We had a kitchen and bathroom renovation done in our home with poor craftsmanship and serious safety issues. We brought this up to the father and son owners, who had no remedy and said most homes are not renovated perfectly.
Our new 40,000 kids bathroom leaked into our brand kitchen due to faulty tub installation, which we later had to rip out and repair. They never installed a permanent tub spout. We used temporary scratched spout. We tried to reach them, sent a certified letter with no reply.
The washer/dryer room built/installed without a drain and the double doors not wide enough to fully open the dryer, it could open 70%.
The herringbone wood floor in kitchen was installed by someone who was intoxicated 2 of the 4 days in our home. We immediately phoned the owners to express our concern on both occasions and they said they could not advise someone what to do in their free time. One 4'x 8 ' are of the flooring has a 1.5 slope due to it not be leveled. The main area of the flooring has 1/2 - 3/4 inch spaces. My 1929 home has better original flooring then this new hack job.
Our dishwasher was never installed using screws into our island, stove is not level and oven is missing one screw we discovered 4 weeks later with no solution offered.
Overall there was poor craftsmanship, no attention to detail and we were left with expensive repairs and no communication or remedy. This job had nearly 20,000 in repairs and the only balance we had left to pay them was a mere 4k, which wasn't enough to get them to complete the repairs.
We paid 10s of thousands of extra charges since our home was older, without question but our home renovation was poorly executed from start to finish with a one year guarantee they did not honor. We had over 30 issues, but I'm highlighting the major expenses in this review.
I urge you to rethink hiring this father/son team who left my young family with 3 children with enormous repairs and safety issues.
