My wife and I just completed a complete kitchen remodel with Robert's Kitchens and they exceeded our expectations.

Our project was a bit more complex than the average kitchen remodel because the prior owner's of our home had an addition to the back of the house including the kitchen with the placement of a steel beam in the kitchen that resulted in a 10 inch drop in the height of the ceiling for the back half of the kitchen. As a result, we had shorter cabinets and soffits over the cabinets in the area outside of the addition. The technical problem was raising the 20 foot beam into the floor joists in a safe and proper design.

Bob Wells came and we discussed the problem in a preliminary meeting and he told us that he would have his contractor Gil come to evaluate the possibility of moving the beam.

Gil came over and took measurements and we cut a few holes in the ceiling to confirm the location of plumbing and wiring. He indicated that he could do the construction portion but he wanted to confirm the design with a structural engineer.

Gil and the engineer came in and inspected the structural aspects of the project and the engineer approved the plan and answered all my questions, Gil's questions, and Bob's questions. My wife and I were pleased at their thoroughness and professionalism.

We sought quotes from several other large kitchen contractors in the area and they initially indicated that they would be able to move the beam, but then refused without even investigating what would be involved.

Once we made our decision to go forward with Robert's Kitchens, we had a series of meeting with Bob at his office to select a design, cabinets, and hardware. I can't emphasize enough how comfortable we were working with Bob and how he helped us make good decisions with out any sales pressure. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating. We had draft designs promptly with any design change.

Gil, Jeff, and Jonathon were the contractors on site. They were very professional and neat and respectful of our home.
Johnathon did a masterful job relocating all of the plumbing from the upstairs bathrooms down a chase to allow the relocation for the beam.

They built structural walls to carry the load while they moved the beam up into the floor joists. The results are amazing structurally and transformative to our kitchen with a ceiling at one height allowing larger cabinets and the elimination of the soffits.

Every day, Gil, Jeff and Johnathon set up dust protection for the living areas around the kitchen before they performed their work and they cleaned up every afternoon before leaving. I can say my wife and I trusted their work and enjoyed speaking with them daily.
The quality of their work is exceptional. The drywall, the electrical and lighting, the plumbing, the tile work, the cabinetry and the finish carpentry on the cabinets and crown molding were all top notch.

I commend Bob in being flexible in his planning and problem solving. The cabinet manufacturer did not send one of the base cabinets that Bob ordered. We talked with Bob and put in a wine cooler and ordered a smaller cabinet saving several hundred dollars when compared to the larger cabinet.

Bob was available to us throughout the project and stopped by to monitor progress and to assure that everything was going as planned. He was readily available by phone whenever we needed him and provided prompt informative responses. He helped us make decisions when we asked for his input and did not push us in any decision making. He made us comfortable throughout the design and construction process.

The results of all of their great work is a kitchen that exceeds our expectations and that our family will enjoy for years!

My wife and I both strongly recommend Robert's Kitchens without any hesitation. When we need remodeling work of any type in the future, our choice will be Robert's Kitchens.

His contractor team is meticulous and reliable and a pleasure to work with. Bob also is fair and works with you to get the result you want at the price point that works for you. Rob and John were a dream to work with. As with any renovation, there were a few hiccups along the way, but I always felt that they had my back, and they always went all out to make sure that I was satisfied in the end. They are by far the most responsive, accommodating, and professional contractors I have ever worked with, and the final product is stunning. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our experience will this company started off very rocky from the very first interaction. The first time i called someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up on me. I was annoyed but figured accidents happened and immediately called back. A woman answered and took my information to have "the guys" call me back about getting a quote to remodel my bathroom. I didn't hear back from anyone for 6 days, until finally the owner Rob called me himself. He started the conversation explaining that he was very hesitant to call me back because of where i lived and wanted to drive through my neighborhood first to scope it out before calling me back. Then started asking me if i felt my neighborhood was safe, and went on to say that his guys are scared of getting their tools stolen. I do not live in a bad neighborhood by any means, but i do live in the city and I'm sure this is where his "fear" comes from. In my lifetime i have experienced so many occasions where people from Fairport/ Victor/ Pittsford feel like they are too good to associate themselves with the city of Rochester, and this is the case for the owner of this company. This is discrimination at its finest, the owner discriminated against me for where i live. I did agree for Rob to come out and provide a quote still at first. Then after thinking about how upset that interaction made me, decided that i no longer wanted to move forward with possibly offering the company my business. I called to cancel the consultation meeting, the woman put me on hold then hung up on me AGAIN. Overall, i feel this company is extremely unprofessional and needs a reality check. Please do not give them your business.

Roberts Kitchen exceeded all expectations! I knew when I walked in the door the very first time this was the perfect fit for us ! Working with Bob Wells to create the perfect kitchen for our family from design , construction to completion was seamless! He paid so much attention to detail , listened to everything we wanted , shared his wealth of experience with us on the many options , helped with appliance selection , came to the countertop store to help us with selection , was on site many times throughout the project and was super communicative! Brent who did the complete install was excellent! A happy smile through the door each morning with such fine craftsmanship to follow. He looked after everything from the demo to completion. Rob and John are very client orientated and communicative working through details and are clearly very invested in the community and making the clients so happy with their projects. Rob said to me upon our first meeting something that has stuck in my head “ I want to meet all my clients in Wegmans and know that I have done the best we could !” I have a picture perfect kitchen that is extremely functional and literally takes my breath away every time I walk in it ! Extremely happy ! I cant say enough !! If considering a renovation please consider Roberts Kitchen ! I promise you will be so happy !!!

Had a great experience working with Rob, John, and the team. I love what came out of my kitchen and bathroom remodels and they went out of their way to make sure I was happy.

We worked with John on a kitchen refresh - new countertops, sink, electrical, backsplash. John went above and beyond to make our project as simple and seamless as possible. When we couldn't make up our minds on options, he shared spectacular recommendations. The renovation itself happened in the exact amount of time John told us it would take, which is a rarity. John and Bob fixed several things in our kitchen that we didn't even ask them to fix. I would give 10 stars if I could! Our kitchen looks 1000 times better than it did before. I loved working with Roberts Kitchens and I absolutely LOVE my new kitchen. We have a small house and I wanted more space and storage. I told Bob what I wanted and Bob and his crew were WONDERFUL to work with. At times, I couldn’t envision how it was going to look but Bob guided me through it and I’m so glad I put my trust in him. What Roberts Kitchen did to our 1940’s kitchen would make a chef envious. They designed, gutted to the studs, and, with a perfect blending of aesthetics with functionality, left our family with a perfect gathering/work space. We hosted the holidays for our extended families for the first time ever; the scene of so many cooks all prepping, sautéing, and joking in the same place is one of the happiest moments of our lives. Our daughter can proudly bring home friends. For us, there are no longer recipes we can’t make because of limited counter space or insufficient room for needed equipment.
Roberts workers showed up when they said they would. They stayed with the project until it was completed to our satisfaction - no starting another project before finishing ours. The draconian design (they took down a wall) made us anxious, but we trusted them, and “wow” they could see what we never could have. It made all the difference.
