Constraction reviews in Middle Village, New York

I am writing this to offer a different perspective for anyone considering Jerzy and CCSC. While other reviews mention quick turnarounds and "master craftsmanship," our experience was defined by a chronic pattern of over-promising and under-delivering that turned what was supposed to be a two-month project into an exhausting, expensive, six-month ordeal.

Jerzy’s initial charm masks significant issues with project management. We were frequently met with assurances that work would be finished “tomorrow” - commitments rarely kept, and a job culminating in shoddy finishing and a general lack of attention to detail, and an interminably incomplete punchlist.

More concerning was the breakdown in professional standards. CCSC did work without approval, by either the architect or the client, including the installation of expensive equipment we explicitly didn't want - followed by an aggressive and unprofessional attitude and refusal to remove it, when we objected.

By the end of the project, we didn’t even want the myriad remaining issues fixed; we simply wanted the team out of our house. Their presence, coupled with the constant broken promises, were a tax on our peace of mind.

If you value clear communication, adherence to a schedule, and a contractor who respects your vision, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Thanks for fashionable and timely reconstruction of my home. All as it should be. Highly recommended.

George the owner is honest, straightforward and very knowledgeable of all aspects of construction!
Very helpful and awesome carpenter!

A very creative and professional team. All work is completed at the highest level — fast, high-quality, and with outstanding results. I’m extremely satisfied with the collaboration. I’m extremely happy with the results. Highly recommend!

George and his crew remodeled my office, which was in dire need of repair. They did an absolutely amazing job, were quick, efficient and did not exceed the budget. They even made amazing suggestions for new light fixtures that added a lot of character to the office. I am very happy with CCS and would recommend them to everyone. Thanks to their hard work I actually want to go to work now!

After spending weeks looking dor someone to change out my front doors I finally hit the jackpot. Not only were they fair with their price but professional from start to finish. Very highly recommend.

I would like to share my outstanding experience with this construction company. From start to finish, their professionalism, attention to detail, and craftsmanship were truly exceptional.
They not only handled the renovation work flawlessly, but also designed and built absolutely incredible custom kitchen furniture. The quality exceeded all my expectations — every element was carefully thought out and perfectly executed. The final result is both beautiful and highly functional, transforming my kitchen into a space I truly enjoy every day.
I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for skilled professionals who take pride in their work and deliver outstanding results.

Very professional construction company. Does top notch work and great to work with them. I have wonderful experience with them. They are prompt and timely with their service when it comes to scheduling. Detail oriented. Highly recommend

I highly recommend Custom Construction Services - I recently had my apartment gut renovated and am thrilled with the results. Jerzy and his team are such talented professionals and it was a pleasure getting to work with them for the 3 months during the construction period. I had my kitchen ceiling and walls soundproofed/insulated to the highest standards with MLV and reslient isolation clips. I also knocked down a wall between the kitchen and the bedroom to allow for more natural light. The kitchen was completely gutted, and I added a ventless washer/dryer combo, dishwasher, and sleek two burner cooktop. I live in a very small co-op apartment where saving an inch here or there made all the difference. It was a priority for my kitchen to blend into my apartment as seamlessly as possible and not have any appliances exposed; they created my entire kitchen cabinets from Corian, which is an absolutely stunning and durable material. I also had a very specific vision for the lighting in my bedroom and wanted all ceiling lights to be Philips Hue fixtures so they could be controlled via my phone. Even when faced with challenges, Jerzy was determined to make sure that my apartment was perfect and exactly how I envisioned it. You cannot go wrong with Custom Construction Services. Their attention to detail is unparalleled. I wake up happy every day in my new apartment, and the photos speak for themselves! Thank you again so much for all your hard work!

He did multiple renovations for my house and for my business and he did a wonderful job. He is very trustworthy and I highly recommend him.

Mr. V. Pogosyan and his team provided professional renovation services. Everyone was courteous helpful, with work completed within the allotted time frame. The team was responsive, no drama, and provided service with a smile. In times of COVID-19, this was quite an accomplishment.
Would recommend Mr. Pogosyan without hesitation.

We hired vlad and his team to completely knock our house down and build a brand new one from the ground up. We were very very happy. Very friendly team, great quality work and most importantly great personality to deal with. Will recommend to many people going forward.

Vlad and his team are top notch. They recently completed some renovation work in my coop and I highly recommend them. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

My experience with Vlad was very good. He revovated two of our bathrooms in my apartment. We had some supply issues which was not Vlad's fault, and he worked with us to finish the job. The work was done properly. I would recommend Vlad

Vlad was an amazing contractor to work with. He is an excellent communicator and was able to completely gut renovate our apartment efficiently and beautifully. Will definitely work with him again in the future!

Vlad has done renovations for both myself and my real estate clients and has always done a great job. He is very thoughtful on his approach to projects and trustworthy to get them done well.

Vlad and his crew did a full renovation of my 2-bedroom, 1-bath NYC apartment. Everything from ripping out floors and installing new ones, gutting the bathroom and kitchen and rebuilding them from the floor - up, rewriting the apartment, skim coating every wall and ceiling to a smooth sheen to cover up the cracks that plague NYC apartment walls over time and so many other things. Every construction job has challenges and issues but it was how Vlad handled those problems as they arise that impressed me... with a calm demeanor and prompt attention. The job was finished on time and his crew was on the job to complete it. I found Vlad to be fair in price, thorough in his work and easy to work with. I run my own business and tend to control details.....I learned to trust Vlad. He knew more than I did about construction and he was usually right. If I were doing another apartment today I would hire Vlad and his crew again. No questions asked

Vlad is an amazing contractor to work with.

Honestly I think I was lucky enough to be able to get them. He has a small crew I was just two guys in him. And those two guys have a golden hands. They can do almost anything and have 100% follow through.

He does have subcontractors that do some of the work for him as well, and he keeps those subcontractors to the highest possible standards. I have seen him correct things, snap of them if he has to, and push them around just to make sure that the quality of their work represents the quality of his two guys.

He is always ready to make a recommendation, however will never overstep and undermine your opinion. He’s extremely calm and a pleasure to work with. Walk me through a full house renovations in three months. He was always available any time of day for me to contact him when buying material, and walked me through everything. My project took almost 3 months, two floors and an unfinished basement to finish.

I cannot say enough great things about him, and cannot wait to work with him in the future.

Vlad is an excellent contractor and exceptionally flexible and accommodating. He was always available to communicate with, and I found him to be reliable, trustworthy and dependable. His prices were very fair and affordable when I was comparing to others, and the quality of work was great. I would recommend him anytime!

Vlad is very professional once he takes on a project and will be very upfront with status and feasibility of your design. He completes the job in time and also gives the right suggestions to make your dream project not only look good but also be functional. I will happily recommend him to friends and family in the future based on my experience with him

My experience with Vlad and his crew has always been a positive one. I met Vlad over 10 years ago and I use him exclusively for all my projects. The best part of having to deal with Vlad is that if there are ever any issues or concerns they are always ready and willing to come back and redo what needs to be redone. Vlad is a "yes" man. He never lets anyone down and is there to assist you in any aspect of the job. He never refused my requests and is always hands on with the project. I have proudly recommended VP construction to many of my friends and associates over the years. I believe Vlad's business has grown tremendously over the years because of referrals and no-one would ever refer a bad contractor. I recommend Vlad and VP construction to anyone who needs a reliable and trusted contractor for any type of job.
