About the business:

Vulcan Waterproofing pioneered the development of interior drain and sump pumps. In the 1930s and 1940s, many homeowners began looking for ways to convert their basements into usable living space. Vulcan's founders began providing basement finishing services but quickly realized that these spaces first needed to be waterproofed to protect the investment in finishing from water damage. They developed the interior drain and sump pump solution to provide surrounding water an easy path to get discharged outside the home and not in the basement.

Today, with more than 75 years in business, Vulcan has perfected the interior drain and pump system. We have also added other services to address common basement water issues, including exterior waterproofing, vapor barriers and dehumidifiers.
