Very unprofessional. 6 weeks no estimate after several text. If can't send a simple estimate or reply to a simple texts how would they be if a problem with workmanship? Peoples time is money too so don't waste my time for appointment then you don't send an estimate and ignore my many text.

Working with Cusomano was realtively simple. They work fast and the work was good...but I would learn, it wasn't great. Once they are gone, it feels like you get treated as though ou are in the rearview mirror. We had a small issue with the concrete cracking only a few months after they did the job. We called them about it and were told the owner would call back to set a time for them to come take a look. This happened 2 or 3 times but he never called back or came by. We also have an issue with the fence gate that expands and contracts. The way they insallted them, I have no more room to expand the gate so it's a bit of a pain to work now. We learned that they never put conrete in the one fence post that typically holds it in place and should be common practice. Doing so prevenets such significant gaps in the expansion and contraction and allows for it to open and close properly year-round. Someone else ended up doing this for us after the fact and it has helped. Not the end of the world but after a $20k+ job, I expected more. And we have another big job we will need done in the Spring but will have to take our business elsewhere as a result.

Rick and Vin could not have been a better contractor for our bathroom installation. They were always available to answer questions. They did an amazing job. Very clean, always on time and the most important truthful in all aspects. Professional from beginning to end. I would recommend them for any job.

We hired Rick and Vincent to redo our kids bathroom. They showed up everyday at 8 am and made sure their guys knew what they were doing for the day. Their workers were very professional and kind. We have 2 dogs who were quite annoying with barking but the guys were extremely friendly in trying to win over the dogs. Needless to say the bathroom turned out beautifully. We were very pleased with their work. We would definitely hire them again. Highly recommend!

Rick & Vincent are very professional. Their staff is awesome, as well. Rick responds to texts almost immediately. What we were promised, we got. They renovated our kitchen & upgraded our other rooms with lighting, painting, wallpaper & floors. I am so happy with the work they did for us.
The two brothers are very respectful of your requests & make suggestions, if you ask, which were very helpful.
When we need additional work done, we will not hesitate to call them. We highly recommend them.

G&M is a pleasure to work with. I needed a big repair job after water damage destroyed 2 ceilings and a floor. I had a very limited window of time and Phil and his team came in and got the job done. Their work is excellent. They did everything to make their presence in my home comfortable for me. I would highly recommend G&M and will, in fact, be using them for future projects.

I used G&M Construction last year for renovations in my co-op in Manhattan and found them to be very professional. They did beautiful work and I've had lots of compliments on the kitchen and bathroom in particular. I would and have recommended them to others looking to get similar projects done- very reliable and excellent work.

Overall went amazing! Phil was extremely “user friendly”, taking the time to explain things and was always on time, if not early (which is a good thing). We had to tear down 3 levels of different ceiling in order to replace ceiling and install high hats; patch hole where through the wall air conditioner was; and remove concrete steps. He took the time to cover floors and walls and clean up at the end of the job. Project went very smoothly except for a minor issue of slightly warped siding due to painting. Despite the siding, would certainly hire again.

WONDERFUL Bathrooms & Gorgeous Patio! Amazing attention to detail and incredibly talented! Phil and his team far exceeded all of our expectations and would immediately turn to them if we were to have any additional renovations. Great company that strives to fully satisfy. I can’t begin to explain and compliment G&M Construction Group My Wife and I had set out for a roofer and we looked and looked and a friend of mine Dave highly recommended Phil after about 6 other estimates we chose Phil he came back at us with an amazing deal, squeezed us into his busy schedule and did a Top Notch Job from tear down to clean up it was like nobody was ever there his crew were very respectful and professional and Our roof looks AMAZING!! Over and above this Job My wife had asked if he can build a ramp at my Father in laws house (recently had become unable to walk) and again with his schedule they just banged it out today and another AMAZING job by G&M Construction Group he’s local to us and now i will not use another bunch of highly trained pros other then G&M. Great Job!! Phil and the team at G&M were a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and always in communication. We had a large extension built with all phases of construction required.. electrical, plumbing, framing, roofing, siding, drywall, flooring, etc.

Phil has done exceptional work on our new house! He truly can do it all - stonework and siding, front pillars, grading, trimwork, our fireplace (and that's just so far!)... everything is done perfectly and is beautiful. Phil is a master and I feel confident when he works on our house because he truly is the best.

If you’re considering ANY type of home renovation, home improvement, or home construction, you MUST work with Phil at G&M Construction. Believe me when I say that after all the nightmare stories about contractors I've heard through the years that I never expected to have such a positive experience that I’d be sitting here writing this. I’m going to be very thorough in what I’m about to write because I hope to help anyone who is doing their homework right now the way I did mine...I know how important any type of home project is because for us this has been THE biggest investment of both money and time that we had to plan for (outside of the purchase of the house itself).

From beginning to end, Phil has been the best person we could have ever asked to work with. Let me break down why:

ON TIME & AT BUDGET
We've all heard the adage "over budget and over schedule" when it comes to contractors. I googled this and it turns out that a staggering 91.5% of projects go over budget, over schedule, or both. Phil literally defied the adage by finishing ahead of schedule and right at the cost he had projected. He was conservative at first and made sure to set the proper expectations, but he really listened to our needs about having to be out of our lease by a certain date and he actually shifted things around in his schedule with his other clients to ensure that all the work would be done by that date. On top of it all, as things came up he never suggested the most expensive option; he’d explain when something was necessary but also when it would be a waste of our money. He is the opposite of a salesman trying to upsell. He is a human being who knows what it means to have a dollar amount above which you simply cannot go. He will never compromise quality, but he will try to find you the best option for your dollar that will not come back to bite you in 5 years. Which leads me to:

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
From our windows and sliding doors, to the electrical and plumbing, to the flooring and whitewashing — we used Phil for every aspect of this project because, quite simply, he knows his stuff more than anyone else. He took the time to educate us and then guide and advise us as if we were a family member or a friend, not just a client.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
As I said before, this was going to be one of our largest expenditures so I was obviously going to put in time doing my homework and research to narrow down to even just a few companies to bring in for the initial estimate. Phil was not only light years ahead of the others in terms of his knowledge and obvious experience, but he was also the first to get us an itemized estimate within 2 days. (Let me stop here and take a moment to say that one of the other companies NEVER got back to me. I called and texted several times with no response. That was July.. I have yet to hear anything. If this is how they are while they’re still trying to land the business I cringe to think about the absolute nightmare we would have lived if we hired them. So while I don’t like bashing companies, I do hope to help other people in the same situation as us — so I will simply say do NOT go with Liz at John Hubler & Sons. That is all.)

Since that first day, Phil has remained as consistent and timely with his communications. He’s responded to every call and text within minutes, and has always had an answer and/or solution within the hour.

I can’t praise Phil enough — not only is he smart, experienced, quick and resourceful, on top of it all he genuinely cares and is fun to be around.

THANK YOU PHIL for turning what we expected to be a nightmare process into a project that was not only smooth but actually enjoyable! You not only transformed our home, you transformed our mindset about contractors. And come next summer, it is going to be YOU that we work with for the even larger project of our backyard makeover. There is NOBODY better to work with, period.

I needed a new toilet and G&M did the work. Philip is an excellent diagnostician and all around genius when it comes to any problem one might have. He knows how things work and he sets about fixing the problem quickly, efficiently and with little or no mess. He is completely trustworthy and very hard-working and will not quit until the problem is solved. I heartily recommend him without hesitation or qualification.

My wife and I hired G&M for a few projects in our house. The first of which is our bedroom. This is an Oceanside Cape. Not a small master bedroom, however limited on wall space and height at the front and back. Phil and I were able to sit down and redesign the entire space. He took all my ideas and approched them with the eye of an artist/creator. He built approximately 30 + feet of custom shelving. New lighting, sheetrock work, amazing paint, as well as stearing me towards a well known and local carpet dealer. Phil and his employees were done with this first project start to finish in 3 days. Amazing! I can honestly say I will never use another contractor other than G&M. Professional Mom and Pop company from minute one. As well as fairly beating every other contractor we had given us a quote. I look forward to our next project together. Another bedroom as well as a stairwell and hallway. We had a water leak in August which caused substantial water damage to the living room and dining room ceiling and the bathroom. We had ugly water stains on the ceilings and the bathroom tiles were coming off.

We hired Phil based on the fair price he quoted for the job. Turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made in a while. Phil and his crew (Alphonso and George) were phenomenal!! They were extremely professional, courteous, punctual and took the time to explain every detail along the way.

Based on this experience we also add a few more items to the list. Again, we got a fair price for these jobs. They finished all the tasks in a couple of days. The finished job was perfect. We cant tell that we ever had any leaks. I give him full marks for the job his team did.
