Reviews of local pros in Pelham, New York

We have been working as partners with Annie and Breath of Spring for over 20 years now, and they have helped us design and landscape two homes, as well as our beach club in Westchester.  The projects themselves were all different, and BOS and Annie easily adjusted to the venue and objectives of each.  We added and subtracted hardscape (Lawrence is an artist with all types of stonework), created perennial beds anchored with evergreens and shrubs, built beautiful pollinator gardens around fruits and vegetables, designed screens, negotiated deer and salt water, focused on organic and sustainable planting, all with an eye towards long term results, low maintenance, and value for our investment.  They are professionals with a true passion for what they do, and both are apparent in what they can create.

Annie and her staff do the best landscaping and maintenance I have ever had. She has an eye for details and a knowledge of plants and flowers that creates ever - changing beauty through the seasons. And her staff are meticulous and clean in their maintenance of plantings. I have been working with Annie for more than 15 years and I’m never disappointed with the results!

Annie and her experienced team at Breath of Spring completely transformed my overgrown perennial garden. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the work. The tree and shrub trimming was done with real care and precision. The quality of their work truly speaks for itself — my yard has never looked better. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a landscaper who takes real pride in what they do and has expertise with native plants.

Over the past 7 years or so, we have been very happy with Annie and the team at Breath of Spring! Annie has a unique gift of visualizing a beautiful space and turning a challenging yard into a place of beauty and serenity, for all the family to enjoy! Thank you Annie and team for all you do! Ann is a talented and dedicated gardener.

Professional, reasonably priced and terrific to work with.

Annie and her team are great to work with! They are creative, honest, and hardworking.

The entire Breath of Spring team was incredibly responsive and made my home look amazing. Highly recommended!

Breath of Spring has been amazing! They are very thoughtful and dynamic in their approach. Our landscape is much more sustainable and easier to manage and thinks outside the box. The owner has 40+ years experience.

Ann Gaillard, owner of Breath Of Spring landscaping, is a landscaping genius. She had a vision to transform my nice property into something spectacular. She re-graded the entire front and backyard of our 1 acre property, took out truckloads of rocks and virtually useless soil, curved the beds, planted shrubs, trees, and perennial flowers. She built, retaining walls, cut back overgrown trees, and designed a courtyard in front of our new addition. Ann arranged for trees to bloom in the spring one after the next all in different colors. The property is totally transformed and my husband and I cannot believe how spacious and beautiful it looks! I would highly recommend Ann and her amazing crew for any project large or small.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Annie at Breath of Spring on several landscaping projects— and each time, she has truly transformed the property. Her eye for space and flow, combined with a deep understanding of what works best for the environment, consistently results in beautiful, functional outdoor spaces.
From turning a small spec garden into a welcoming oasis, reimagining a driveway to create better flow and additional parking in addition to space for sports, to restoring a waterfront property, Annie has exceeded our expectations every single time.
One of her greatest assets is the expert network she brings—many of whom have worked with her for decades. For our most recent project, I especially appreciated the added support of a talented landscape designer and a new office administrator, which made a noticeable difference in communication and transparency throughout the process.
I’m excited to continue working with Annie and her team on future projects.

The Breath of Spring team did comprehensive work at our home including grading the entire yard, repositioning plants, and also masonry work which included building a new patio. The team was a pleasure to work, always very responsive and got the work done efficiently without compromising on quality or attention to detail. We look forward to continuing to work with them as we undertake new projects.

Beautiful design and execution. Maintenance is excellent. And Annie is so knowledgeable - all questions about plants and trees are expertly answered. I take great pleasure in my landscaped garden.

Breath of Spring (Annie & Suli), helped us complete a long-needed property transformation last Summer & Fall 2025, and we couldn't be happier with both the design process and the outcome. We have a very challenging property with many different grade, wind exposure, and daylighting conditions, and we struggled for years to get something cohesive to work and thrive. Work included complete soil remediation, site grading & drainage, new masonry paths & repair (including rebuilding existing stone walls we thought we would have to replace with new stone), as well as a full planting plan and install. Great communication throughout the project , true professionals both in design and the installation.

I have worked with Annie Gaillard at Breath of Spring for decades, and can give her the highest recommendation. She is one of a kind, they don't make them like Annie any more. She has landscaping and flowers in her bones. She knows intuitively what my property needs, has endless ideas and top-tier advice. Her services are excellent. My neighbors have all called me to find out who I use for landscaping. You won't find anyone better in Westchester County!

Annie has the unique ability of spending time in an outdoor space and quickly knowing how to improve it. Facilitating the flow and enjoyment of your yard, directing water drainage, and identifying new plantings are all in her wheelhouse. Annie sprinkles in educational knowledge and stories about the relationship between plants and people and how to foster a harmonious environment.

Breath of Spring has done a wonderful job of creating and maintaining our beautiful outdoor spaces. Annie is a creative master, and knows everything there is to know about landscaping. Her team is made up of experts as well, and when they come to do the annual trimming etc, you can almost hear the plants/ bushes and trees sigh with gratitude. For us, we have a serene and beautiful picture to look at whenever we look at any part of our garden. I would highly recommend Breath of Spring.

Annie Galliard and Breath of Spring are the hands down best! We spotted her work on another home some 30 years ago and have been graced with their remarkable landscaping every since--including rock walls, oak and maple trees that are now fully mature (a true blessing), a rock terrace and complete backyard makeover. that included blocking out pesky lights from neighboring properties. Highly highly recommend them. Run don't walk if you are looking for top notch landscaping. You will not regret it!!!!

Really high quality work every time.

These people are a joke, and the rudest people I've ever encountered. Don't waste your time and money on these people

Extremely bad attitude. Had an issue and tried to discuss with owner and he was very nasty. Not happy with the finished product.
