I am writing this to offer a different perspective for anyone considering Jerzy and CCSC. While other reviews mention quick turnarounds and "master craftsmanship," our experience was defined by a chronic pattern of over-promising and under-delivering that turned what was supposed to be a two-month project into an exhausting, expensive, six-month ordeal.

Jerzy’s initial charm masks significant issues with project management. We were frequently met with assurances that work would be finished “tomorrow” - commitments rarely kept, and a job culminating in shoddy finishing and a general lack of attention to detail, and an interminably incomplete punchlist.

More concerning was the breakdown in professional standards. CCSC did work without approval, by either the architect or the client, including the installation of expensive equipment we explicitly didn't want - followed by an aggressive and unprofessional attitude and refusal to remove it, when we objected.

By the end of the project, we didn’t even want the myriad remaining issues fixed; we simply wanted the team out of our house. Their presence, coupled with the constant broken promises, were a tax on our peace of mind.

If you value clear communication, adherence to a schedule, and a contractor who respects your vision, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

I highly recommend Custom Construction Services - I recently had my apartment gut renovated and am thrilled with the results. Jerzy and his team are such talented professionals and it was a pleasure getting to work with them for the 3 months during the construction period. I had my kitchen ceiling and walls soundproofed/insulated to the highest standards with MLV and reslient isolation clips. I also knocked down a wall between the kitchen and the bedroom to allow for more natural light. The kitchen was completely gutted, and I added a ventless washer/dryer combo, dishwasher, and sleek two burner cooktop. I live in a very small co-op apartment where saving an inch here or there made all the difference. It was a priority for my kitchen to blend into my apartment as seamlessly as possible and not have any appliances exposed; they created my entire kitchen cabinets from Corian, which is an absolutely stunning and durable material. I also had a very specific vision for the lighting in my bedroom and wanted all ceiling lights to be Philips Hue fixtures so they could be controlled via my phone. Even when faced with challenges, Jerzy was determined to make sure that my apartment was perfect and exactly how I envisioned it. You cannot go wrong with Custom Construction Services. Their attention to detail is unparalleled. I wake up happy every day in my new apartment, and the photos speak for themselves! Thank you again so much for all your hard work!
