Reviews of local pros in Hempstead, New York

I have contacted Harder Tree and Landscape Service more than six times to request an estimate and hire them for their services, as they are listed on the FOURLEAF Best of Long Island List. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, during which I was repeatedly promised that I would receive a call for an estimate, I have been ignored every single time. This behavior is very unprofessional, and as a result, I now view the FOURLEAF FCU list with skepticism.

A real pleasure working with this team! I called for an estimate on a clean up and/ or maintenance. Hank showed up on time, gave me separate estimates for either or both jobs. The crew showed up on time and did a fantastic job. Price was very fair! Seems like a smooth operation, very professional. Strongly recommended!👍

Harder Tree Service is the best! They are knowledgeable, pleasant, careful workers who do a great job, leaving the property beautiful! Their work enhances our property! We will continue to use them in the future.

Harder was 1/2 the price of the other estimates I received to have my lawn replaced. They were fabulous. The stump grinder was at my house promptly at 7:45 AM as agreed. The lawn crew arrived by 8:05AM. They worked efficiently and politely. At 10:00 a supervisor came to check on the progress and by 11:00 the Jack Harder came himself, very personable and friendly.
By 1:30 a second crew came to help finish up so everyone could be done for the day. One guy stayed back to thoroughly water my lawn and another washed down my entire driveway. Everyone was gone by 2:45 and I had a fresh new lawn and clean driveway.
I cannot imagine what the other companies would do more for double the price. Communication was great. We conversed through email and then by text. I find it better this way than verbal over the phone so there is no confusion on what was agreed upon and responses can be made in a timely manner at our earliest convenience.
Here are Before and After pictures.
I HIGHLY recommend them. A+A+A+

They came out and completed the evaluation for a tree cutting quote, but I never received the promised follow-up call or email. The lack of communication is extremely unprofessional. If they can’t follow through on something this simple, I wouldn’t feel confident trusting them with the actual job. Very disappointing experience.

I can't say enough great things about Harder Landscaping. After I took my above ground pool out, they transformed my bare backyard into a beautiful welcoming space. Very professional and reasonable. I would absolutely recommend them.

Green Empire Landscaping exceeded my expectations in every way. The level of detail, care, and precision they put into my property truly shows. It feels fresh

Had a great experience with them. Ben was super friendly and easy to work with. They upgraded both our landscaping and hardscaping, and everything came out clean and professional. Highly recommend them!!

Great service! Highly recommended!

Awesome this people know the job and they are trustworthy, I recommend them.

Great quality work and even better customer service. Go to for all my lawn needs!

Very disappointing to say the least. The owner said he would come by to my residence to do an estimate, but never showed up or responded then after. I do not know of his work, but I feel like accountability is in order and that's why I decided to share this review.

Jose and his team are amazing at what they do! He’s companionate and willing to accommodate to his clients needs!

I use Borja Lanscaping for my front & backyard grass, they are efficient & accommodating to your needs. My grass is the greenest on my block!

They have been providing services for almost 4 years and we are very pleased with their work. They are all very friendly and responsible. Love our yard.
