Professional service from the beginning. We would use Harder again and will definitely recommend their services.

This company was contracted to trim the trees near the power lines for PSEG. They left my parents house an absolute mess. Branches were left all over the property. This company is obviously not detailed oriented nor takes pride in their work.

Not even worthy of one star -- Hank Harder is terrible at customer relations and even worse dependability. Got a quote on July 8 and was told it would be about 2 weeks. August 21 and still no tree trimming. First it was the storms in Suffolk county, then he had two big jobs, then his son was having a baby…today's excuse -- "it rained"! Tried calling him back and was told he was "out in the field with the crews" so apparently the rain didn't deter ALL his jobs, just mine!!! Never returns calls until he's good and ready. We had used this company three times before and thought it was only right to use them again!!! I will never use or recommend this company!!! BEWARE of him!

We just had Harder perform some tree trimming on our property which was executed to the exact directives by Jack to his outstanding crew. We’ve used Harder in the past to remove a large tree that was a possible damage threat in a perfect storm and no longer sustainable.
It was a “no brainer” calling Jack, who my wife calls “our arborist“.

I use Harder for weekly lawn and shrubs maintenance service. They are a pleasure to work with and stick to their weekly schedule, rain or shine. The supervisor and manager are very knowledgeable about lawn care. This is significantly more than the usual "grasscutters" who call themselves landscapers but know nothing about caring for a lawn, especially controlling weeds or how high to cut the grass so it conserves moisture and helps to guard against weeds.

You can not go wrong with Harder Tree!! With the amount of hack tree companies that will come and destroy your property, Harder is the only choice for all Tree and Landscaping needs!! Hank, Billy and Jack and their crews will take pride in the work performed on your property. Its why they have been in business for more than 50 years!!

Harder has worked on my family home in Long Island for over 10 years. They are extremely professional and creative. We have had several neighbors complement our landscape work. I would highly recommend them.

I seriously doubted that Harder Tree and Landscape Service would honor their warranty to replace plants that did not survive, but they did! Joe, the landscape architect, contacted me last week to say that he was in the process of selecting plants to replace those that died during the first season. The crew arrived today and did an amazing job. I know that my wife, who died last December and was saddened by the sight of the withered bushes, is smiling on our beautiful garden today.

For starters they answered their phone, no leaving messages on cellphones. That's huge. They came (to look over the work) when they said they were going to. They provided a written estimate. They arrived to do the work when they said they would. They cut down the trees and cleaned up just like they said they would. They stuck to their estimate, no funny business at the end. They were professional, polite and knowledgeable from start to finish. I couldn't be happier and gladly recommend them without reservation! They're the best.

Recently had Harder Landscaping at my house to provide an estimate for some landscaping work that I wanted performed. They were on time, courteous and very knowledgeable...unfortunately that is where it stopped. Their estimate was nearly 4 times the amount of another estimate I received for the same work. I decided to reach back out to Harder to see if the prices were negotiable given the drastic difference in price. After two phone calls and an email, I never received a response.

The services Jack and his team provide are amazing. Easy to work with and thorough. In the end the work they did gave us exactly what we were expecting. A nice change where what we hoped for, was what we got, and there was no hassle in between.

I want to highlight the excellent customer service we have received from Harder! From thoughtful proposals to quick follow up, and adaptability, they have been extraordinary. We've loved the team who comes to work on the property. They are professional and responsible, and Jack has been excellent to work with as the GM. Thank you, Harder!

Harder tree service is excellent. They are the earliest tree service to reply me. And the price is very fair. Today they came to trim the three big branches above my driveway and finished in 45 minutes. They worked very efficiently. Both my husband and me are satisfied. Next time we till want to use the company.

We have been using Harder Services for a few years. We needed a new service after Superstorm Sandy wiped out our entire property, home and garden. The owner had some great suggestions the first time we met and the workers that come here every week are polite and efficient.
They always help me around the garden and we wish we could have found this landscaping/tree service years earlier! Our home has never looked nicer!
I would recommend them to anyone looking for respectful service and the utmost in professional care for your garden and lawn; especially in this age where true care and respect are no longer seen in most businesses.

Tree removal. The debris from cutting down the tree was complelely taken away. The workers were courteous and professional. Price was reasonable.

I recently used Harder Tree Service for maintenance of some very large, 100 year old oak trees. Hank had given me an estimate for the job, detailed precisely what was needed and to be done.
The crew showed up exactly on time as promised. They were super professional and courteous. I was impressed at how efficiently they worked and even cleaned up the yard afterwards.
I will be calling Harder again for another job. Fully recommend them.

I have contacted Harder Tree and Landscape Service more than six times to request an estimate and hire them for their services, as they are listed on the FOURLEAF Best of Long Island List. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, during which I was repeatedly promised that I would receive a call for an estimate, I have been ignored every single time. This behavior is very unprofessional, and as a result, I now view the FOURLEAF FCU list with skepticism.

A real pleasure working with this team! I called for an estimate on a clean up and/ or maintenance. Hank showed up on time, gave me separate estimates for either or both jobs. The crew showed up on time and did a fantastic job. Price was very fair! Seems like a smooth operation, very professional. Strongly recommended!👍

Harder Tree Service is the best! They are knowledgeable, pleasant, careful workers who do a great job, leaving the property beautiful! Their work enhances our property! We will continue to use them in the future.

Harder was 1/2 the price of the other estimates I received to have my lawn replaced. They were fabulous. The stump grinder was at my house promptly at 7:45 AM as agreed. The lawn crew arrived by 8:05AM. They worked efficiently and politely. At 10:00 a supervisor came to check on the progress and by 11:00 the Jack Harder came himself, very personable and friendly.
By 1:30 a second crew came to help finish up so everyone could be done for the day. One guy stayed back to thoroughly water my lawn and another washed down my entire driveway. Everyone was gone by 2:45 and I had a fresh new lawn and clean driveway.
I cannot imagine what the other companies would do more for double the price. Communication was great. We conversed through email and then by text. I find it better this way than verbal over the phone so there is no confusion on what was agreed upon and responses can be made in a timely manner at our earliest convenience.
