the one-year labor warranty without ever addressing our issues or acknowledging any wrongdoing. He claims he didn't do it, despite having no choice but to have done so - a convenient excuse if I've ever seen one.

I'm appalled by the lack of accountability and transparency from Evolution HVAC LLC. The company was founded on the promise of putting customers first, but it's clear that this is nothing more than a hollow slogan used to manipulate unsuspecting victims like me.

In a phone call, James claimed that Carrier had spoken with me on the phone and said there was nothing wrong with my furnace - a ridiculous claim that I know for a fact is false. He also claimed he couldn't fix it if he didn't know what was wrong with it, which would be true only if he had actually done his job.

The company's Yelp page boasts an impressive-sounding 97 years in business, but behind the scenes, it's just a family-run operation that uses nothing more than James' reputation to lure in customers. I contacted his mother, who completely ignored my messages and emails - a classic case of "out of sight, out of mind".

My experience with Evolution HVAC LLC has left me feeling betrayed and angry. If you value your hard-earned money, stay far, far away from this company.
