Ryan's done an excellent job helping us build a bird-and-bee attracting garden full of native plants that support a healthy and biodiverse ecosystem. We're bird nuts and we've already seen a wonderful uptick in hummingbirds, and look forward to our first year of our new berry-baring bushes giving us new visitors throughout the year.

Edited due to owner response: The owner’s take on the situation only furthers the lack of accountability and lack of understanding of the situation. He has over simplified in an effort to make the review seem like a “threat”—which it is not, just a review of our service. What he is calling “maintenance” we are calling “our flowers that you planted NEVER bloomed”. With so many options out there, why take a chance on this one when what they plant may not bloom? So many other good landscapes out there. Learn from our mistake!

There was some confusion about the scope of the job at first, but in the end, Ryan made it right and completed the work as agreed. He initially forgot to complete part of the layout we had discussed, but he did come back and finish the other side as promised.

The project was planted in September, but come spring, nothing bloomed. Instead of the plants we were promised, we ended up with a yard full of weeds. The company claimed there was nothing that could have been done to control the weeds before planting—something multiple other landscapers have told us is a sign of sloppy, careless work.

Unfortunately, Ryan has not taken accountability for the outcome and has since stopped responding to our attempts to follow up. Essentially, we paid thousands of dollars for plants that never grew, and we didn’t realize the full extent of the issue until seven months later—when everything was supposed to bloom but didn’t. Very disappointed.

Ryan and his team consistently deliver excellent work. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with him on multiple projects for my irrigation business. He is very communicative and highly professional, with a keen eye for design. His pricing is fair and reflects the quality and expertise he brings to each project. Whenever my customers in Westchester County ask for a landscaping recommendation, I confidently refer them to one name: Rosewater Garden Design."

We hired Ryan and his team to design a shade garden and plant some border shrubs around our backyard. I had a pretty specific vision for what I wanted, and Ryan was great with listening to my ideas and co-developing a design with the benefit of his extensive knowledge of which plants would thrive best in the space. Rosewater Design does nice work and I appreciate their commitment to environmentalism; however, difficulties working with the owner Ryan have forced me to look for a different landscape design service. Ryan is challenging to get a hold of, takes days to get back to you and is overall inconsistent and unreliable. Unfortunately, it doesnt seem like there is anyone else at the company to communicate with in his place. It’s a real shame as I have seen photos and in person designs of his and I really did want to move forward.

I now have the pollinator garden of my dreams!! Rosewater Garden Design is not only easy to work with, friendly, and receptive; their knowledge of the plant world is incredible. After completing a project in Fall of 2024, I’m working with them again on a larger project in Spring 2025. 10/10 recommend!!!

Ryan and his team have been a joy to work with on our small yard. Ryan worked with me to plan out revamped front and side beds for our house that focus on native plants good for pollinators and with easy upkeep. Everything grew in quickly and beautifully due to their expertise.
