Clover was quick to respond to my queries, fixing the issue with my AC system while I was away on vacation during a sweltering summer month. Their solution was effective, but the bill came as a surprise.

Be cautious of their hidden minimums for non-contract service calls - a $400 minimum charge just for 30 minutes of work, plus an additional $200 for showing up, seems excessive and may deter you from using them unless you're locked into a contract.

We had a guy come out to give us an estimate that included taking down some ceiling board to find a leak. The quote ended up being way more than we expected - actually higher than another quote we got for the whole job! We can't comment on their work, but the price for just an assessment and quote was astronomical compared to what others were charging. Needless to say, we won't be calling them again.

Be careful who you hire for your home services needs. I had a heating issue that required a motherboard replacement, which Clover promptly diagnosed and quoted me on. The initial inspection cost $144. Later, they sent over three bids ranging from $1800 to $5000. When I asked about the cost of the specific part needed ($200), the representative became evasive, refusing to disclose its price. They claimed they're a service-oriented company and don't work by parts alone.

My gut told me something was off, so I reached out to another technician who recently worked on my AC. He arrived the next day, inspected my system for free, and confirmed that the motherboard needed replacing. His estimate included over 2 hours of labor at $200, with the part itself costing $200 as well. Totaling $400, the repair was done efficiently and effectively, leaving my heating system running like new.

Be careful when hiring this company. A technician visited my home to check my air conditioning, presented three options: replacing the unit outright ($320 + labor), tracing the source of the leak for $225, or topping up with Freon at a quoted price (way higher than industry standard). The recommended option was the second one. After research, I found out that their method is more expensive than necessary. My new technician did the job for a fraction of their initial quote and didn't charge an outrageous diagnostic fee like they do. This company seems dishonest and overpriced – avoid them if you can.

We would not recommend using Clover for your heating or cooling needs. We hired them four years ago to install a ductless system that cost over $20k, but it's never worked right. They've visited us at least 16 times claiming to fix issues, but nothing ever got done. The owner, Anthony, used to listen in the first year, but now he ignores our calls and won't even bother responding despite our good behavior.

We had to bring in another local expert who fixed the problems caused by their initial installation. We were extremely dissatisfied with Clover's service level and especially disappointed in how Anthony handled it. He wouldn't respond or offer any fixes after weeks of requests, only agreeing to send someone if we prepaid $150. This was still no guarantee of diagnosis or repair.

In contrast, a single visit from Sila fixed the issues and now our system works properly. After 16 visits with Clover, we got nowhere.

Called for a quote, but was left waiting for over a week for someone to follow up. The person who finally contacted me wasn't the initial sales professional I spoke with, which added to the frustration of not getting proper assistance from the start.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I recently had work done on my AC unit and was quoted $3000 for a part under warranty, along with a service fee of $300. The owner assured me that the refund would be processed directly from the manufacturer, but it's now been over six weeks and I'm being told they'll apply the credit to future services instead. This is completely unacceptable - my unit is still under warranty and the money for the part belongs to me, not them. The owner claims this is a "policy" thing, but no one in the company seems to know how to actually apply the credit to my account. I'm fighting this issue, but let others beware: these individuals will try to scam you out of your hard-earned money.

Saw one of their drivers in Harrison today being extremely aggressive and reckless, putting lives at risk – can't shake the feeling this company prioritizes profits over public safety.
