Constraction reviews in Lynbrook, New York

I don’t know where to begin with this company. John and Dominick are the best in the business. They’re honest and kind and know their stuff! They explain everything. The guys that work for them are professional and nice. The work comes out beautifully. The ladies in the office are even so nice. I’ve had so much work done on my house with these guys that the list is endless. I highly recommend them. You won’t be sorry.

Personable and professional! I had wanted to get work done on my house and after crowdsourcing all my different options in Malverne, John Dominick stood out as the right business for the job. One curiously funny thing that happened was someone with a white late model Hyundai from Malverne Town Hall stole the Cusumano’s lawn sign off my lawn(I have it on video) I asked Cusumano about it and they were not surprise by it. Who knew Malverne was actually an overbearing home owners association? I surely didn’t but Debra from the Cusumano’s absolutely wanted to make it right, they offered new lawn signs lol. I’m glad I met them and would absolutely hire again.

The best!

We just completed a large house remodelling project with John Dominick Cusumano. We replaced the roof, the siding, front stairs and front door, garage doors. The quality of the work is excellent and working with them has been a pleasure.

We had a roof installation, chimney repair and new gutters installed.
Very professional, well run, family owned and operated business with personal assurance that your job matters.
Price was fair.
Work completed as contracted on time
John, Dominic and Donna make certain that you will have a positive experience.
Thank you
Joanne and Bob Belli

I recently had some repairs to my siding. The men were professional, fast and efficient.
I am so happy with the match and workmen-ship.
I will be using this company again for other services, and recommend them highly.
Thank you John Dominick Cusumano!

If I could give 100 stars I would. We have used JD Cusumano for a number of things in our home, but most recent was a bathroom remodel. They are amazing. Dominick and John are incredible to work with and all of the guys on his team are not just talented at their craft, but really patient and nice to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Truly incredible experience!!!!!!

In March 2022 we began a kitchen/powder room remodel that we had waited for over 20 years to do. We had initially met with Dominick who assured us he would be with us every step of the way. After opening up our kitchen ceiling, it was discovered that our primary bathroom upstairs was leaking and in much need of being renovated as well. Obviously this was not in our initial budget or plan. Dominick calmed my nerves and measured everything out so we could quickly order everything we needed for the bathroom remodel. When a problem arose with availability of items we ordered, John was able to direct us to websites where we found everything we ordered in the store online and available immediately. Our goal was to work on our kitchen and bathroom simultaneously to expedite the process and we were able to do so because of his direction. We hit a few snags along the way with our cabinetry that wouldn't fit properly. John and Dominick went to bat for us with our designer who was blaming them for the snafu but it was never an issue created by the work being done. The workers were at my home every single day, sometimes Saturdays and sometimes multiple workers doing their individual jobs. All of the workers from the electricians Billy, plumbers , painters, cabinet installers, woodworkers, etc. were very respectful of my home and always went out of their way to do exactly as we asked. They were efficient and on time daily. Donna in the office became my go to person for any questions or concerns I had. She was always kind, helpful and willing to listen. She was my lifesaver on many occasions. The job took a little longer than expected due to the added work and shipping delays and availability of products, but it came out beautiful. John & Dominick are great guys to work with. They are always available via a phone call or text and respond quickly. Everyone who walked within my home was a professional. I cant thank them enough for the hard work and attention to detail they put into all three rooms remodeled. Any other work I need, I wouldn't hesitate to call.

Beyond thrilled with the whole experience! So happy we chose Cusumano to re-roof our home. Everyone was so kind, and the crew did an amazing job, came on time and left the property immaculately clean..
We definitely made the right choice😊

Dear Dominick, you certainly are an expert in the Home Improvement Industry. The quality of the work done on my house is awesome. In the fifty-seven years that I have been in this house, I have never before been so pleased with the end result!
Your Crew have such great work ethic’s & attention to detail. They are all amazing.
I especially liked that you continuously inspected the progress.
Thank You so very much for your tremendous help and for always being available by phone & text without any delay. Pat McGinnis

John Dominick Cusumano is the best contractor around. They did a lot of work on my home and I couldn’t be happier. Their workers are professional and do beautiful work. John and Dominick explain everything in simple terms for people that don’t understand the issues. These guys are family to me. I love them. The office ladies are also superb and helpful.

I recently had 2 bathrooms renovated by John Dominick cusumano. They did high quality work, within their promised time frame with their promised price. The work was done to perfection. I highly recommend using this company for future renovations.

Best in the business!! The Cusumano team time and time again have delivered top notch service on all of our properties!! Whether it be locally in Nassau County or out in Montauk, Cusumano has always exceeded our expectations!!! Looking forward to the next project!!

After years of seeing water damage (but never any actual water) and after a parade of roofers with differing opinions and a wide range of prices an ad for John Dominick Cusumano caught my eye. The ad said “deal with the owner”. From my first call for an estimate to the completion of the job the entire experience was flawless!

PRICING: As promised, the owner came, went up on the roof, took pictures and sat down with me to explain what he had found. He then gave me a written estimate. My experience has been this; I don’t want the cheapest guy; he will likely cut corners or use shoddy materials. I don’t want the most expensive guy because he is likely just trying to take advantage. The price I got was right in the middle of the range of pricing I had gotten previously.

WORKMANSHIP: on the appointed day a crew, headed by a foreman showed up on time. They were efficient, quickly getting to work to rip off the old roof. None of this let’s just put the new one on top of the old one nonsense! They worked hard all day, stopping only for lunch. They flashed everything that required flashing with new copper flashing. Unlike many contractors I have seen (and heard) in my neighborhood there was no loud music, yelling or other disturbance. They were there to work and work they did!

FINISHED PRODUCT: Both the foreman and the owner checked the job after it was finished. The foreman even asked to go up into the attic because he saw some damage on the slate part of my roof and sure enough there was evidence of a leak in that area. The roof they replaced was a shingle roof. The main part of my 84 year old home is slate. They have expertise in all roofing materials and will be coming back to replace broken slates as part of routine maintenance.

EXPERIENCE My experience with John Dominick Cusumano was definitely 5 star on every level! I very strongly recommend them if you want a job that is fairly priced, competently done and truly easy on the homeowner from start to finish. As always, I suggest you be careful of similarly named companies whenever you Google a company for their contact info.

CUSUMANO…THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

We hired John Dominick Cusumano for a big home renovation. We added an entire floor to our ranch. They were extremely efficient, their workers are prompt, nice and clean up really well before they leave every day, and lastly our work was completed about 5 weeks sooner than anticipated. We will continue to recommend this company and if you’re thinking about using them, do it!

Once again, John Dominic Cusumano pleased beyond expectations! Recently had windows replaced and I reviewed then as *Top Notch* Contractors! As a result there were things in my home I kept putting off because of how difficult it is to find a *GREAT* contractor! Because of my previous experience with them, I called them back to quote on REPLACING wood floors in my home! We agreed to a price and soon thereafter the work began! The end result is astounding! My floors were in bad shape, after 67 years and not only did they have to be replaced but the entire beams and insulation had to go as well! The end result is amazing! Both rooms came out to be as though they were just built with the house! Their employees are top notch! From setting up all protective covering and blocking off that area of the house, we didn't experience much inconvenience or "dust" considering the scope of work that had to be done! Dominic said 4 days and 4 days it was! Clean up and replacement of moldings and painting along with any touch ups necessary due to the scope of work, done within 1 day! We are in love with our new floors and know that this company will always be our "go to" for any projects in our home! Thank you Dominic and your AMAZING TEAM for making this family so satisfied and thrilled!! Joann & Jim C.

Clean, professional service! Dominick and his crew are everything you'd want from a general contractor. From the initial planning they are prompt and thorough, excellent communication and every job is clean and done efficiently and precise. Highly recommend

John Dominick Cusumano was professional and excellent in his work. His office staff were professional and courteous. Others were unwilling to take on a job of an ac installation but this company was quite willing to install the ac on the third floor with no problem at a very reasonable price. The workers put the new sleeve, new ac and sealed the outside. Because they took on a small job and even worked on a Saturday, I would recommend them to anyone and I would call them for any other projects. Fabulous all around!

I had high expectations given the reputation of this business - they were far surpassed! From communication, to cost, to skill of craftsmanship, JDC has earned top marks. This is a second generation family business and those years of expertise shine through in every interaction. The masonry work looks stunning and completely transforms the face of the house. I look forward to working with the Cusamanos in the years to come as we continue to beautify and enlarge our family home.

Top-notch work! Replaced a walkway in one day and were a pleasure to deal with. From his competent office staff , workers and Dominick himself. They didn’t leave a drop of cement anywhere , so well done even my old school Italian father approved of their work ! Price was also comparable to any other estimates we received if not better. Highly recommend.

We are absolutely thrilled with the beautiful backyard overhang built by John Dominick Cusumano! From our very first consultation to the final nail, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The quality of work is truly outstanding. The structure is incredibly solid, perfectly finished, and looks like it was always meant to be part of our home. The craftsmanship is simply awesome.

What truly made this project a joy was the positive experience with their team. Every worker was professional, incredibly friendly, and respectful of our property. They were punctual, kept the work area remarkably tidy, and were always happy to answer our questions.

Finally, their attention to detail was absolutely amazing. From the precise measurements to the seamless integration with our existing structure and the perfect finishing touches, every single aspect was meticulously handled. They didn't just build an overhang; they crafted a beautiful, functional addition that we will enjoy for years to come.

We wholeheartedly recommend John Dominic Cusumano to anyone looking for a construction company that delivers beyond expectations!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Cusumano Construction! From start to finish, Dom and his team were professional, reliable, and an absolute pleasure to work with. They completely transformed our backyard with a stunning new patio renovation, gave our home a brand-new roof, and redid our driveway—all with incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Every phase of the project was handled with care and clear communication. The crew showed up *on time*, kept the worksite spotless, and made sure everything was done to perfection. The quality of the materials and the precision of this masonry work have truly exceeded our expectations.
What stood out most was how easy and stress-free they made the entire process. Dom listened to our ideas, offered helpful suggestions, was patient when we changed the design, and delivered exactly what we envisioned.
We’ve received so many compliments from neighbors, and we’ll definitely be using Cusumano for any future projects. Highly recommend Dom and his team to anyone looking for honest, skilled, and dependable contractors that really take pride in their work.
