Constraction reviews in Sleepy Hollow, New York

They never answered the phone🙄

Does great work on variety of building needs for our large building.

Douro Construction is synonymous with competence, professionalism, rigor and passion! I strongly recommend it!

Renato and the team were a pleasure to work with. They were responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. We will definitely use their services again and highly recommend them.

Poor Quality Workmanship. I hired this company to install expensive, porcelain tile in 2 bathrooms. What they did looks like blind men installed it with their feet. The grout is missing in several spots- important places like the shower floor and the tub area- places where water will leak into the walls if I don't get it repaired. The tile is not straight, and some joints are quite a bit larger than others. When I pointed this out to them, they told me they would take care of it. They put grout on top of grout, so now it just looks worse than ever- and they STILL managed to miss several key places. Again, when I pointed this out to Renato, he had the audacity to tell me how to mix the grout and do it. Um, no, that's why I hired YOU and paid you my money, because I thought you were professionals. Clearly they are not professionals, and clearly customer satisfaction is not their priority. They also very much lack skilled precision to make the job look good. They are completely satisfied with the way my bathrooms look- with missing grout, uneven tile, chunks of thinset over my wood floors, etc. I now have to hire another company to redo everything they did.

They also clearly don't own a level, because my floor is so uneven, I now have to get shims installed under my vanity so it doesn't wobble. I've renovated a few homes, and this is by far the worst bunch of installers I've ever come across. Don't just take my word for it, I have pictures.

Renato and his team are ahead of the rest in Westchester. Try are always on time , and the job always looks great. I have had him work small and large jobs and I have all ways been satisfied. We problem solved our way through one tough job and I was thrilled with his integrity and honesty. I love working with Renato and his team and they will continue to be my Goto guys.

I have a 30 plus year relationship with Douro Construction. They have handled small to large project and met them with the best solutions. Managing to stay within the budget and never compromising with the best quality of workmanship. They have been able to offer unique alternatives to many problems I've encountered over the years of maintaining a unique property.

I had a fantastic experience with Douro construction and would recommend them highly without hesitation. They renovated three bathrooms for me, gutted and completely restored. The service was meticulous, responsive, and all of the subs were excellent at their craft. I live in an old house and parts of the job were difficult. They were excellent troubleshooters and solved every issue that arose with intelligence and professionalism. All around 5 stars!

We were talking about calling Renato for another project and realized we never posted a review. To me the best endorsement is the fact that we were excited to have Renato come back to do more work at our house. Of all the contractors we’ve had at our house for various work and estimates Renato was by far the most responsive and easiest to work with. His attention to detail and finished product speaks for itself. We were very pleased with how he was able to extend our bluestone patio and match what had been in place for over 20 years. He gave special attention to a drainage issue we were having and was able to mitigate the problem.

We are so glad that Douro Construction was recommended to us. Their work is EXCELLENT! When they arrived to survey what we were asking to be repaired, Renato carefully looked over the area; asked questions to ensure that he understood our concerns; explained very clearly what could & couldn't be done. Within a few days we got our estimate that clearly explained step by step what would be done and the cost. It is very refreshing that in our present day there are still companies that adhere to old fashioned ideals of customer service and quality work.We highly recommend Douro Construction for your repair work. And you will enjoy be treated in a professional and kindly manner.

Simply amazing. Attention to detail and easy to communicate. This is a great company to work with!

Diego and his team did a great job!

Diego and his Team are top notch! We have been using them for years and for multiple different types of projects and every time, we are amazed by the outcome. Definitely recommend - give them a call!

We have worked with WPC on multiple occasions, from smaller projects to full floor renovations. We love working with Diego and his crew. They are detail oriented, clean, respectful, and do amazing work. Highly recommend!

Diego and his crew are solid. He has the right guys for the job. They've done a large exterior job for me and a couple mid-size interior jobs. Both were completed thoughtfully, timely and efficiently. The crew is tidy and comprehensive and they stand by their work.

I have hired Westchester Pro Contracting to do major renovations on both my primary and secondary homes, as well as build my commercial space, a full-service coffee shop, from the ground up. In my primary residence, they did a full renovation of my basement to include a family area, bar, full bathroom, laundry room and built in cabinets in the pantry area. They also installed new storm and sliding glass doors and an awning on the first level of my home. At my secondary home, they completely rebuilt my front porch. Finally, they completely built my commercial coffee shop from an abandoned warehouse to a gorgeous restaurant space. I highly recommend them. Diego Portilla, owner, is a pleasure to work with. He is honest, dependable and has a keen eye for detail. His crew are hardworking and very talented. They will always be my go-to for my contracting needs.

We have worked with Westchester Pro for several projects on our home and were always completely satisfied with the level of service and attention to detail that the team brings to the task at hand. They work really hard to get a project done the right way while balancing the needs of your family life. They go into a job with plenty of preparation and planning to make things go as smoothly as possible. Getting construction done on your home can be stressful and disruptive, but I always felt really happy that we had someone we could trust.

We highly recommend Westchester Pro Contracting. Diego and his team worked with us on a significant remodeling job, including adding a bathroom, several dormers, a front porch, and more. We found Diego to be responsive to our phone calls, meticulous with his notes and details, and generally took care of our home as if it was his own. We have heard horror stories regarding other contractors not finishing large jobs— and we were happy to find none of that was true with Westchester Pro Contracting. They did a lovely job remodeling our home and we plan on hiring them for any future jobs, large and small.

Amazing kitchen Transformation! Diego and his crew are truly the best . They work quick and efficiently while paying attention to detail and never cutting corners . Diego is a stand up guy always communicating and going above and beyond . Will use Westchester Pro Contracting for all of our home renovations .

We feel so lucky to know Diego and his awesome team. They were recommended by a neighbor, and that's the best way to find a good contractor! I recommend them as well. They do the excellent work at a reasonable price. Everything from our siding to our closets are thanks to Westchester Pro. We will use them again when we build our dream kitchen one day!

Deigo and his team exceeded expectations! They helped us with a construction job for basement legalization and crushed it!! Professional and knowledgeable! Thank you!!
