Contractor reviews in Maspeth, New York

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Gee Bee and Sons LLC Construction since 2018, and I can confidently say they are one of the most reliable and professional contractors I’ve partnered with in New York City.

From day one, their team has demonstrated a strong commitment to quality, consistency, and accountability. Whether it’s routine repairs, large-scale renovations, or emergency work, they always show up prepared, communicate clearly, and deliver results on time. Their workmanship is excellent, and they take pride in doing the job right the first time—something that’s not always easy to find.

What truly sets them apart is their responsiveness and professionalism. In a fast-paced environment like NYC property management, having a contractor you can trust to act quickly and efficiently is invaluable. Gee Bee and Sons has never let me down, even under tight deadlines or challenging conditions.

I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, skilled, and trustworthy construction services. They’ve been a key partner in maintaining and improving our properties over the years, and I look forward to continuing our working relationship.

They were nice to deaL There workmanship is above par and they finished the project on time .

Great company! Great workers! Nick and Andrew are wonderful to work with. High quality work. Couldn’t be happier. Will definitely be contacting them for future work.

A fantastic and professional team that was responsive, reliable and knowledgeable. They worked collaboratively with the client and architect throughout the process and executed the design on schedule and with excellent workmanship. Highly recommended.

20 Years. These guys do excellent work when they do a job you
never have to call them back for redoing anything, So if are looking
for someone to do work at your home, office, buildings you owned

I have used GEEBEE & sons on four different occasions. The first time they came in
and finished a job another contractor had totally screwed up. The second time was atfer the storm totally wiped out our ground floor retail space.

Their work is professional neat and quick, their quotes accurate and their willingness to work around existing conditions be it with tenants or other trades is commendable.

I highly recommend them and will use them again when needed.

Gee Bee and Sons accomplished an intensive restoration of all the windows in our Manhattan co-op in early 2013. They did wonderful work, showing great pride in craftsmanship, superior skills, and a genuine work ethic. The work proved more difficult and complicated than originally envisioned, but Gee Bee stayed with the project with exceptional determination and finished the work on time.
I recommend them to you with enthusiasm and absolutely without reservation.

Sincerely
John Baker

We worked with Andrew, Nick and the Gee Bee and Sons crew for our bathroom and master bedroom renovations. They are responsive, on time and proposed great solutions when unexpected challenges came up. The supervisor in our building found it easy working with them too. It’s a pleasure to step into our new bathrooms now. We're really happy with the work they've done.

I can recommend GB & Sons without hesitation. I have solicited bids from them on several projects over the past 15 years, and used them on 2 separate occasions. Initially for a complete gut renovation of a 1BR apt in Manhattan (new kitchen/new/bath/new flooring etc). The quality of work was top notch, and held up great over the subsequent 10+ years that I owned the property. More recently (2019) GB's did a complete interior demolition of a building I own and subsequently repaired/re-affixed the rear fire escape. In all instances they have been professional, take pride in their work and deliver solid construction. They are not necessarily the cheapest, but certainly not overpriced - especially considering the quality of their work.

I am the manager of a building on NYC's UES. I first used GeeBee and Sons about 5 years ago to refurbish 100 year old windows and to replace the ones that were beyond repair. They did an excellent job and I have used them for several other jobs in my building since. I have also recommended them to shareholders looking to do work in their high end apartments and have been told each time that they were very happy with Gee Bee's performance. They are responsive, respectful of the building's rules, residents and staff and have been meeting every deadline. On many occasions they have put in extra time to meet deadlines and to make my board and shareholders happy. Highly recommend this company.

I hired George back in 2003 for a second story room addition. He showed up every morning at 7:00am on the dot and worked till about 7:00pm Mon-Fri. To this day his work is still in great condition. I recently had George remodel my kitchen, upgrade my electrical panel and install hardwood floors throughout my home; George and his team did an amazing job once again. I noticed that George had comments online and wanted to add my experience with Gee Bee and Sons Construction as well. I hope this helps anyone interested in a hiring a great contractor that takes pride in his work and has a great staff that follows that same attitude.

We have worked with Gee Bee and Sons LLC three times: twice for our home and once for a full build-out of our business on the Upper West Side. They have always been incredibly helpful, transparent, easy to work with, responsive, and a joy to be around. They do high quality work and care about the projects that they're involved with. We would recommend them without hesitation and will be going directly to them for all of our future needs.

Our building, in a Landmarks District of lower Manhattan, hired Gee Bee and Sons LLC Construction to repair and preserve our vault and the steelplate structures about the vault. From start to finish, our relationship with Gee Bee was positive! From Foreman to every worker on site, Gee Bee was extremely thorough, competent, careful, helpful and responsive. In the large picture - material and structural soundness - and the small focus on details as small as delicate painting areas, Gee Bee was smart, reliable and attentive. Navigating NYC protocols regarding work in a public space was smooth and competent. Communication between the building Board and Gee Bee was friendly, helpful, timely. Our questions, needed clarifications, and discussions about change orders were handled quickly and very professionally. Our financial arrangements with Gee Bee were clear and fair. We are very happy with our completed project and all interactions with Gee Bee in reaching it. I have no hesitation in recommending Gee Bee to anyone who needs a good working partner in a construction project!

Gee Bee and Sons LLC renovated our condo in the Flatiron District (Manhattan) after a massive flood destroyed our place. After 4 months, they transformed our place from a gutted mess to a contemporary and stylish home. We are pleased with their work.

They repaired/installed drywall, the crown and base moulding, closet doors/shelving, painted each room meticulously, and placed new wood flooring throughout. As for the kitchen, Gee Bee designed/built the cabinetry, and oversaw the installation of all the appliances. The 2 brothers who run the business, their crew, and their subcontractors are responsible, friendly, trustworthy, and are committed to completing what they promised.

Attached are the BEFORE/post-flood and AFTER Gee Bee work completion photos.

We recommend Gee Bee and Sons LLC!

I couldn’t be happier with my decision to hire Gee Bee & Sons for my apartment renovation and backyard patio overhaul. The primary goal of the project was to open up a rear wall in my 100-year-old Manhattan co-op and install the stunning doors you see in the photos.

After interviewing multiple contractors, Nick and Andrew stood out immediately for their responsiveness, expertise, and creative insights. They even suggested improvements that enhanced the final outcome in ways I hadn’t considered. I was so impressed with their work that I recommended them to my sister, who hired them to renovate a bathroom, and suggested my building hire them for future large capital improvement projects.

Their attention to detail is truly exceptional—even bringing car wash soap to clean any dust that might settle on cars while they unload materials. Their professionalism and dedication to quality are unmatched.

Clean and organized

One of the best home depot I've ever been in Customer service is great the stores very clean I've never had a problem finding parking in the parking lot and if you get hungry across from The Home Depot In the same parking lot there are restaurants where you can go and eat

Hi I stopped in Maspeth Home Depot at 5915 Maurice ave, with some concerns about a project on my house. I was greeted by millwork specialist Veronica Jimenez, who helped me a lot. Then on the second day there for the follow up to my project I was helped again by Customer Order specialist Allan Bahadur for the walk through of my entire project without any concerns at all. I like to take this time and say that both of these specialists are a great asset to Maspeth home Depot.
