Fantastic business, beautiful plants and trees and friendly, knowledgeable salespeople! Love this place.

TLTR: I happened to find this establishment on Facebook Marketplace. I was looking for a specific indoor house plant, a variegated string of hearts. The listing stated it would ship but I drove in from Brooklyn and I’m so glad I did! As soon as I entered their beautiful grounds I was greeted by the owner, a super friendly and knowledgeable person. We conversed briefly and I sensed an instant affinity with him (plant people are connected someway, somehow)! I found what I came for, VSOH. I was then greeted by two other wonderful workers, they were so inviting and pleasant. I was given a tour of the grounds and it truly felt like a sanctuary to me. I saw guava, avocado, pomegranate trees, kiwi and grape vines…..so, so many tropical and exotic plants and trees! This place is amazing. Please visit.

I was extremely overjoyed with my experience at this shop, beautiful energy, very knowledgeable, prices are great and their were numerous amounts of plants; indoor and outdoor to choose from. Will be coming back again to fill our house with more life. Ase and gratitude

I first went to A&T for its golden reputation and fair pricing. I bought one hydrangea tree (which was such better quality than what I had seen available at other nurseries).

I’m 40 weeks pregnant so I paid the reasonable delivery fee and had the tree planted.

After the tree was planted, I chatted with Josh (one of their talented gardeners) and we spoke about how to give our new home a bit more life in the garden.

Immediately, I hopped in the car and bought two more beautiful weeping cherry blossom trees. I also purchased a few annuals to give the entrance the color the front of the house was desperately needing.

Sean, the owner and Josh had such wonderful ideas to move around what I already had, and incorporate the new that I had just purchased. Better yet, they had packed up the truck and brought it to my home on the spot because I was so pregnant and excited about my first time working with a garden designer.

I will never go to another nursery! The owner and the staff were so informative, friendly, and fair!

Went over to visit the A & T Garden Center last weekend in Island Park. The selection of plants and vegetables was excellent. All the staff there is very helpful and welcome taking the time to answer questions regarding the best way to choose and plant your selections. The new owner Darren is very plant smart and patient with customers. The former owners retired to Florida and now Darren runs this gem of a garden center. Highly recommend that you give it a try....you will be very impressed and happy that you did.

Amazing friendly owner & staff. Fabulous selection of indoor & outdoor plants & seeds. Landscaping, Soil, fertilizer, expert advice on plant issues. Unique plants to add to your collection.

The green house is warm & toasty though it is chilly outside. In February and hot as a steam room in June. Darren makes time to answer any plant questions you might have.

I usually do the big box stores to get a few veggies for our garden. I decided to give A&T a shot, keeping it to a local place. I am extremely glad I did. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Darren, and I can say he's got a customer for life. He made himself personable and even suggested options to get the most out of my garden. Pay A&T a visit, you won't regret it.

Love this place! Darren, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and kind. He is always sharing his knowledge with his customers which he treats like family. Incredible selection of plants and if he doesn’t have it, he will do his best to get it for you. I strongly encourage everyone to support this wonderful small business. Happy gardening!

I went there today to pick up some flats of flowers. What a selection I couldn’t believe it price is a great Darrin the owner helped me as well as the other employees. They are all very knowledgeable and friendly.Very happy with them will be going back for more.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff made my visit great. What they lack in selection due to size they make up for in expertise and willingness to help. Litter on the sidewalks was an eye sore, but that might just be a product of my timing.

By far the best nursery I’ve been to on Long Island. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they have a wide selection of houseplants and exotics, and fair price. Their greenhouse has healing powers too, I swear!!

We had the pleasure of working with Gary and Darren today. It was so nice to be with friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful professionals who go above and beyond when it comes to customer service- and it’s done with a SMILE!!! We were looking for a strawberry plant in a hanging pot, which we did not see during our visit. Gary took the time to listen to what we wanted and made us one in under one hour. We were BLOWN AWAY when we returned to pick up our plant, it was perfect. We will be back to pick up some of their gorgeous flowers next week. Highly, highly recommend. Spring has sprung. 🌹 🍓 😊
